I have managed to create a number of project schedules without too much trouble as the tool is very intuitive to use when compared with other tools on the market. No matter your experience, you will be up and running in a relatively short time. GanttPro has all the basic features I need and the user interface is modern and contemporary, making it ideal for sharing your schedules with key stakeholders on your project. If you manage multiple projects that are part of a programs or portfolio within your organisation, then you'll find the Portfolios and Workload functions very useful for managing your resources. Further, having the ability to combine all your projects and resources in one consolidated view, which can be set-up within a few clicks, is simply fantastic. Being browser-based, I like the fact I can review and update my schedules from any location. It is also possible to share your schedules with members of your team who don't have a license to GanttPro, by generating a link, which is perfect if you need to communicate the latest schedule with them. #### Cons As mentioned by another reviewer, there is a mimum requirement to purchase 5 seats on the paid plans, which can be an issue from a cost perspective if you don't need all 5 seats. #### Reasons for switching to GanttPRO Wanted to find a scheduling tool that was easy to use, not only for myself, but for others as well, who don't have much experience with creating schedules. #### Vendor response Hi David! What helped a lot was a support team that would answer questions real FAST (sometimes within a few minutes!). I was able to get up to speed with GanttPRO within three weeks, and it works well for planning our development projects in a large team of engineers. I checked out other tools as well, but most of them had a serious show stopper or were lacking important features. Juggling much courses, being able to have an overview of all classes, coursework, and when to start which project is the most invaluable part of any Gantt chart application. Gantt Pro has the most flexible and user friendly interface I've found. #### Cons There are a few annoying "bugs" where if you don't click exactly at the right spot to rename a task, it opens the task's information pane, more of an annoyance than a true issue. Easy to change dates, durations, dependencies, and switch between projects. I've used both MS Project and FastTrack, and I'll admit that those are super robust programs..........but for the money, GanttPRO is easier to use and has 90% of the features that those big guys have. FYI.........I track low level construction projects in the multi-family industry.....previously, I was tracking bigger construction projects in Commerical and Health Care industries and still did not need to use all of the features in MS Project or FastTrack. #### Cons There have been a few glitches..........but customer service fixes them quickly.
