Slack Software

Slack is a cloud-based project collaboration and team interaction tool designed to facilitate communication across organizations. The solution caters to various industries, including media, research, technology, education, financial services, retail, transport and logistics.

Slack provides public channels for members across organizations to start conversations. Private channels enable interaction within smaller teams, and direct channels help send messages directly to colleagues.

Slack incorporates feeds from social media into the application and blends them with ongoing conversations in various channels. Files such as PDFs, images, documents and spreadsheets can be shared via drag and drop.

Slack archives messages, notifications, files (as well as the contents of files) and projects, all of which can be searched for later. Slack allows users to customize their notifications and reduce their scope. All changes are reflected in the native applications available for iOS and Android.

Make it smoother

Pros

Because it has a really nice and easy user interface. And it provides a great functionality through out the app.

Cons

Sometimes laggy. And doesn't update. Its not a significant delay but sometimes it bothers me. And the options to get notified must be improved.

This is a greet tool for communication and collaboration. It's one of the best out there. I really enjoy using this tool. I also think the emojis are great!

Pros

The most favorite aspect of Slack for me is the ability to create different channels for different topics. Then I like that the software is easy to use and makes it easy and efficient for teams to communicate and collaborate.

Cons

It's really hard to pick something negative about Slack. Aside from the interface that may just be in need of some minor upgrades, I do not have anything to complain about.

Overall, this software will change the way your office collaborates and communicates. It was a game-changer for my office!

Pros

Very, very intuitive and easy to use, which is such a plus getting an organization to adopt. It's also very simple to set up a work environment and to have a team organized and collaborating. The app also integrates nicely with the software, allowing team members to stay up to date and contribute with just their phone.

Cons

It's so easy to use and communicate that at times it may eat into productivity. This is not necessarily a con of the software, but more an issue of how my team uses it. I do have to turn off alerts and notifications when not working, otherwise I will constantly feel connected to work.

I believe this will be a perfect app if you have some sort of a project and a team to do it, you can easily assign each team for their tasks.

Pros

it gathers all of your team together and you can make different channels, it also allows you to pm each individual for more privacy.

also a great thing is you can merge other apps to it so you can access them more easily throw Slack.

Cons

The design needs a little bit furnishing, it should be more simple and the functions should be more obvious, sometimes i get tired and bored working on Slack.

Slack is a great choice for internal communication. Assuming you're not on a bootstrap budget, you won't be disappointed if you go with Slack.

Pros

-Really easy to use and intuitive. The design is really well thought out. Almost no learning curve.
-Excellent controls over notifications. Can snooze them on a specific channel for a while, ignore them, etc.
-Great integrations. Integrating things like online reviews is pretty easy. The API is great to work with.

Cons

-It can be expensive for large teams.
-I have some issues with the video calling. It connects really slowly while most other video calling solutions do not.
-I don't like the search capabilities. Narrowing it down to the criteria I want can be a pain.

I have used both Ryver and Slack for inter-office messaging and community. Slack exceeds Ryver as far as features and abilities to expands just simple messaging between co-workers.

Pros

Extensive usable features once you explore the functionality of the software. Creates community within the workplace for large organizations, and/or remote workers. Ease of creating channels and managing those channels is a huge plus, especially compared to competitor systems.

I highly recommend this app to any company. It simplifies communication and collaboration for teams.

Pros

I'll just start with the fact that slack gives you free credits to start using the software, wich is great for small business. Thank you slack.
This software is amazing for team communication. Not only all the team can be on the conversation, where you can share files and more, but also you can organize the communication by channels, what make the collaboration easier.

Cons

It can be a little difficult to understand how to navigate slack, but once you get it, is like riding a bike, you won't forget.
Per-use princing is also a good feature, but it can be expensive depending on your currency.

Pros

I have used Slack for a long time to communicate clearly and effectively with various teams that I have been a part with. Slack allows us to communicate quickly and efficiently to ensure that everyone knows what they must be doing and when they should do it. You can easily create channels, groups, and even assign group member's roles to make sure they know what they are doing. Slack offers an App, as well as a desktop site, so you can communicate with your team virtually anywhere. Overall, Slack is a fantastic program to keep in contact with a team to ensure the build quality, and the time efficiency is kept up to standard.

Cons

With many apps on the market today, Slack sometimes stutters or buffers if too many messages come in at once. On more than one occasion I have not been notified of a message in my group's Slack group because the app failed to notify me. I understand that there may be problems here and there, but when the message is an important one, it gets exceedingly frustrating to keep putting up with it, as I need to know what is happening and when it is happening. Overall though, it's still a fantastic app with just a few bugs that need to be worked at here and there.
