Great Collaboration Tool to Improve Efficiency of Work
Planview PPM is used across most departments in my school to plan and control projects. It is a very useful tool that has helped to foster collaboration among various teams in the organization.
PROSThe various set of different tools that are available to manage meetings and documents all makes work easier for everyone
CONSThere are not many dislikes in the software except for the fact that the user interface can be improved a bit to make it more user friendly.

Innotas for Project and time tracking
Innotas has made many improvements this last year which have been great bring the product into the 20th century. However they still have work to do. Adding documents to the project is cumbersome and time consuming. A drag and drop feature would be better and versioning is no longer available. The task enter has been modified but seeing the name of the task is to small they need to make it so you can resize the column. Entering resources on a project is time consuming as you need to enter in 2 places and then on each task. Over all the product is good but with further improvements it could be much better.
PROSLook and feel
CONSEntering time, entering resources on project, adding documents and versioning those documents

Project Portfolio Management Software
I am a consultant and I help organizations select Portfolio/Program/Project Management software. The range of projects that my client manage per year ranges from 60 project/year to 800 projects/year. The complexity of the project ranges from basic to very complex. I found Planview can adequately accommodate the range and complexity.
PROS1) Ease of use (learning curve is not steep if you practice regularly) 2) Contains all the elements required to completely manage your portfolios (identification, prioritization, benefit assessment) 3) Good if you want to customize your project lists (or programs). The system gives you many field to add any project features you need. This is especially good if you want to create a portfolio framework at the enterprise level. 4) Very good reporting capabilities and easy to learn and use.
CONSThe costing module requires a bit of knowledge. So before digging into this module spend time with your project costing team to learn the basics. Otherwise ensure to involve your Subject Matter Experts in project costing to set up this module.

Planview PPM Pro helps!!
The total segregation of the employees data is maintained along with their time management by HR team.
PROSA great help for HR department and in my company mainly for time manamgement records for the employees. Another department also uses the same in order track the task management for the team and tracking the tasks assigned for the different Releases of our project. For Senior leadership, dashboards have been helpful.
CONSA little time consuming when it comes to maintaing detailed information on specific tasks. I have to then maintain another task sheet in my local system to tally the details.

Innotas too cumbersome and inefficient for use.
It is web-based. Team is constantly working on upgrades and provides updates as soon as they become available.
CONSIt's functionality is limited. Not intuitive software. Difficult for developing reports. Requires duplicate entries that could be entered once and mapped to other areas.

Managing Project and Application Portfolios Using The Cloud
I would definitely recommend it. Innotas takes the complexity of portfolio management and drills it down to a sophisticated simplicity. Comprehensive integration with third-party applications and an extensible API further strengthen the case for this solution. Highly recommended.
