Hubstaff is a comprehensive time tracking and work management solution for project teams. In addition to providing web, mobile and desktop timers, Hubstaff lets business owners send invoices, pay team members, view over 13 detailed reports, export timesheets and schedule shifts from one central location.

Other productivity features include app and URL tracking, screen capture up to three times per ten minutes (which can also be turned off) and activity rates based on keyboard and mouse movements.

Time and activity data is accessible through work reports and a dashboard, which provides details on active projects and team activity. Hubstaff offers automatic payroll through integrations with PayPal, TransferWise and Payoneer. Integrations with over 30 project management, customer relationship management (CRM) and help desk solutions are also supported.

Services are offered on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via email, live chat and online FAQs.

Ecxellent Software

Pros

This software makes working remotely so easy! I definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to outsource or hire someone in another country. It's an easy way to track the amount of hours worked if you're paying or receiving payment for an hourly rate. It's completely transparent and works great!

Cons

I have had no issues with this software.

Hubstaff is a useful tool in tracking individual team member performance

I love Hubstaff because it's affordable and you can easily manage your team under the platform when it comes to work performance tracking and payroll.

Pros

Hubstaff is a great way to monitor your team's work activities. It can measure the activity level of the employee from the scale of 1 to 10 on each 10-minute interval screenshots. It also allow you to monitor the number of hours spent on each task completed. It allows you to see how many hours had been spent by each member so far and you can also manage their payroll inside the platform.

Cons

I want to see more features to the software like tracking the sites that has been opened by the freelancer while he or she was working.

Customer service is very responsive and fairly quick.

Pros

Timers are easy to use. Screen shots are great to review employee productivity.

Cons

Glitches in the timers. Employees have complaints that they cannot get them to shut off or they stop in the middle of a shift.

Solid Value

It's a very good value and helps us keep track of our remote staff. Cuts down on administrative tasks and is well worth it.

Pros

Works well, no complaints really. The dashboard and management portal are easy to use. Our staff seems to have no problem with it, and from a management side it's simple and intuitive.

Cons

So far it hasn't given us any problems. We've used it for almost 2 years now.

Easy and smart way of tracking time for employees

Nothing to be solved except the cons which is manageable, overall it's the best time tracking tool out there.

Pros

The best feature that this software holds is the way it sees the employee's activity by doing snapshots every 10 minutes in a random time.

Cons

The least would be how inactivity only depends on mouse movement and keyboard typing, there should be other ways especially if the company includes watching videos as part of their work or waiting for phone calls and chats I mean what if there are just a few volume of calls and chats then the only way is to move your mouse.

I login and go, and at the end of the month I get paid - simple

Cons

We need to manually put in our Paid Time Off - PTO. Keeping track of my personal PTO is a nightmare. The calendars on the reports to set up custom time fields are clunky and often do not save.

Having a more intuitive PTO system in place that has running totals would be useful. So, for example, I could tell HubStaff that I am allowed 8 hours paid leave for every 66 hours worked, to a maximum of 22 days (176 hours) for every 365 days. Hubstaff could then let me know how much of the 22 days I have used in the last 365 days.

This would also save hours of work for the HR department

Essential tool for remote work

With this tool, it's now possible to hire developers based on hourly rate and have the confidence about transparency.

Pros

It's very easy for your workers to use this tool. They just have to install a simple client and that's it. They also provide integration with many other tools such as Gitlab, Asana, Jira and more. I liked it very much.

Cons

Integration can be tricky, specially because you can have more than one remote project connected to a single Hubstaff project. This would be good for software companies with many micro services repositories (in case you use Gitlab and Github).

Keeping your remote team in check

It's lightweight, doesn't make your computer slow, and there's a dashboard for employees to ensure their time was properly tracked

Pros

It reduces the burden or tracking the productivity of your remote team, the application is small, it works offline, you can track multiple progress and it tracks keyboard and mouse activity!

Cons

You can't add time once an employee has reached the weekly limit, but the workaround is to add the missing time to the next week.
