Excel is still the most reliable spreadsheet and vital business tool for every organization
Excel is a great tool for users who work on large amounts of data and can handle complex calculations with 100% accuracy. It allows you to create pivot tables, sort, retrieve and analyze data, perform macros in VBA, build charts, tables, and many more features in a breeze! As an Accountant by profession, Excel has always been my best buddy throughout my career progression up until now and it never ceases to amaze me about the powerful features that I’ve yet to discover and utilize for more productivity and efficiency in my work. My top favorite Excel features are the following: - Scalable formula and calculation functions (IF, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, etc.): Excel allows you to extend the formula up, down, across the spreadsheet. You just need to create the formula once in one cell and Excel will help you to populate the formula in the designated rows/columns in your report. - Excel shortcut keys: it dramatically increases my productivity by using these tricks. It makes you look like a Pro and believe me, anyone will get intimidated when they see you typing so fast without using any mouse! - Conditional formatting: it makes your data more sophisticated and visually appealing to the users of the information. - Pivot tables: works like a magic when reviewing hundreds of thousands or even millions of data in one spreadsheet. - Paste special: copy+paste from one source to your spreadsheet with options of maintaining the formatting, value, comments, or even formula.
PROS- Able to organize voluminous data into orderly, logical spreadsheets and charts - Allows simple to complex formula and calculations quickly regardless of the amount of data - Microsoft Office and Google sheet integration
CONS- Learning curve; it takes a lot of practice and training in order to advance your Excel skills. - Calculation errors; Excel will never know whether the data you inputted is correct or not. - Expensive cost of entry; Google sheets is free
Reason for choosing Microsoft Excel
Loyalty, better computational power, and more reliable

My review on Microsoft Excel
The principal project that I truly scholarly a great deal about Excel in was building an accounting page to track and plan my course enrollments with as a rookie in school. I needed to figure my aggregate GPA and GPA by term, and I needed to design the entirety of the courses I would take every semester from my first semester in school to my final remaining one. By that point I realized how to utilize rotate tables and some other information decrease recipes, yet I didn't actually have a clue how to utilize query works yet. I assembled a large portion of that bookkeeping page around a capacity to naturally ascertain letter grades dependent on rates, and afterward essential SUM capacities for the GPA computations. The subsequent case was for designing and cleaning a humungous fix of information in my last semester of school. 32 cycle Excel wasn't made for the errand I was utilizing it for around there, however it worked effectively with some content cleanup that I would not like to figure out how to do utilizing standard articulations somewhere else. This experience was and stays educational for me. I learned more a long time of doing those undertakings than my companions who took classes to learn Excel.
PROSColossal degree as Excel has mathematical and literary capacities; you can add hyperlinks and pictures thus significantly more. Numerous sheets can assist it with acting practically like a social information base when joined with separating and arranging capacities. Mistake catching should be possible utilizing.
CONSThe one fundamental hindrance of the extent of MS Excel is that an excessive number of individuals are self trained and the manner in which they have made the accounting page is undocumented so over the long run individuals attempt to alter and present mistakes. Naming cells makes formulae more significant and simpler to fathom. I once attempted to figure out an accounting page individuals had been utilizing for a very long time and found there was an entire section of qualities incorrectly being remembered for an equation. Somebody had been advised to erase a section however they had quite recently concealed it from see so every one of the qualities were all the while being included messing genuine up. Knowing the contrast between concealing qualities and erasing them is quite major.

Great full fledge data tool
Great tool which I am already using for 16 years.
PROSI use Excel daily for all kinds of tasks, like analysis, data manipulation, charting/data visualization. The power of formulas for me is key. I have to do quite some data manipulation and calculations to get at certains conlcusions. Pivot tables is another often used tool, great dynamic analytical tool.
CONSSometimes my formulas don't work, hard to understand why that is. Now with AI, it would be great if users get hints/support from AI (like chatgpt) to fix certain formulas or even more high level, get a full task done (kind of macro, but then done for you)

