Pros/Cons
Pros
- I am very happy with my experience. Clients receive an excellent tax return that is prepared well thanks to the software.
- I like the most that it is user friendly and easy to maneuver. The input flows through seamlessly to the tax return and provides an accurate return.
- The software is very simple to use initially, but has some fun tricks you can pick up on with repeated use. It's very well organized, and has a lot of strong built-in tools.
Cons
- Poor tech support and poor installation services.
- Spent 2 weeks trying to add a state. Worse than on hold with the IRS.
- This may cause the entire Microsoft Suite to lock up or freeze, which can create severe issues if the user is not diligent in saving their work.
Pros
- It produces a good return for filing and has a great added benefit of a MA estate tax option to create the MA estate tax return after the federal estate tax return is complete.
- I like the tree format where you can expand and close pieces so as to see everything. Statements attached to the return are in an easy to read and follow format.
- The best about this product is the simplicity of uniting different entities for our assessment form. This product empowers us to unite numerous entities into one detailing element precisely.
Cons
- What I like least about ONESOURCE is that there are some missing returns and the helpdesk situation is awful. We have had several tickets open for months with no movement.
- As a user, I was never trained on OneSource and it is hard to complete steps. The row structure is confusing for the time card.
- The buttons and rows do not make sense. It is hard to find my PTO balance other looking at my past paycheck sheets.
