Pros/Cons
Pros
- I have had an overall good experience with Confluence and it is easy to create and share documents. If you are using JIRA already I would recommend this.
- I integrate it with jira to show any kind of project progress. The version control feature on confluence is excellent and the fact that multiple people can edit a page at the same time is awesome.
- Great product for sharing software creation and communications. I really enjoyed the workflow and ability to communicate with several developers.
Cons
- I dislike that Confluence gets a little confusing with multiple links for the same page (a long link and a short link), but it is hard to differentiate.
- You also need to make sure that obsolete information is cleaned or marked obsolete, otherwise documentation rot can make information difficult to find.
- It happened to our team and it made using Confluence unpleasant and annoying.
Pros
- Promapp is a fantastic tool that will enable anyone to map a process. Easy to use and understand and encourages communication and collaboration on the development of processes in your business.
- It is so well integrated with SharePoint. I have also been amazed at the willingness of Nintex product engineers to provide webinars, help and best practice advice.
- It is clear why Promapp are in the market and what they want to achieve with their product so it breaths simplicity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Cons
- Very confusing and frustrating for a simple process.
- Nintex repeating column should be used with json. Xml is too annoying and too heavy.
- Lack of training resources specially for power users point of view. That's where Microsoft is dominating the market now.