All you need for reporting
Excel is a life-saver. I use it for reports, catalogs, creating graphs, and charts. Basically, I use it all the time! I love the 2019 version and updates since it's smoother and it also looks prettier than the older one. Just a small issue with CSV export but that's it.
PROSI liked Excel for the longest time since there are a lot of useful tools available for use but I loved it better with the smooth transition after the updates. I'm using the 2019 version and the transitioning became smoother. Working online is also available and I am no longer afraid to lose any document I worked on. The ability to import the excel document to other formats especially PDF is a life-saver!
CONSThere's nothing much I hate about Excel since it helps me with all the reports I do. I'm just a little bothered with the CSV import after some updates were done. I noticed in the 2019 version, whenever you import a Data from text/CSV, it automatically goes to a new tab and the design has Header Rows, Banded Rows, and Filter Button. For me, it's more time consuming to remove those every time I import a CSV.

The perfect Accounting Solution
I have personally used Excel for over 15 years now, and each version adds new capabilities. The only software that just keeps on giving! The calculations are always correct, there is never any faults with the software, and although we have a separate software nowadays that is cloud-based for our shops, we still like to use Excel daily. Its a perfect solution for any startup to medium sized business, and a MUST for any accountant. Definitely highly recommended by myself.
PROSEVERYTHING is easy with Excel. You have the options to colour co-ordinate cells, selections, and entire spreadsheets. You can name each sheet for easier clarification. Calculations can be done automatic which is a huge time saver with very large amounts of data. Currency symbols can automatically be added to certain columns, rows, selections. You have the option to use number formatting (to include 1 or 2 numbers after a decimal point for example). You have full control over text formatting (Bold, Italic, colours, fonts, underlines, strike-through etc just like you would from any other Microsoft products such as 'Microsoft Word'. You can add fully custom conditions to cells, selections, rows columns, sheets (If 'X' > 0 then change the cells background colour to red - which highlights negative numbers). And to really put the cherry on the cake... you can go deeper using Visual Basic to create macros for automating many tasks. Seen as Visual Basic is a programming language, you could even stretch to create a login for your spreadsheet (if you know what you are doing). There really is 0 limitations to using Excel.
CONSThere is no options to have a cloud based Excel spreadsheet. If there were, I am pretty sure most businesses would ditch their current software and stick with Excel. Our business has multiple physical shops, so being able to share to document amongst all shops for them to collaborate would be ideal. But unfortunately Excel doesn't have this. Such a shame.
Reason for choosing Microsoft Excel
We did a trial period of Google Sheets, and although the documents could be shared over Googles Cloud which was ideal for us, Google Sheets didn't seem to have as many features in the software. So we decided to stay with Excel as its never let us down in the many years of usage.

Analysis begins
Best, better and growing at an wonderful levdl day by day. I recommend it to all analysts.
PROSCalculations and formula interpretation is the major of excel. I worked a lot on data analysis and I used the formula feature frequently. I also like the tutorials and help section in excel. The most feature I like is the Pivot table because it is just an wide level of analysis in a single sheet. Just by putting rows and columns in appropriate way, I can generate a lot of things like revenue, profits, productivity, production data and much more. The Microsoft internal software networking within word, put and excel is too good. The dashboard creation of excel works for me and also speaks for me because it is doing a work of 10 people. I love it.
CONSMy cons are also on formula. I like to have a separate formula section in excel where we are able to see formula which we can used or which are applicable. This update can solve a lot of things automatically without using YouTube.
Reason for choosing Microsoft Excel
Because it is world wide acceptable and can be easily modified into a required format. For me, my whole production datas comes in a excel format thus excel is now in my blood .

Excel just makes life better
Having multiple reports to create and a large amount of data to sort out I would not want to have to do this without excel, that's for sure. Pivot tables for instance, dramatically cut downtime spent trying to figure out what it is I need at that time. It's done almost instantly, it really is great.
PROSWhen I started using excel several years ago I had never seen it or anything like it before. Now I could not imagine life without it. I use it in my spare time just for fun. The features are incredible. I learn something new everyday and it's exciting, especially for someone in my profession where many tasks are time sensitive. Everything about it makes your life easier. My excitement has even rubbed off on to my co-worker who is learning new things everyday and before that never gave it a second thought. If I could have a computer for just one reason it would absolutely be for Excel!
CONSTough question. Maybe if I had to say something, it would be the error messages. But then again you can always turn them off!
Reason for choosing Microsoft Excel
Google sheets is great as well but it just does not compare to excel, not even close in my opinion. But if need be, it is a decent alternative.

