dotloop allows users to manage transactions, edit, share and e-sign real estate documents. It also offers compliance, storage, form editing and digital signatures features. Users can view their business performance using the reporting tools.

It provides compliance management and real-time notification features for changes in deal status. dotloop offers integration with Boomtown, Inside Real Estate, LionDesk, RealGeeks, Zurple, SweepBright, SnapNHD, Google Drive, Preclose and others.

Support is offered via email and over the phone. Other help options include webinars, onsite seminars and tutorials.

Dotloop Love

It has saved me so much time. Uploading is quick, moving files between folders is quick and efficient, signing process, instantaneous notifications when something has been signed or shared, everything this software does makes my job easier!

Pros

All my files in one place, helps me meet compliance requirements with the state

Cons

At first, hard to tell how it all works. I had a class but really until you start using it, you don't know it. Doesn't take long though to understand how the capability of this software is going to save you tons of time and effort! I would like to be able to share a document from one loop to another without having to download it. If that can be done I haven't figured it out.

Can't Rise When Stooping

I got on board with this product when it first came to my large metro area. I used it substantially for a while, until it was acquired by Zillow, a company that directly competes with agents, takes agent data and then sells it back to agents, and other things I find unsavory. I still interact with it regularly due to other agents who use it, but I strongly dislike it, both for its usability and for moral reasons.

Pros

Dotloop is widely used by real estate agents, so they all are familiar with the same software.

Cons

1. That it's owned by a company that is my competitor, not my ally, and that has access to all my real estate activity when I use it.
2. That it doesn't allow notes or edits to forms on the fly without being a paid member.
3. That it doesn't automatically append .pdf copies of forms when documents are shared.
4. It is tedious and repetitive to create "loops" of data, adding users, and so on. I strongly prefer Backagent for this type of document tracking.

Easy to use!

My overall experience with dotloop has been great and I will continue to use dotloop as needed.

Pros

I love that I am able to manage my 100 real estate agents through Dotloop and easily have signatures timestamped and messages through dotloop. Dotloop also is updating all the time to make it a better experience

Cons

The least thing I like about dotloop is not being able to "make a copy" to other admin profiles. This makes things more frustrating!!

Using DotLoop for Secure Transactions

Very satisfied with DotLoop. It provides the functions for templates and the secure way to have documents signed, makes it a winner.

Pros

We use DotLoop as part of the Keller Williams Realty Gold Coast transaction management systems for listing and selling real estate. It offers the extensive use of business developed templates and secure signatures. Also has ability to send documents multiple ways, which is handy for different skill sets of clients.

Cons

Making sure that the right permissions are assigned to the correct set of users. You just have to be careful on the setup.

The software was easy to use and navigate. I was sent documents when purchasing real estate and I was quickly able to review and sign the documents and send back to my agent in minutes.

Cons

When opening the documents it was a bit difficult going back to areas that were not previously signed. It was also not mobile friendly.

Essential in real estate

Great Program for Paperless Companies!

I have never had any huge issues with Dotloop. If I ever experience anything difficult, the Dotloop customer service helps immediately to get the problem solved. Would highly recommend Dotloop for any paperless company!

Pros

The ease of use. Dotloop provides access to anyone with a simple addition of an email and a name. Very straight forward for clients to use, even let's them sign with a click of a button. Dotloop also keeps files neatly organized. You're even able to add PDF's direct from your email into the loop and folder you like!

Cons

There actually isn't much that our office does not like about Dotloop. The only thing that can be an issue is if you have one client as multiple parties. For example, while using the "auto-fill" function of dotloop, if you have an agent that also doubles as the purchaser, there is no way to use the same email account for separate signature spaces for the different roles. Before sending out to clients, you must go through the document and verify that all signatures spaces are assigned correctly.

Great idea but buggy

Dotloop saves so much time and money

Dotloop has saved us so much time and money, and I could not imagine ever having to go back to getting signatures the old fashioned way. In addition, both myself and my boss can access documents from anywhere we have an internet connection, so it has kind of acted as a cloud server for us as well. Overall, I really love this software, it has made my job so much easier.

Pros

I work as a transaction coordinator for a real estate agent, and Dotloop has revolutionized the way we do business. The best feature of this software is the ability to digitally sign paperwork, which saves us so much time and money. Many times, we go back and forth negotiating a contract, and we need initials and signatures each time we make a change. Rather than having to physically meet up with clients, we are able to acquire signatures quickly and easily via email.

Cons

Sharing a loop can be confusing. I rarely share my loops with other agents for fear of them having access to and changing things they shouldn't and vice versa.

A great way to organize, share, and edit documents for real estate

Connectivity with other agents, quick and easy way to store, organize and edit documents.

Pros

DotLoop is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. When you create a new loop, it essentially walks you through what documents are needed for every stage of a transaction.

Cons

There were times when I was unable to close loops that were completed and I could not figure out why.

I used DotLoop in a condominium purchase recently and it was very easy to use, with great workflow

fast response time, distributed document management, totally easy to work through

I did not really care for this software. I was used to other products and their integrations and I feel like Dotloop fell short of meeting up with the competition.

I did not like the user dashboard for this, I did not like that clients have to create an account to sign. With other programs, they can just be verified by their email and then sign.

Online Filing Cabinets, Communications, and Electronic Signing in ONE!!!

Pros

I LOVE Dot Loop. We had been hesitant on making the move to Dot Loop, but we took a leap of faith! It was the best choice for our company. This software makes documents easy to autofill, share with others, and have them electronically signed. You can submit loops and documents for review from higher authorities within a channel for accuracy and storage. It eliminates paper and filing cabinets from a room in the office. It is the perfect software to store all the documents for your transactions.

Cons

The only thing that we are finding that we dislike is that you cannot send a document for electronic signature to one email for several people to sign. Each person has to have a designated email. We are used to being able to use the same email for multiple users for example, Husband and Wife. We are going to work around it though because the Pros outweigh the Cons!

Easy Peasy

Pros

We could not have managed the sale and purchase of our properties without this software. Dotloop allowed us to expedite a process that would have been much to slow to meet our incredibly strict timeline. Thanks to Dotloop, signing documents and keeping everyone organized and on the same page was a breeze!

Cons

There was a weird message at the end that wasn't easy to determine if it was part of the process or not. I clicked on it several times not realizing I didn't have to and ended up down some rabbit holes I wasn't prepared for.
