Pros/Cons
Pros
- I could see it being a useful tool for managing satellite volunteer groups. It was a good experience, and provided the means to have good conversation, generate some ideas, and post documents.
- Overall, enjoyed using the program during one of the implementations i was part of. All people in the project was happy with the overall use and ease of use.
- The cost and ease of use, it's very straightforward. Being able to track what everyone assigned to a certain task/project is doing, and ensuring deadlines/goals are being met are great.
Cons
- It is integrated with limited software which restricts to carry out multidimensional projects. It’s pricing is also very high, it restrict its use for small organizations.
- I just found it boring that you can only view one person's task list at a time, if you have a project with multiple members, it makes it difficult.
- I am a multi-disciplinary designer myself, and despite trying (very hard) several times to use Basecamp, I just can't get past how ugly, unintuitive, and clunky the UI is.
Pros
- I think the transcription and translation abilities on caption hub are great and it's a great software to have a subscription to.
- What I loved about this application is its ease of use and the help with work-related things through translation.
- CaptionHub is more affordable than other subtitling agencies and allows my company to use our own linguists which is very nice.
Cons
- The transcription has trouble with grammar, guessing where sentences start and end can be troublesome.
- Accuracy of auto transcribing can be enhanced. Inability to insert multiple videos in the timeline.
- I would delete the captions and the screen keeps a tiny black rectangle, so I had to manually deleted a majority of the captions. There was no way to delete them in bulk, it was very time consuming.