The best spreadsheet application in existence
Excel offers spreadsheet fans of any level a tremendous lot of enjoyment, but it has given us more than we can chew at this point in time. You are need to go through extensive training in order to use all of its capabilities. Excel is similar to my handback. I take it with me wherever I go. Nowadays, the solution to any question may be found in a spreadsheet. I've progressed from simple addition and subtraction formulae to developing Macros, executing queries with Power Query, Pivot tables, and much more in Excel. Excel is an essential tool in my job as an accountant and data analyst. Despite having used this for many years, there is still so much to learn, and I am always discovering new recipes on YouTube and forums. What you can accomplish with Excel is limitless.
PROSPower query, Power Pivot, Pivot tables, and pivot charts have been my favorite tools in excel. Macros and the all new LAMBA functions are spicing up my everyday experience with excel. There are a lot of things to love about excel if you take some time to learn it. Array formulas have been scary in excel, but In excel 2021, they implemented spilled arrays which has made the fun more enjoyable. I just love excel.
CONSThere is limitation on the amount of data a spreadsheet can hold. Excel is limited to about a million rows. If you are not familiar with cube formulas or pivot tables, it will be difficult to go above this limitation.
Reason for choosing Microsoft Excel
Excel is fully available offline, every office, every computer, everyone uses excel, excel is everywhere. Resources to learn excel are easily and readily accessible at little to no cost.

Excel does the job just perfect!
Handling the day today tasks has become very much easy for me. Why wouldn't it be? With Microsoft Excel hours of my day can be saved and yet the tasks could be done with utmost efficiency and asolutely accurate.
PROSThe industry standard spreadsheet Excel has made my life much easier. I use Excel at least 3 times a day. From organising my daily schedule, budgets, calorie charts to fulfill my academic errands of simple and complex arithmetic functions. Excel has proved to be user friendly and is being constantly updated. The versatile functionalities of Excel has simplified even the complex tricky day today tasks. I find it very convenient that the information can be represented graphically, especially when being shared. The filter system in which information can be filtered using numerals, keywords comes very much handy during quick reference. The suggestions with keywords has simplified the use of Excel further and I found myself using it more often - not to mention the accuracy. Excel can be installed in to your PCs, mac and even your android phones. My life has become much easier with Microsoft Excel and I love it!
CONSAs much as Excel simplifies complex tasks, understanding certain complex functionalites of Excel is a great challenge. I've messed up big time when it comes to dragging formulas over to a set of data or when copy pasting. Further printing a spread sheet is very difficult, considering that the cell alignments and margins has to be repeatedly adjusted. Sharing large Excel files is a challenge, which seems to be a drawback . Excel should be modified as to being able to reset the password of protected files ; the lack of which is extremely inconvenient.

