Enterprise Task Management
Jira is a strong, industry-standard project management and task tracking service that is flexible enough to allow different types of teams (software, legal, IT, etc.) to work on the same platform.
PROSJira has a strong SaaS-based offering that makes the administration and operation of the product simple and easy. The software has multiple options for viewing tasks (from project-task style to Kanban style) which allows different teams to be flexible and use different formats.
CONSThe difficulty of running the hosted version of the software with custom plugins is almost unacceptable for enterprise-grade software. The concept that enterprise project-management software requires dedicated IT assets to service and maintenance increases the overhead of the software to unacceptable levels. If a deployment requires a host, non-SaaS version of the software with custom plugins, reconsider.
Reason for choosing Jira
While monday.com and Asana are strong contenders, the ecosystem around Jira and strong integrations platform make the Atlassian ecosystem more compelling.
Reasons for switching to Jira
Trello was currently in use and another Atlassian product. The overhead of Trello and the lack of integration with different partner services made it a much less compelling purchase to continue to make.

Jira
I can't say it has been good or bad but apart from its high cost and some complex features, it can handle all kind of issues. It's also good in bug tracking and project management
PROSThe good thing with jira is its agility and scrum management. Jira provides solutions that enables team to build framework in whichever project method they wish to use. Agile tools like roadmap and report integration helps team to track projects in various ways
CONSIt's a bit challenging to new users because of its numerous advanced features and its cost is very high compared to other softwares
Reasons for switching to Jira
It is more user friendly than jira and manages a wide range of projects

Jira is need of companies
Jira is superb. Its not a tool, its need of companies as they can not mange the things without it.
PROSWell Jira is always about tickets and assignment to people for me. Its easy for me to break down tasks and then assign to people and get it done on time bases. Also to see the situation of projects
CONSIts a little complex UI but I will say Jira have a lot of features in it so being heavy or complicated is natural.
Reasons for switching to Jira
Trello is easy but it can mot handle big projects

The Unified and Simplest Application
Overall experience is really impressive, that we can use this one and only application to track the development, deployment, testing every details.
PROSThe most I like in Jira is the application tracking, bug tracking and project management. These all features are really impressive and usefull in real life to develop and track an application.
CONSThe Jira application has too many identities, so it not that much easy to understand. We need a proper on call training to understand the application.

Switched to Trello
Not really good. It's too complicated for simple tasks. Not sure how this would fair for complex tasks and really large teams.
PROSVery feature-rich. One can find almost every feature, subtasks, how much of a task is completed, multiple people assigned to a task, etc.
CONSVery complicated. My Technical Product Manager and my team members used to struggle with this software. So much information is flooded to the user that it becomes very very confusing.
Reasons for switching to Jira
JIRA is too complicated for small teams (<15 people).

A day in the life using Jira
I've found that Jira has significantly simplified our project management and collaboration. Its robust task management, seamless integrations, and real-time reporting have improved our efficiency and decision-making. I wholeheartedly recommend Jira to fellow professionals looking to enhance their project workflows.
PROSWhat stands out to me about using Jira is how it adapts to our specific project demands. It's like having a versatile toolbox that can be customized to fit any project's unique needs. With Jira, we can collaborate seamlessly, stay on top of tasks, and ensure our projects run smoothly.
CONSIt can take some time to grasp the potential of the platform and its customization options. It's a bit complicated at first.

The essential software for your project and communication management.
Jira offers customizable workflows that adapt to your specific processes and requirements. It supports frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, allowing you to plan and execute projects using iterative methods.
PROSThe feature I like about Jira is the issue tracking system. You can create and track tasks, bugs, and issues. Each issue can be assigned to a team member, allowing teams to have a centralized view of all project tasks and easily monitor the progress and evolution of the project. It's a great management tool.
CONSWhat I like the least is perhaps the cost, which can be a bit high, especially for small teams or businesses with a limited budget.

It remains a very good project management software for developers. Very useful for fixing bugs and keeping the history of modifications. The cost is very accessible for small budgets but its interface is difficult to use
PROSThe biggest advantage to consider for this software is the price. It is much cheaper compared to its competitors.
CONSIt must be recognized that its overly technical interface is not very easy to understand.

Probably the best project management software but…
Jira is about the most complete project management solution you can get. I liked that regardless of the project type (from software development, to product management, to marketing plan) you can tailor and build tasks, kanban boards, documentation and use workflows in various styles to provide team collaboration.
CONSThe sheer amount of features and functions make the administration and configuration very daunting even for experienced IT managers.

