Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • I integrate it with jira to show any kind of project progress. The version control feature on confluence is excellent and the fact that multiple people can edit a page at the same time is awesome.
  • Best part about confluence is that it’s ease of access and ability to share in various platforms like slack and JIRA.
  • Awesome document syncing for online collaboration. Superb permission management for critical security of confidential data.
  • Cons

  • I dislike that Confluence gets a little confusing with multiple links for the same page (a long link and a short link), but it is hard to differentiate.
  • You also need to make sure that obsolete information is cleaned or marked obsolete, otherwise documentation rot can make information difficult to find.
  • It happened to our team and it made using Confluence unpleasant and annoying.

  • Pros

  • I love all of the formatting options (to-do lists, tables, etc.) I also love that you can add some nice aesthetic features (custom header photos, icons, etc.) to each page to personalize it.
  • What is there not to like. It's a brilliant app that is highly customizable, ensuring that you can meet the needs of your business, team and clients included.
  • It has tons of cool features and an amazing dashboard for such a low price, which is why I would highly recommend this software to most people.
  • Cons

  • Android app is terrible, to the point that I never even use it. Sometimes the "blocks" don't work as intended and you find yourself with pages split in two.
  • It can be pretty slow to start up, and navigation has a lot of lag on mid-tier devices. Building and changing layouts can be difficult, and the offline functionality is sometimes limited.
  • I could not stop thinking into turning more parts of my life into ordered processes. I dumped my yearly account on Evernote right away.