A business must have!
I have used Excel for business, home and small home business. I started using Excel many years ago with no computer experience and taught myself mostly. I started using it to keep track of data and parts usage in automotive productions. I started simply and grew from there. Next I started using it to create and track part testing schedules. I was easily able to create the test parameters, details of these tests, add schematic and print information, dates, machine information, production lines, schedules, reports and file all completed tests and results as well as share these with engineers and customers. The ability to attach photos to these reports is a huge bonus. My next feature I learned with Pivot Tables and this opened a whole new arena of possibilities. I gathered all production line data and entered it into line items such as Production line, products coming off this line, counts, scrap, maintenance issues, costs, personnel and down time. This was them accessible in a pivot table I could manipulate to see where the cost where coming from, downtime issue and ways to cut costs and streamline production and maintenance. By simply clicking on which data I wanted to see, in an instant the data changed. From here I could transfer this data into charts for management to use at a glance.
PROSEasily store any and all data, information, photos, contacts... the use is endless. I believe I had only scratched the surface in Excel. The more I used it and explored its capabilities the more excited I got about how I could use it. It uses as it applies to large and small businesses is never ending. You can use it for home business and personal storage of information as well. My Grand kids even started to use it at age 5, obviously not for business but they taught themselves how to use it, PowerPoint and Word.
CONSI think the only issue I ever had was with updates. For personal use it is pricey when you need to update to the newest version, I suppose in the scheme of things and for its many uses its not that expensive though. Again for personal use when working or sharing with others the various versions can create some issues but they have gotten better about making sure each updated version can transfer data from the older versions Its only an problem when the person using the older version needs data thats on the newer version. As far as learning in Excel, there are so many books, tutorials and videos you can usually find what you need but there is also so many features in Excel I was only frustrated by wanting to know it all now rather than later.

Excel is still relevant
I've used Excel to create countless spreadsheets during the span of my career. It's feature-rich and there is always some new tip or trick to discover. With the inclusion of Visual Basic for Applications under the hood, I've been able to use Excel for automation long before the current wave of business intelligence applications started to hit the market. In addition to it's obvious functionality as a spreadsheet program, the later versions of it feature pretty robust drawing tools which allow for business graphics creations in situations where you don't always have access to dedicated vector drawing software. In addition to my work at the office, I also make extensive use of Excel at home for keeping track of my family's personal finances.
PROSAs a financial analyst with 15 years experience, I've been using Microsoft Excel for quite some time. With all the new business intelligence software out there, some may be of the opinion that Excel is becoming obsolete. I would argue that is still has it's place in a today's analyst's toolbox. In our office we have utilized some of the fancier tools like Alteryx or Tableau to wrangle/present data but Excel still remains a major part of our regular processes. Excel offers tremendous flexibility in summarizing, analyzing and presenting data for whatever the deliverable calls for. It also acts as an excellent scratch pad for ad-hoc analysis via filters or pivot tables. What I like most about Excel is the fact that you can directly manipulate your data in an intuitive manner without the need for knowledge of programming or scripting languages. Bottom line, if you are an analyst, spreadsheets will always be part of your world and Excel is the industry standard.
CONSIt's honestly difficult to think of anything that I don't like about Excel as it has served me well for more than a decade and a half in my professional life. I suppose like any other software it can at times be slow to respond when your files get to large. Probably the thing I like least about it is the tendency to get corrupted when too many formatting options are used in a single workbook and/or the tendency to not always allow you to make a clean break when you want to remove a link to another file that another user has created. Other than that, it's pretty solid.

Best software which makes my life easier
I've been using Excel from my collage up to now, it means more than 10 years. Still I couldn't find any better substitute which can replace Excel. Now I use Excel at both my work and also for my personal stuff. All the formulas, pivots, connections are really helpful for the business use. Same time I use Excel for my personal purposes such as an expense tracker and a budget planner. If you can become an expert on Excel its gonna really help you to build your confidence at work and also to do your work faster than the others. All Time Best Spreadsheet Software.
PROSWell, I would just say Everything, but to more specific, I really love to work in the Excel by using short keys, it helps you to speed your work. Then it would be the formulas and the most useful would be vlookup/hlookup. Those are the things which makes my life easier on a daily basis. I usually don't even open the calculator no matter how simple the calculation is, it will always be Excel. Also I really love the Pivots and tables which are really cool, accurate and nice. Also everything can be customized in the exact way we wanted. Same time its very secure, you can protect the worksheet or the book. Having all these great features I use Excel even for any documentation needs instead of Word.
CONSAm just a normal user who used Excel at work and also for my personal analysis/documentation purposes. But I'm not an Excel pro who knows Macro and all that. Hence this software satisfies all my needs, so I cant think of any cons at the moment provided that I don't even get the maximum out of this amazing software. The only issue I have here in Excel is there is no inbuilt auto correction or a grammar, spell checker. I know we can always use F7 for that but it would be great if it is possible to underline the missed spell words by the the time we are typing them.