All in one
I have some larger projects for which Jira is a perfect fit. Once you are set up everything works smoothly. I would recommend this tool for any long-term product development but only if you are willing to put effort into it. It is not a one-click set-and-forget solution but can work wonders for larger projects in the long run. For an average team, I would consider 2 months the break-even point for time spent and time saved.
PROSIf you are looking for a management system that is good enough to cover all your needs then Jira and the Atlassian portfolio is exactly what you are looking for. Every aspect of your workflow is infinitely customizable and perfectly integrated with their entire suite of software development tools. Once your setup is complete everything is easy and automatic for your team. The potential for boosted productivity is huge.
CONSAll the updates can be overwhelming. Great updates can provide users with additional features without affecting present ones but some updates are breaking and requiring you to find the relocated setting in order to configure what you want. That is adding to the already high cost of setting up a new project. If you have someone dedicated to administration then the rest of the team will have a great experience. This is a very powerful tool and that means it will take time to learn and properly manage it.
Reason for choosing Jira
I was already invested in other Atlassian projects like Trello and Bitbucket. Better integration with Bitbucket was the deciding factor. The overall more developer-focused image and development tools available also contributed to the decision.
Reasons for switching to Jira
We simply outgrew Trello. If you require an easy and quick-to-set-up solution that will get you started within the hour then Trello is for you. Jira is the natural next step with easy migration and a similar workflow. It takes more time to set up so the question is whether you need the additional features. The only thing I am missing from Trello so far is the smooth keyboard shortcuts.

Makes most sense for software projects and products.
JIRA is our source of truth for what is inside, coming out and ready to go next in, in our engineering pipeline is. There isn't a better tool out there even for miles and once you are cosy with JIRA, you can't really make do with another tool.
PROS1) Releases/Versions: Releases allow us to work in parallel on multiple efforts with the same team. 2) Parallel Sprints: Same as releases, we are a lean team and we have to work on Product features and polish/bug fixes simultaneously. 3) Custom Filters: I like these the most!
CONSThey have taken out small pieces of functionality and made them separate products. These products are now paid and for those small pieces of functionality, you have to make extra purchases. e.g. Pages
Reason for choosing Jira
JIRA is complete suite for base requirements for development. If you are using Bitbucket for holding your repos then it makes the most sense as well. Atlassian has done a great job with a niche market of software in mind and even though it may seem like an overkill to use it for projects outside the engineering, it is still the best choice for engineering.

Jira, a complete platform that increases productivity and successful execution of projects.
With JIRA, we can easily assign the priority to each task, to have an objective way that allows us to determine in which tasks we should allocate the greatest effort of our workers and which ones can be rescheduled.Another important aspect is precisely the recording of the progress of the activities, since in JIRA we can do it simply by belonging to the team members who have this role, and in this way, not only the project manager is responsible for doing it , but now it is treated as a collaborative and incremental work, lightening the workloads, execution, and the rest of the activities.
PROSJIRA is a project management platform that definitely increases visibility and promotes collaboration, with multidisciplinary and even multicultural work teams. Jira organizes the planning and execution of almost any type of project extremely quickly, from large or large, where multiple tasks are supervised, and with a high degree of complexity, to flexible implementations that require simple and collaborative work.In this way, with JIRA we manage the entire execution cycle and even subsequent phases associated with evolutionary maintenance, roadmap, and support.
CONSJira is really intuitive, and its functionalities allow the successful execution of large or small projects, however, for the result to be impeccable, we must prepare all the team members and train them properly, and in this way we can expect a process without complications, on the other hand, the licensing may not be as flexible as other usable tools currently on the market but it remains in the average range.
Reasons for switching to Jira
JIRA is more oriented to current needs and is quite flexible.

Jira is a fantastic tool for managing projects
If you need to keep tabs on reports about problems with a project or software, Jira is the way to go. Users on a team can quickly and easily share data with one another. Jira is very adaptable, allowing for seamless integration with a wide variety of different platforms. The best thing is that we have connected it with Slack, making communication much easier and saving a ton of time for everyone involved.
PROSProject, issue, bug, task, and workflow management are all handled by Jira software. All phases of a project's development life cycle, from planning to coding to testing, may be managed from within the system.
CONSProblems with the software cause the window to take a long time to load, and real-time updates and app integration are also areas for improvement.
Reasons for switching to Jira
It may be set up quickly and with little effort. It's making the product easier to use and offering better tutorials and guides. The same is true for internal and external collaboration. The ticketing system is fantastic, and it displays a number of useful fields (TAT, status, etc.).

The industry standard for managing the Software Development Lifecycle
I've used everything from Excel spreadsheets to MS Access to MS Project and I find that JIRA is the best bang for the buck when managing our SDLC.
PROSWe use JIRA online and it's dead simple to create and manage complex tasks. I love the ability to integrate with great packages like Confluence (which is SOOOO much better than Slack!).
CONSGetting new employees up to speed on using the software is more time consuming that it should be. I'd prefer a more intuitive UI.
Reason for choosing Jira
JIRA matches our software development process (which changed from Waterfall to Agile over time). I also like the flexibility hosted JIRA online gives us to add/administer users and tickets from anywhere.
