We have been with them since the beginning and were one of the earliest adopters. They were very attentive to our requests, and as an early, they developed a product that meets rigorous accounting standards and offers useful automations that work well. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros It simplifies client onboarding and then the money just flows in naturally with very little effort! Our merchant processing costs dropped significantly and clients like the transparency. #### Cons They need to work on a mobile friendly view of their website. I also would like the ability to navigate to a different agreement without having to go back out to the main list and wait for the whole page to populate, which is slow for a company of our size. #### Reasons for switching to Anchor We had to set up each client in our gateway manually and bill them manually each month. Customers could only pay by credit card, and we paid the usual amount of fees. Client onboarding was complex, and every month we spent a lot of time chasing the money. #### Vendor response Julie, Thank you for the review for being an active part of making our platform better since day one! We still have a ways to go, but right now the onboarding pains are heavily outweighed by ease of use and simplification of our processes. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros Ease of process - everything in one place, payment processing is much cleaner when tracking and syncing to our accounting, and way less chasing declined payments. Their customer support is also on point; I can't sing their praises enough. They are the type of staff you wish you could poach for your own team - haha! Truly kind, patient, and knowledgeable people. #### Cons We have a very large client base, so the transition was not the easiest. Lots of manual work to get everything in on our end. We knew it would be hard, but definitely underestimated the workload. That said, the Anchor team has been fabulous to work with and supported the best they could at every turn. The only two things I would improve on is, one: to highlight sections of the terms that must be checked off when missed/skipped. We've had a LOT of back-and-forth emails with clients about not being able to complete their agreement because they skipped a check box section. It's not a huge deal, but when onboarding a lot of clients, that's become a time suck. If the agreement inherently bolded that section/turned it red or gave an error message to go back, that would be amazing. We even tried to pre-notify clients, but half of them don't read the emails fully to catch that instruction. And two: create a place for the customer to enter their billing information that would sync with our QBO. This is for our tax purposes. Our old system did collect addresses and would sync to our QBO, making life way easier. This is now another follow-up step we have to add to our list outside of the proposal. #### Reasons for choosing Anchor Personal recommendations from trusted fellow professionals really helped tip the scales. #### Reasons for switching to Anchor CC fees, constant/ongoing sync integration issues, ease of use, and combining things into one place. #### Vendor response Jen, We really appreciate the honesty here. I have been able to slash AR to nearly zero. #### Cons One area Anchor could work on is ACH payment times, but that is actively being sped up. I really appreciate how professional the proposals and agreements look, and the fact that I can automate so much of the onboarding process. It saves me time and creates a polished, streamlined experience for my clients. #### Cons By default, Anchor sets payments to credit card processing, which passes the processing fee on to the client. While it’s very easy to switch to free ACH transfers, many clients miss this during setup. I’ve created a Loom video to walk clients through the process, but I wish the default setup made ACH the more visible option. #### Reasons for switching to Anchor Before Anchor, my process for bringing on a new client was clunky and time-consuming. I had to create contracts and packages using a mix of Excel and Adobe, then send them for signature. Once the client signed, I would separately create a recurring invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Not only did this take a lot of time and energy, but the workflow never ran smoothly. Payments didn’t always line up with the contract terms, and I often had to spend extra effort reconciling things manually. Anchor has completely changed that for me. Now I can send one professional, automated package that includes the contract, services, and billing all in one place. As soon as the client signs, everything flows seamlessly into recurring payments without me having to re-enter or track details.