Still the best option we have
Overall, the cons that it provide do not outmatch the great benefits Excel can give. I don't see any other software going beyond what Excel can do, especially since it has established itself for decades now. I disagree with the fact that most Microsoft software are subscription based now, but I guess it just goes with the trend and the times. I'll be using Excel daily from today until the foreseeable future.
PROSExcel has become a daily part of my life to help manage all the things that need to be accomplished both for short term and long term. As an online freelancer, I need a lot of excel sheets to track my work schedule, tasks, accounting, investments, upcoming events, just to name a few. The design is easy and intuitive. It hasn't changed a lot since its earlier versions, but I guess it comes down to the old adage: "Don't Fix What Isn't Broken". Most of its features are those available with other Microsoft applications such as Word and POwerpoint, making the ease into the software much easier.
CONSExcel is an easy tool to learn but it is hard to master. While it can be used as a simple log, learning more about it can actually yield to more time saved as Excel can be programmed to do computations for you. That said, there are so many ways to use Excel that it can at times overload me with information, to the point that event the simplest of tasks become a little more complicated due to symbols and shortcuts, not being as clear as they should be. Excel also suffers from a similar problem that other Microsoft applications have in that they Auto Format to the point that it becomes irritating. You could waste some of your time trying to correct figures in your Excel sheet if it suddenly starts to believe that your info is a date and acts on its own will.

Powerful tool in capable hands
I use Excel daily for my job. Over the last year as I have learned things like vlookup, pivot tables, and how to set up various formulas, it has gone from a spreadsheet program to a powerful tool.
PROSFor basic tasks this product is intuitive and very easy to use. Easy to learn formulas and simple mathematical equations can turn this basic product into a very powerful tool. You can quickly and easily find the sum or difference between two values. You can find duplicates values in a column or row. You can color code cells, columns, or rows. Excel includes most of the basic text formatting features that Word contains as well. Learning vlookup has changed my life. Learning Pivot Tables has also been a great help.
CONSThere can be a learning curve for some of the more advanced features, such as Pivot Tables or VLookup; having someone around who can help you get started can be very helpful. You have to consider the cost when compared to similar, free products such as Google Sheets. Google Sheets does is not quite as robust but it is free and contains most of the basic functionality as Excel.

Still the Best for Spreadsheets
Excel helps us with data gathering, performance tracking and even team projects. It allows our teams to just work on getting tasks done while Excel keeps track of progress using carefully set up formulas. The locking features within the software also mean that you can control how the sheets are used so nothing "breaks".
PROSExcel is our go-to app for everything from simple databases to more complex reporting and dashboards. The upgrades with Office 365 means we now have the use of even more powerful collaboration and sharing tools while using Excel. For example, we commonly use Excel for very quick data collection across multiple units by simply setting up a sheet and sharing it. This allows multiple users to input data with little to no syncing issues and live updates (see where everyone is and which cell they are editing). For repetitive data cleanups, Excel's macros work very well and are fully supported even in Mac OS environments. As an Excel power user, the ability to create you own "ribbon" and stock it so all buttons you use most are together is pure gold!
CONSTwo of my Excel pet peeves are processing speed and "hidden" data. Now Excel has 1.04 million rows and thousand of columns. The program is pretty quick once you're working with a few hundred rows of data but once you get into the thousands things start to slow down. The second issue to the inclusion of data that increases the file size. This can happen when you are copying and pasting data between files and can be difficult to troubleshoot. For example, I've seen files with less than 100 rows and 3 columns of data with a file size of 5MB. Most to the time you will end up copying the data in something "clean" like a text file and then putting it back into Excel.

