Ease of implementation is a powerful factor on thi software. It is very easy to manage, support most of features needed by any company. There are many add-ons you can get for an affordable price. UI is pretty good too

We used OrangeScrum for a few years, and it seems overtime the system got worse. A lot of issues with interface, navigation and just crashes. There were times where we couldn't use the software for the entire day because of some "caching issues" that they were experiencing. The interface is WAY too complicated and dated (compared to other offerings out there). Unfortunately, after years of trying to make this software work - we decided to ditch it and build our own solution that would work for us.

The feature set is pretty good, lots of functionality to manage projects, tasks and timeframes.

The software is very buggy, filters don't work half the time, sorting by date never works, getting a list of all "outstanding" tasks requires a lot of clicks and refreshes. The interface is VERY difficult to use, the system crashes a lot and considering the bugs - in some cases it's absolutely unusable.

Excellent. I would recommend it to anyone anytime. It is the go to software for all project management, task management and resource tracking needs. It has very elegant interfaces and a modern look and feel. Technically it does the work it was intended to do really well and much better than many tools out their.

OrangeScrum is my favourite project management software. We have used it for 3 years now and it always performs better. What I like it best for is their Scrum module which has implemented the Agile Scrum methodology perfectly well. The software is easy to use and self paced starters can get along quite easily. At the moment we use it for advanced functionalities including time tracking and resource management for our large multi-site environment.

Everything looks great and okay, the only area I would like to see improvements on is the reports. Probably a do it yourself report generation module would be ideal but that has been compensated by the fact that one can extract the data via API and use their statistical tools for advanced reporting. Otherwise the basic reports are sufficient for most of the use cases.

It simplified the running of the HR department due to the functionalities it possesses.

It has time-sheet and punch in/out functionalities that make it easy to monitor employee activities on a daily basis.

It experiences frequent downtime thereby making it impossible to execute important HR functions like leave approvals.

What I like about OrangeScrum is that it has a great user interface that allow you to easily manage projects, monitor tasks and that the open source/community edition has plenty of features. Another great pro is that it's self hosted and you're not storing your complete data set in the cloud.

So far I've not been really able to determine any noticeable cons on this software other than that the software was running unstable after installation. We had to apply some manual code fixes to fix this problem, but it was minor.

We used orangescrum to manage our project tasks and collaboration. It was fairly simple to install and use, once you understand the basics of project management

We found the email alerts to be too many and redundant. Customization was also not simple, which eventually led to the application being under utilized by the team, who preferred to use the help desk application

Many things are paid, as a open source software I have expected some of the good features can be free like invoice & Client Management. - Portfolio management not available - Have to pay onetime off for extra features - Facing database connection error so many time - Sending email to the admin not creating task or ticket (only adding email reply into the same task)

Team Project Management

I like that orangescrum has a lot of customization and has good manageability. Our instance is installed on a dedicated sever on our environment which gives us a lot of control over access

I dislike that it feels like the product feels out of date compared to other solutions. Also, you have to set this product whereas a lot of other similar products work right away without any setup time

So far I really like it

When I set out to find a task tracker I found plenty of Cloud based services that seemed to do what I wanted but I really needed to have more control. As a programmer and designer I wanted something that not only worked but that I could also plug into my local systems. OrangeScrum seems to allow me to do that, the addons are a single cost and the self hosting option seems to be priced right.

It took me a couple days to get the community edition installed. I'm using Slackware 15 (bleeding edge features) and had to downgrade some packages to get OS installed. Installation took awhile as the instructions would assume it to work perfectly out of the box. Granted my distro was not "supported" but its just a web app, you don't need a package to make it work and I'd like to have some instructions to aid in those efforts.

Managing sprint and release cycles to track the progress if product development. So far satisfied with the product.

As an organization, we moved to Agile about a year ago and we use Orange Scrum to track our sprints and iterations. Gives a very clear and visual progress of our sprint work. Orange Scrum provides different graphs to indicate the progress of the product development and helps us create individual tasks to reach the goal set by the product team

The tool is awesome but the only thing I would like to point out is we can have more options and configurations which are customizable in nature more specific for our team

I was very impressed with the ease of use of its interface and all its features to manage projects. It is a platform that can be customized to our needs. It maintains a technical support that offers assistance to any requirement. A very important fact for those who manage their projects using other platforms, is that it offers a specialized service in migrating data from their projects to OrangeScrum.

The software seemed quite stable, flexible in its use, but they have many more benefits that are only applicable to your project as long as you acquire the payment license, of which there is a wide variety at affordable prices and according to the importance and complexity of this tool.

Simplicity and easy to use. Has many add-ons and very modular. The people behind this product support are excellent, they provide quick responses to problems I had before. For me this product is best value for money to spend on project management tools.

Its too bad the application written in PHP. There is no option to personalize themes through configuration panel. I also cannot found a documentation to write an add-on.

Lack of subtasks in the Community Edition, but this is a pretty minor inconvenience for the free tier of a product.
