Select to learn more

Intuitive Interface And Onboarding

Float offers a clean, intuitive interface that makes it easy for users to navigate, plan, and visualize tasks and resources. The platform is user-friendly for both beginners and experienced users, with a minimal learning curve and clear visuals that help teams quickly understand schedules and assignments.

Collaborative Resource Coordination

Float streamlines team management by providing real-time visibility into workloads, resource allocation, and availability. Collaborative tools support coordination across departments and remote teams, making it easier to balance workloads, track progress, and keep everyone aligned on goals and schedules.

Flexible Team Scheduling Tools

With Float, scheduling is straightforward and highly visual, allowing users to create, adjust, and view team schedules with ease. Features like calendar grids, real-time updates, and mobile access help teams manage shifts, appointments, and resource allocation efficiently, supporting both individual and group planning.

Task Editing And Automation Gaps

Task management in Float can be cumbersome, with limited options for recurring tasks, splitting, copying, and automating assignments. Users report difficulties with editing tasks, managing dependencies, and customizing task views, which can slow down workflow and make handling multiple or complex tasks challenging.

Challenges With Staff Coordination

Employee management in Float presents issues with time tracking, managing part-time or freelance staff, and syncing with payroll or leave systems. Inconsistent data entry and lack of integration can lead to administrative burdens, while onboarding and managing large teams may require extra effort from managers.

Limited Project Tracking Features

Float's project management capabilities are restricted, lacking features like Gantt charts, detailed project views, and robust integrations with other tools. Managing multiple projects can become cluttered, and users often struggle with assigning hours, splitting projects, and keeping track of resources across complex projects.

Overall, my experience with Float has been very positive. It’s a reliable and user-friendly tool that makes managing schedules and team workloads much more straightforward. The visual layout and real-time updates help keep everything organized and transparent, which is especially useful when juggling multiple projects or shifting priorities.

Pros:

What stands out most about Float is how intuitive and visual the scheduling experience is. The drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to map out projects, assign team members, and adjust timelines in real time without getting bogged down in complexity.

Cons:

One drawback of Float is that, while the interface is clean and easy to use, it can feel a bit limited when you need more detailed reporting or deeper customization. If you’re looking for highly granular analytics or advanced filtering, the built-in tools may not go as far as you’d like.

My experience with Float

5

Float has been a game changer for my team. The visual timelines make managing tasks easy, and the calendar view keeps everything organized in one place. The interface is simple and intuitive, so my team picked it up right away. Customer support is quick, and time tracking helps us stay on budget. Worth every penny

Pros:

I’ve been using Float at work for a while, and honestly, the Resource Scheduling with Visual Timelines has changed how we operate. Now, I can actually see everyone’s workload at a glance. No more accidentally piling too much on someone or scrambling to shift things around. Making adjustments is quick and painless

Cons:

Float works pretty well on desktop, but the mobile app has a few annoying syncing glitches. Every now and then, things just don’t line up right, and it throws off our workflow. It’s frustrating. I really hope the team tackles this in future updates so using Float feels smooth, no matter what device you’re on.

Reasons for switching to Float

We switched to Float once we saw how much better it handles project management. The resource scheduling and visual timelines are just way more advanced than what Trello offers, so keeping track of workloads got a whole lot easier.

Functionality

Pros:

It shows me on a timeline, when people are available. This is adequate; I wasn’t really expecting the colors to make much sense or be an overwhelming mess but surprisingly it worked well enough for our clients. Okay, the block view works great for seeing the blocks of work I need to do during the day. And the program did not freeze up after I entered all the employees’ information (which took way longer than expected).

Cons:

The mobile version of this application is completely ridiculous. Once I enter a task, I am forever stuck in some pop-up and I have to clear my entire browser history to escape. If I use the Google calendar feature to connect this application to my own calendar, I am unable to adjust the meeting times. They remain as scheduled at the bottom of each day’s block, basically “stuck” there and very frustrating.