MS Excel Review
I've been using Microsoft Excel for fifteen consecutive years and still use it on a daily basis to complete my job. Excel is a useful and powerful program that can help you generate interesting and profitable results once you learn how to use its features and functions. My advice to beginners is that if you really want to learn Excel, you should use it regularly and do your own study to better understand its features. Excel isn't a database application, and it can't store vast amounts of data; that's what Microsoft Access and other database programs are for. Excel has played a major role in helping me reach my goals in my career. Excel is a fantastic tool for completing work in a shorter period of time and is very user friendly, so I highly recommend it to any Windows or Linux user. Excel's graphical features can be helpful in the creation of reports, but it is not a reporting tool. Excel, on the other hand, is excellent for calculations, querying data from external sources, preparing, and presenting data in a way that audiences can relate to and understand.
PROSIt's easy to use. You don't have to be a tech whiz to find it out, from simple to advanced functions. If you ever have a question, use the support feature to find an answer. Simply google it if you want to do something complicated and don't want to read help article after help article. Everyone uses Excel, or at least does, and someone has already completed the mission you are attempting. The design is easy. When I'm trying to complete a mission, I don't need fancy graphics or displays... I just want to finish my work. Excel is one of my favorite programs. The message is direct and to the point. You are capable of much more than you can imagine.
CONSExcel's biggest drawback is that it takes more time and energy for preparation in order for the analyst to completely benefit from it. Human error such as omitted negative signs and incorrect row structure may not be detrimental in and of themselves, but when they erode investor confidence or result in a loss of investment opportunity, they are. The other disadvantage of Excel is that it has a lot of functions that an analyst would have to master.

The tool that makes management EASIER
Regarding this advanced management tool, I admit that it allows to manage the IT flows of the different transactions within an organization, it was able to revolutionize initially the industrial world as well as develop the Supply Chain Management of different companies. Personally, I was able to carry out initially several management tables whether for the stock, for the vehicle fleets (maintenance, fuel ... etc). And then I started to realize optimization models based on Operational Research. And finally, I ended up using the developer section (Visual Basic) in order to be able to automate the various tables produced, keep the flow traceable as well as avoid the typing errors that can happen.
PROSIn my opinion, there are 3 main advantages for excel users: 1)Progressed Data Organization : Dominate has quite possibly the absolute most complete datum association and investigation frameworks for the normal customer. All things considered, it works for most business applications as well. Utilizing the force of your PC, Excel can undoubtedly deal with a great many information recipes and additionally calculations rather consistently. In the event that you have numerous sheets which are interlinked, the equations and information association are unmatched. 2)Underlying Formulas : Before, Excel had recipes for pretty much every application under the sun. In that capacity, clients quickly fell head over heels for the straightforwardness of the attachment and-play interface as it assisted them with making delightful accounting pages in the blink of an eye. Throughout the long term, Excel has reliably added more implicit recipes as clients have mentioned. Obviously, these recipes are not restrictive, as they are only numerical of configuration, which means these equations could be utilized in other programming stages as well. 3)Outsider Support Lastly, Excel can work with outsider projects through particular connectors. Since Excel is based on the .NET stage, it coordinates well with nearly whatever is based on a similar stage. Accordingly, admittance to information or potentially other programming stages has expanded massively throughout the lon
CONSDespite these advantages, there are 3 major desadvantages 1)Steep Expectation to learn and adapt : Excel is a genuinely muddled framework. To utilize it productively, you must have the option to explore through the UI which is considerably more convoluted than in its unique plan. In past plans, clients had the option to simply point and click and assembled lovely bookkeeping pages. In any case, Microsoft has added a plenty of provisions throughout the long term that now I must be gotten to through different scenes or potentially dropdowns. Doing this has made a smidgen of disarray and even eliminate a few components that individuals were content with. 2)Cost : Microsoft Office and Dominate had never been free, however the cost was significantly more sensible before. As Microsoft has kept on investing huge loads of time and energy into their Office suite, the expenses have risen significantly. Before, you could buy the product for as modest as $19.95 each year; that essentially isn't the case any longer. Presently, the expense can undoubtedly overshadow $45.99 each year for a downloadable duplicate and $99.99 for a cloud-based contribution. While this isn't heinous, it is cost-restrictive for an office brimming with PCs. Restricted Joint effort: Completing out the impediments for Dominate, it's anything but a community oriented framework (essentially not innately). Microsoft w
