It connects to the ERP you already run (ProShop, Fulcrum, JobBOSS², with Acumatica and SYSPRO also supported), reads jobs, routings and work centers, and can write schedule dates back depending on how your shop runs. When a job runs long, an operator is out, material is late or a hot order lands, Skody recomputes the whole shop schedule from current ERP and floor data, so the plan stays runnable through the shift. Machines and people can be scheduled together (operator skills and workforce on the Plant & Enterprise plan), plus setup families and clustering, pallets and lights-out running. Planners get a production Gantt, worker schedule, bottleneck map, late-job visibility and capacity forecast, and can run what-if scenarios before committing. The Skody team has been incredibly helpful and accommodating during setup and initial uses. Job shop scheduling is one of the most complex problems in the world and this software not only solves that for us, but also gives us other dashboards and tools to help us succeed. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros The scheduling software is great. We were never able to get over 80% OTD because we weren't able to look far enough ahead, and now we're looking at a plan that will make us 100% OTD within a month. I really like that the schedule takes into account people and their skills as well. For instance if a machine is available but our operator is working on another machine at that time, the software will try to find someone else with that skill to work on the machine. This will in-turn make a "Worker Schedule" which my team follows instead of just a schedule that says what jobs are supposed to be on which machines. #### Cons It's difficult to come up with many cons. The system just works. I guess the only con would be that you to have good data on the front end. Without good BOMs, time tracking, etc the system will do it's best to calculate a good plan, but that plan is much better with accurate data. #### Vendor response Zach — really appreciate this. Love hearing the impact on OTD, and especially that the team is actually following the schedule — that’s the goal. And agree on data — we’ll keep helping tighten that loop. API with proshop is great also. #### Cons Does not have part pictures in the software. Makes seeing what the job is at a glance is a little difficult. #### Vendor response Hey Adam — really appreciate this. Glad the dashboards are actually being used on the shop floor… that’s the goal, not just another screen in the office. And yeah — fair call on part pictures. We’ve heard this from a couple shops now. It’s on our near-term roadmap so operators can identify jobs faster without digging. Thou, we have to be careful of ITAR/CMMC. Also great to hear the ProShop API piece is working well — we’re doubling down there. If you’re up for it, would love to grab 15 min and show you what’s coming next (pallet + what-if planning is getting interesting). Any design suggestion we bring them gets implemented fast, not weeks later. It's clear they want us to win with this tool, not just sell it and move on. The interface itself is the most adaptable and easy to use I've worked with. The display makes it easy to catch mistakes before they become problems. The warnings are detailed and give real information for resource planning, whether that's machine capacity or worker availability. Cons and overall experience still stand as drafted. Let me know if you want to adjust those too, or if this is ready to paste in. #### Cons We're still working out the best way to run it alongside ProShop. Some of that is on us, we're changing internal processes to fit the tool instead of forcing the tool to fit our old habits, and that transition takes time. It pairs with our ERP, captures data, and uses AI to enhance our schedule in a more productive manner, optimizing work that would take days and weeks manually in a matter of seconds. We also like the team behind the product—they are incredibly responsive and work hard to bring us updates frequently when we have suggestions. We have a thought for an improvement and within days they have a solution. They have a deep knowledge of coding and can resolve bugs, implement new features very fast. #### Cons Not really any Cons. Skody is just an early company at the moment but they have a lot of momentum on their side as word is spreading. #### Vendor response Kody — really appreciate you taking the time to write this. “Fast development” is exactly what we’re aiming for — but grounded in real shop feedback, not just features for the sake of it. You’ve been pushing us with real-world use cases, and that’s what makes the product better. The bugs, the edge cases, the “this doesn’t quite work on our floor” — that’s where the real progress happens. We know we’re early.
