## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.7/5

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.7/5
- Customer support: 4.6/5
- Value for money: 4.5/5
- Functionality: 4.6/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 286 reviews (73%)
- 4 stars: 98 reviews (25%)
- 3 stars: 4 reviews (1%)
- 2 stars: 1 reviews (0%)
- 1 star: 1 reviews (0%)

### Most mentioned pros

- The ability to toggle between a hierarchical outline view and a Kanban board within the same project is genuinely rare and maps perfectly to how academic and professional work alternates between structured planning and iterative execution.
- Being able to communicate directly within the platform, attach files, links, and images, and keep all conversations tied to the relevant tasks makes coordination much easier and reduces the need for external tools.
- The interface is simple and intuitive, so I can quickly plan my study tasks without spending time learning complicated features.

### Most mentioned cons

- The mobile app needs an internet connection for most actions, and it doesn’t offer deep reporting, so larger security teams may need extra tools.
- Exporting the timelines is quite annoying and the wavy arrows are not the clearest as they get tangled and quite confusing at times.
- The integrations are not the best, for example some calendar syncing apps do not copy over the item description or breadcrumbs so it can be hard to get context.

What I love most about Quire is how it handles complexity without feeling heavy. The infinite nested task hierarchy is a game-changer. I can break big, messy projects down into tiny, actionable steps without losing the big picture. Being able to instantly toggle between the structured tree view, a Kanban board, and the timeline keeps me flexible depending on how I need to work that day. ### Still the best out there

For full disclosure, I am writing this review because it gets me a plan with the timeline feature, which is the key use for me. I have looked for alternatives for about a year now and hate to admit that there really isn't anything better. No other programme has the same ease of use - fast input, easy rearranging, and the ability to be keyboard only. I use quire to plan experiments which have many moving parts and can be difficult to schedule properly. The infinite nesting of lists and timeline view make this so easy. The integrations are not the best, for example some calendar syncing apps do not copy over the item description or breadcrumbs so it can be hard to get context. I couldn't live without it though, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great manager for modular projects.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

There is no alternative with the same smooth user experience. The ability to use exclusively keyboard shortcuts for organising and arranging things is key for me and truly makes it a seamless experience.

#### Cons

The integrations are limited. The API is great, but maintaining my own calendar syncing can be tiresome.

#### Reasons for switching to Quire

So much friction just maintaining large projects. They were not flexible to restructuring of projects, not adaptable.
