Best Hourly Software for Virtual Assistants
I often work on projects that are paid by the hour and I use My Hours to time myself as I work. It's so easy to customize to each project!
PROSWith a virtual career, I often need to track my hours when working. I have been through several different types of time management software and only My Hours has worked for my needs. It's customizable for my business and its interface works seamlessly between all my pieces of technology. I really like how easy it is to pull reports from the Dashboard when I need to submit my hours to the company.
CONSThere is only one feature missing from the software that I have determined after using it for almost a year. When a report is pulled up, I would like to be able to click to a certain day on the graph. Right now the bar graphs are not hyperlinked to the actual working hours.

My Hours was much more flexible in customizing my account. I work on multiple projects with different descriptions and hourly rates.
Reasons for switching to My Hours
TimeCamp's options became limited to me when I tried to set up different projects with different hourly rates. It seemed very one dimensional for my needs.

Great, free time tracking service
I’m able to send out timesheets to my employers to show by the minute reporting.
PROSIt’s free.Ive been using it for years and it’s worked well for my needs.
CONSNo cons at all. I haven’t run into anything that is an issue.

Details our billing for our wide range of clients
We track an international team of ~30 and hundreds of clients on this software. Ultimately for the price, this has been the best value per dollar since our productivity tools lie elsewhere and we use MyHours purely for tracking billable time per client. We've been able to expand from the basic features and use the "Task" feature quite robustly to handle some of the much larger accounts that essentially house "sub-accounts". For a growing startup looking to keep costs down, MyHours has been good to us. Last year we explored other options as our company suddenly expanded and decided that a simple solution was still the best solution for us even 6 years in.
PROSI like how simple the interface is for the single thing that is done the most every day: tracking hours. Just select client and hit start. If you want more details that can be provided, but we've been able to track a lot of data from just the user, the client, and the amount of hours alone
CONSAs a graphic designer I wish the interface was a bit more beautiful, but as a ux designer I know that it's value lies in the simplicity of the interaction not how pretty the buttons are. But I still wish the single app I use the most times a day was nicer to look at.

My Hours is my rock
It's been such a clean simple way to track my hours for projects and clients. Highly recommend.
PROSI find it very easy to use. Straight forward way to track my hours for different clients and there are lots more features I could apply.
CONSThere hasn't been any cons of My Hours for me.

The best app for time tracking
The function I use the most is to create tasks to find out how many hours are spent on each one. Thanks to My Ours, this job is done quickly and with just a few clicks.

MyHours for the Time Tracking Win!
Overall, my team has appreciated the move to MyHours. They are able to track their time on the fly from the mobile app or from their desktops. Knowing we are accurately charging for our time is critical to a business that trades time for money!
PROSEase of use is paramount when choosing a new system in my business. When it came time to track our time more consistently My Hours was an easy choice. The ease of implementation and use has made the transition to formal time tracking a breeze!
CONSSetting up your Projects and Tasks is the foundation of MyHours. Having a bit more training/education on the importance of setting these up at the start would be appreciated.

A fantastic option for SMB and soloprenuers
The customer support is great - whether it is the forms and resources of the live chat. Also the general setup, features, details is awesome and I would be totally lost without it.
PROSEase of setting up a client or project, and editing a project, tasks, or reporting. Customizable reports at all levels of detail.
CONSThere are a few "nice to have" features which are not currently available: including the ability to scope an employee to a certain total hours and target utilization rates, and then to be able to see via AI or reports, how many more hours they could take on in a given week or month.

I love My Hours
I love My Hours!
PROSAs a freelance editor, I use My Hours daily to track my hours across multiple projects. Some of my projects need only an hour or 2 each day- this tool is so helpful regarding invoicing at the end of the month.
CONSIn Task Mode- i wish you could see the hours for each task in that mode.

My Hours delivers a clean consistent user interface with an impressive and affordable feature set
Using My Hours delivers a rewarding and pleasant experience to the otherwise mundane task of time tracking and reporting.
PROSThe interface to enter hours by project and task with tags either manually or automatic time tracking. The clean crisp appearance, the configurability, as well as the customization capabilities of the Activity Report.
CONSSometimes I have to think a bit on how to switch time tracking modes, for example from the daily time log to the weekly timesheet view.
Reason for choosing My Hours
The ability manage time tracking by project, tasks, and tags. The ability generate pdf activity reports. The easy to use and intuitive interface for entering billable time by client and project. The affordability, as well as the modern, professional and elegant interface of all the features compared to the others products that I trialed led to an easy decision to move forward with My Hours. After several months of use, I am very pleased with my decision.
Reasons for switching to My Hours
The increased cost of the other product became prohibitive. The search for an replacement time tracking solution was due to the new pricing structure of QuickBooks Time.

Time will tell.
I use MyHours every day. It keeps me sane. It stops we overworking or underworking. It also gives me the power to assess individual areas of my business, life, and projects so I can fine tune and not live in la la land when it comes to understanding how long creative projects (and non-creative for that matter) actually take. Critical when it comes to pricing projects and determining the right fee level.
PROSYou can copy from the previous week so you don't have to rebuild your timesheet. You can see your whole week spread of projects, tasks, and time and edit the whole lot with an overview of everything.

Great tool!
Tracking time is so easy on this app and program. The software works concurrently between my phone and my computer. It is very easy to manage all of my customers and my time on each project. My customers like my time reporting on their billing, it helps them see how my time was actually spent. It helps me see when I am productive and when I am not.

