Avaza is a cloud-based project management tool that allows organizations to track time, collaborate with team members and clients, bill customers and manage tasks. The solution can be accessed on any device including laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones. Project managers can divide big projects into manageable tasks and then assign these tasks to various team members with instructions, responsibilities and deadlines.

Avaza sends automatic email reminders for tasks that are due, ensuring all projects are delivered in a timely manner. The time tracking feature allows users to enter the hours spent on a project and send invoices to clients. Timesheets are also sent to managers for approval which gives them the ability to collect insights about teams' activities. The solution offers built-in invoice templates that can be customized to meet brand requirements.

Avaza offers additional project management features such as drag and drop, document sharing, sub-task creation, tagging, filtering, invoicing, reporting and receipts digitization. Users can also add payment buttons to invoices for portals such as PayPal, Visa, American Express, MasterCard and JCB.

We tried many apps before Avaza and couldn't find one that had the functionality and ease of use that we wanted. Fortunately, we found Avaza and took to it very quickly. We were also very pleased with the integration with other apps we use making our overall processes more automated and seamless.

An area I didn't think we would use much was Reports, but we've found it to be very helpful at getting snapshots of each project and all projects as a whole.

Pros

We now have an easy to use central location for Project Management and Time Tracking with workflow. Much better than separate systems like we had before. The ability to scale based on our project team size and all the underlying workflow functionality is very good.

Overall great product. We beta tested about three to four software programs before settling on Avaza.

Pros

The ability to facilitate multiple business processes in one software is both efficient but cost effective, particularly for a startup. We track all of our projects, project time, and invoices inside of Avaza.

Cons

The proposal portion of the software is a bit limited. It functions well, but as a creative agency we need the ability to create custom proposals, so we use another software to facility this part of our business.

Avaza is easy to understand deploy and use. A few features are not fully developed (at least for my needs) but there are workarounds. Support is great and there is a roadmap which will deliver many of the features I need.

Pros

Great for an integrated approach to time and expense recording.
Central control and visibility.
Fantastic customer service
Very cost effective
Comprehensive range of reports

Cons

Expense management doesn't have reimbursement management
Not possible to turn off unused features for administrators
Not possible to save customised report templates.

I LOVE the customer service - they're responsive via chat or by phone and they've taken the time to bring my team members up to speed. Now what service takes the time to do that - awesome!
I also searched extensively and this is the only software I could find that can help me to project budgeting and project management. This is not easy to find, especially at an affordable price. Overall, I have to say that I've tried and purchased (regretfully) lots of software and Avaza has definitely been the only one that actually meets my needs!

Cons

The user interface isn't as "pretty" as some of the other softwares. It doesn't have robust social collaboration tools within the program.

Best value for the price.

Pros

The customer support team spent 1 hour per day for a week to assure me that I have all the necessary information I need before I paid for a subscription.

Cons

Lack of real-time chat feature. My team still needs Slack or other communication tools. However, the dev team has promised to discuss the possibility of adding this feature.

Our startup company PowerPoint Geek. We started using this software from day 1. In between we tried another software and our customers were not happy. The reason was they were not able to pay from other software. Our customer asked to send invoice from Avaza only. As they find it very easy to make payment online from the direct invoice web version link.

Pros

We found Avaza from google. First we tried a free trial and after that we subscribe for premium. We send customer estimates and invoices from Avaza. Also, whenever someone approves or disapprove estimates is done directly from the online web version of estimates. When we send customer a invoice, he can directly make paypal payment from the web version and it get updated directly to our dashboard. Now we have started using projects to assign task to our designer and that also work great. Live support are quick to reply.

PowerPoint Geek are permanent member of this software and we are quite comfortable in using this software.

Cons

No Cons. Really good online software. We have tried many other and found this to be the best. So no cons at all.

It's clean, organized, user friendly. Anything I have a question, they're right there to answer! It keeps all of our projects very organized. The project managers are loving how easy it is to use from their phones while they are out in the field.

Cons

Wish there were more options to customize. We don't use Avaza for time keeping or invoicing, so I don't really need that information on my dashboard. Also wish we could customize the notes section, add more characters, add some fields for information pertaining to each site, etc.

Pros

The format is simple and easy to use.
The locations of functions and setup make sense and it does not take long to get used to.

Cons

Cant seem to find a place to put comments with regards to the hours associated with the task. comments can be very useful to attribute to hours rather than having a large amount of specific activities.

Although I have only used Avaza for the past couple of months, I really like how easy the application is to use. In comparison to the last timesheet entry software I used, Avaza increases efficiency.

