I've been able to create a multi-page pamphlet/brochure for my business with this software. It's just great overall and very easy to use.

I appreciate that Apache has made such a contribution, a simple, easy to use and fully compatible software for free.

Its a large community that uses and supports OpenOffice. I have found solutions for everything I've needed.

I like that this software is free and give the user the ability to create spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and Word documents and save them in native Windows formats.

I was unable to use this software in the production of my online courses. It does not allow voice-over PowerPoint that I use all the time.

I dislike the border that frames the page while composing Word documents in OpenOffice.

Customer service is a bit lacking but at the worst case Open Office can easily be reloaded. On occasion when sharing with other spreadsheets becomes a bit difficult.

The only think I dislike is the same thing I dislike about all text editors, they're clunky when doing anything other than typing.

It's free but has great community support. I hope they keep doing what they're doing there.

Good if you are thin on budget and want some basic functionality.

If you need to use open source in your organization, then of course this is an excellent solution. This is the only undeniable advantage of this office suite.

What I liked most about this product is cost and ease of use as well as portability with Microsoft office.

It's easy to use and has a lot of features. Overall, I'd say it's probably the best alternative to Microsoft products/suite.

Apache is robust and feature rich. As a user I also enjoyed the open software element of it, knowing that I was part a community of users.

The thing I like best about OpenOffice is that if integrated flawlessly with the more expensive, mainstream software packages.

When I was a student and began my career I was using OpenOffice exclusively. If offers excellent capabilities right out of the box and is available even on Linux (my preferred operating system).

This is the best free office software out there. I use this as an alternative to microsoft office 360.

Apache Open office is a free and powerful alternative to all popular office suites. It offers all basic and advance possibilities which other office suites are offering.

It’s great when working with others as it’s free and anyone can use it without having to buy something just to collaborate with you.

I use it to create the newsletter for a local non-profit organization. Easy integration of graphics, graphs, and even embedded video.

This is by far the best free office software. Being open source, it is built by passionate individuals who all want the same thing.

Numbers replaced with non-numeric characters in latest version 4.1.6. I am unable to figure out how to solve this problem.

It's free so accessible to anybody. It's Word software and spreadsheet software have many features which are good.

I love that it's a robust, free text editor. It does what most full featured word processing software does but for no cost.

I like the fact the office suite is free and is compatible with popular word processing software. The features are plentiful.

I'm an author, but like most upcoming artists, saving money is important to me. I felt I was able to do with this great software.

Excel is fun and allows the user to get creative. It's perfect for budgets and I love using it to tell a story to my managers regarding the current project.

I love the ability to sort my data however I need to see it. It helps me see the data I need quickly, and in turn, helps me make the decisions I need to make.

It can also be hard sometimes to figure out your mistake when something is not working right in the program.

Just one thing what I dislike is, that amount of dates is limited. After 60000 numbers pivot does not work.

I like the flexibility and ease of integration with other Microsoft Office products. I enjoy the ability to use both on a computer and on mobile devices.

Sometimes this software gets hang and crash due to which I have lost some information i captured so we can check that.

Customer support through Microsoft has been excellent. I have called them several times, and every time has been quick, easy, and helpful.

I love the most is when doing budgeting sheets you can select all and it will give you a grand total at the end.

The best experience was using multiple sheets capturing different information and pulling info for calculations from each sheet to display on a final page was super helpful in presenting to customers.

You can be doing a function properly and maybe get a bit frustrated, and the only problem is that the software needs to be reopened.

Excel's greatest value is its ability to be many things for many people. I would say 90% of the people I've seen use Excel only use about 10% of its capabilities, and it's great for that.

Microsoft excel is an amazing app that helps me to save the hassle of manually doing accounting. It helps me create tables and charts with ease.

But, this is a very minor complaint and has never affected my productivity. I can not think of anything else that I dislike about this software.

It has been a good experience so far and I think it will continue to be useful as we integrate more of our data in to excel.

The integrated function an formulas are awesome. And the pivot table is so so great.

Whenever I encounter errors, Excel doesn't pinpoint the exact error sometimes making it hard to figure out the error in your formula.

I like the ease of use and I like that most people use it so that it can be shared with others easily. It also helps a lot with organization.

It does become a bit frustrating when updates come over and change the way you do a process. I hate to relearn something I have been doing over and over.

Sometimes when I've made a mistake in a formula that I've created, I have a hard time figuring out where the mistake is.