Reliable & Organized Time Tracking Software!
My Hours is super easy to view, learn, and use. Clocking in and clocking out as a way of tracking time is easy, or time can be manually logged with a project name and description about the work done. The Reports generated by the system are well-organized, easy to read, and are easy to send to show time worked.
CONSIt seems like some of my projects are billed at different rates even though I’ve changed the rate and set it to be from the beginning

Very userfull tool for time tracking with great reports
1) Control the amount of time I work with projects and each client. 2) Know exactly what to charge from my clients 3) More control over time consuming tasks
PROSMyHours is very easy to use and generate reports with nice graphics and statistics. I can review time consuming tasks and have more control over the projects. MyHours also give me information about how much each task costs to me and what to charge in my billings. I'm using the free plan for 2 years and this tool is a big help for my webdesign projects.
CONSThe color pallete :) I enjoy dark interfaces, perhaps in future this option could be available. For now, MyHours is perfect for my needings.

Some very good bits & 1 or 2 niggles
Our old time recording system ceased to be supported so we had to find a new one. We looked at lots of alternatives and ran a new one for almost a year but it was dreadful. Lots of systems want to manage your whole practice rather than just log time so finding My Hours was a real relief. We run it alongside Xero and our CRM both of which we didn’t want to change. Apart from niggles as above this has been a great system for us.
PROSIt’s great to be able to log time as you work, whether in the office or in the move. I’m sure being easy to do so means we capture more chargeable hours than we did using our old (very annoying) system.
CONSOverall this is a great product but I have a few niggles which I hope might get sorted out. I don’t like that time is logged to the second rather than whole minutes or nearest 5 minutes - it makes us look money grabbing. Not being able to set up a new chargeable project without having to go into a more detailed screen is annoying and no longer having a link back to the time record from a time report is slowing us down. I don’t like the time report layout as you have to look for the client name and project name - our old original system included a header with this detail which made for better client presentation.

Ease of time entry; stopwatch based; easy to see unbilled time; easy to start work on a new project (although we do have a niggle here), good value, Cloud based, free trial so you can have a taste of what you’re getting.0
Reasons for switching to My Hours
Really illogical and time consuming to use - entering time was a nuisance - we grew to hate it. We made the decision to move everything on to the Cloud and the version we used was a download product - their cloud solution was hugely expensive as we only wanted to record time. All in all we decided it just wasn’t the right system for us.

Great product for contractors
I used this as a free product for several years. That is something that My Hours makes possible for contractors like me. However, last year they ran a good deal and I decided the product was worth paying for. It would be good if there was a tiered pricing system so that sole contractors purchase the product for much less than a larger company that uses all the features.
PROSAs a sole-proprietor contractor who has a fixed fee per job rather than per hour, I do not use a tenth of the capability of this product. However, part of my license requirements is to keep a log of my time by assignment. This product makes that easy. I can set up multiple projects with multiple clients in just a few minutes. And managing my time recording for multiple projects a day is simple. I'd also like to commend this product for continuous advancements in capability and ease of use.
CONSThere are a few things that I either don't understand or don't work exactly like I think they will. For example, I would like my preplanned task list to show up in a specific order when I set up a new project, but I couldn't figure out how to get them in the order I wanted them. I should just contact [SENSITIVE CONTENT], because the few times I've needed help she has always managed to get me sorted out.

The previous system was also free for contractors, but it was very simple and didn't have near the capabilty of My Hours.

Helpful for Tracking Time on Multiple Clients
I work at a healthcare non-profit that also has a for-profit subsidiary that is similar to an agency managing other clients. A few years ago, we implemented a new timesheet system that required us to report hours on each client. I use My Hours every single day to track the time I spend on different clients/projects so that I can accurately fill out my timesheet twice a month. We have to submit our timesheet a few days before the pay period ends (i.e. submit July 30th on July 26th), so I have to guess how much time I'm going to spend on each client over those few days (I use an excel spreadsheet to estimate this). After submitting my timesheet, I use My Hours to track the actual time spent and then reconcile it on the next timesheet. It's exhausting, but this software makes it SO much easier, and I am very grateful that the features I need are free to use. Also customer support is very helpful if you have any questions. CONSIt takes some getting used to (not very intuitive), and but customer support helped me fix the activity report to a default view so that I don't have to change it to what I need (total daily time by project) every time. I should have contacted them sooner, [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was a great help!

I use Myhours even though I have changed jobs and work at a place that does have and require use of an official time keeping app. But I can't have a live clock going as I work. So I still use my hours as I go about the week to record time and then enter it into the other app
PROSI started using Myhours when I worked in a small NGO that didn't have their own time management system. I found My hours accessible (I used it myself and wasn't paid for by the company so it was great that the free version had all the basic functions), and intuitive It was easy to create a new task if you needed to without spending a long time setting it up, it was convenient to just turn the clock on and off as you went and reporting functions were good as I could create an activity report and email it to payroll quickly..
CONSHonestly I only have two things I didn't like. Firstly the occasional bugs where sometimes time doesn't get recorded or won't stop when I click on stop. But this hasn't happened in a while so that's good. The other is that It seems I can no longer get an activity report in excel format downloaded in the free version. I understand you want to limit the free version, but given that was available before I found it a bit inconvenient suddenly.