Cons

The only disadvantage I have experienced with Avaza is that it does not allow timesheet entries to be saved automatically.

I liked the clean structure of Avaza, and the budget features. It's a good option for a business who doesn't rely heavily on project management to drive their productivity. Their customer service was very helpful though when I was letting them know we were going in another direction and they genuinely seemed to want to know what was driving our decision.

Cons

We run a marketing/PR based business, and we were looking for a one-stop-shop project management and back office system. While we knew that was a long shot, we tried Avaza for several months and even gave them a second go when our current system wasn't doing everything we needed as well. I would have liked to see Avaza have different dashboard customization views so we could tailor the system to be more project centered instead of a financial view upon logging in. Since we use a different billing and accounting software, this data on our dashboard would remain blank and the dashboard wouldn't even be utilized. Also by the time we added all of our employees and contractors to have timesheet accessibility, we would have been paying a lot more in extra monthly fees than we were looking to spend. It just started really adding up for us when other software companies offer these options within their pricing tiers.

Pros

Avaza's greatest strength is its web interface which is simple and elegant, and easy to navigate. It has most of the features you could want from this kind of software, without being bogged down with too many options and a long setup or learning curve. It would be most suitable for a small organisation. Furthermore, it is continually developing and we will likely see more functionality and upgrades as time goes on.

Cons

It can be a little inflexible in what it allows you to do, or to get away with. For example when setting up projects or allocating time entries to them, there are too many boxes that must be filled in - in particular the time entry section could be more efficient and intuitive. But these are minor niggles.

Pros

Very full feature set - it has everything I need to run my small business. The UI is super user friendly and intuitive. Just a great, well polished app all around.

Cons

The timeline view is not available on the mobile app for ipad, and I love that view but I can always use the web page. Its a small thing really and doesn't bother me too much.

Quick to set up.
True Gantt charting AND resource loading - great that we can plan ahead visually.
Nice workflow from quoting to invoicing, without becoming intrusive or cumbersome.

Cons

Still some work to do, but we'll keep station:
Can't for example progress invoice and easily see what's billed/what's left to bill, and you can't add true supplier costs and sell on as margin (they have to be added as expenses which isn't the right method in PM).
Also, for the 65%+ of colour-blind males out there - once you reach your 8 hours, the schedule changes to 'Full'. So far so good. However, go over 8 hours and it changes from green to red - which is extremely difficult to interpret at a glance if you're red-green colourblind. Some UX refinement required here.
What makes this harder is that the number then changes to how many hours 'over' your 8 hour day you are rather than showing either a '-' against the number, or more appropriately just continuing to add up the hours you need to do on that day.
We're sure these are niggles that will be ironed out as the product develops.

I like most about avaza, specially that I can track my time and schedule my task. also Amazing staff and timesheets control
Invoicing, quotes, payments... All in one place
My clients have access to their projects and documentation all the time, no need to ask for anything
Response to features requests is super fast
Tons of great reports, and you can pre-configure them for your eficiency
reasonable price for what all I get out of it.

Cons

Does not update realtime, no themes, and boring ui.
Maybe a more robust accounting functionality, but hey, the financial to run the business is awesome.
It was a little confusing at first on my mobile until I found the tasks option in the menu. On the desktop it's super easy.

I really like the project timer. It makes it easy to track time without having to first select a client. When you stop the timer you are able to assign it to a client and task.

Cons

It would be nice if you could add tasks straight from the timer, but the inability to do so is not a dealbreaker.

We spent some time reviewing our options for a solution to help us manage multiple client projects. Did our due diligence and made sure all (almost all) our requirements were checked off. Avaza is a solid solution, with a vast array of features that we can now leverage to deliver our projects more effectively. We can assign external resources (including our clients) to project tasks, track schedule, budget - among maybe a thousand things we haven't even found yet.

The support team at Avaza is fantastic, very helpful and responsive. Customer reps are rockstars!

The number of integrations (either direct or through Zapier) is phenomenal. Especially the direct integration with Quickbooks.

If you're looking for a comprehensive delivery and project management solution you should definitely give Avaza a deep look.

Cons

With such a comprehensive solution, the initial setup took some time. Probably a bit more than we were expecting, but it was time well spent.

Great project tracking with tasks well organized, time tracking against tasks and very nice reporting as well as exporting data and importing.

Pros

I like that I can create project structure with sections, tasks and sub-tasks.
All tasks can be tracked against time and completion and shown in nice gantt chart.
