### Most mentioned pros

- it helps to keep the relevent colleagues accoutable and has a tracker in place to make sure all the tasks done within the deadline
- Administrators can assign roles, monitor performance, and maintain oversight with high-level visibility while employees enjoy a streamlined task experience.
- It works especially well for structured teams and client-based workflows. While there are areas that could be improved in terms of usability and simplicity, it’s a solid and reliable project management solution.

### Most mentioned cons

- One thing I liked the least is the need to add tags manually to tasks every time. And that is something which I forget, most of the bugs have the title as 'Bug' in my case, I wish it adds tags based on that.
- At times some search keywords are not accurately recognized, leading to less precise search results.
- I don't need the full set of capabilities for all my users and it gets expensive fast.

Overall, my experience has been positive. Before using Teamwork.com, we tracked projects through emails and spreadsheets, which often led to missed updates. Now everything is in one place, making it easier to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and work together. It has helped our team stay more organized and improved communication.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

What I liked most about Teamwork.com is how easy it is to keep projects organized. I can assign tasks, set deadlines, track progress, and share files without switching between different tools. It gives everyone a clear view of what's happening, which helps avoid confusion and keeps work moving.

#### Cons

There are a lot of features, so it can feel a bit confusing at first. It took me some time to get comfortable with the layout. Some reports and advanced tools are only available in higher-priced plans, which can be limiting for smaller teams.

### Powerful, All-in-One Platform That Keeps Getting Better

Overall, Teamwork has been a foundational system for how we run projects and manage operations. It supports visibility, accountability, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. While no platform is perfect, Teamwork continues to evolve in meaningful ways and remains a strong, reliable partner for growing, service-based teams that need operational clarity and scalability.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What stands out most is that everything lives in one place. Project management, time tracking, collaboration, and reporting are all integrated, which eliminates tool sprawl and gives us a single source of truth. Their customer support is consistently strong. Responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping you succeed. The product team clearly listens to users, and you can see feedback reflected in ongoing improvements and new features. It’s also intuitive. New team members ramp up quickly, and the learning curve is manageable even for less technical users. That ease of adoption has made a big difference for cross-functional teams.

#### Cons

Because the platform evolves quickly, changes can sometimes roll out with limited notice, which may require teams to adjust workflows on the fly or introduce new bugs. While innovation is a positive overall, more proactive communication around updates would help with change management. There are also a lot of features, some of which aren’t relevant to every team. The ability to toggle certain features off at the account level would help reduce visual clutter and keep the experience streamlined. For some users, especially those new to structured task management, the depth of functionality can feel overwhelming at first. From a technical perspective, the API and documentation could be stronger. There’s room for improvement in clarity and extensibility, particularly for teams looking to build more advanced integrations. I’d also love to see more forward-looking MCP/AI-ready capabilities within Teamwork Spaces to support automation and smarter workflows.

#### Reasons for choosing Teamwork.com

Ultimately, it came down to price, features, and UI. We also really liked to see how the tool was evolving and have been able to help influence how the tool has developed over the years through user feedback.

#### Reasons for switching to Teamwork.com

When I started, I was having a really hard time managing resources and getting insightful data across so many different systems. Bringing everything under one system better aligned to how we wanted to manage and switch to more data driven desicion making.

Great software, really user-friendly, able to make custom to our needs

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It is very flexible to use, we were able to add an OKR system so that it would work for our company.

#### Cons

Too many places for comments. We tend to lose comments, not a huge thing because of the emails, but we do lose them in the system, usually these are new employees that haven't or forgot their training

#### Reasons for choosing Teamwork.com

Cost, flexibility at the time, support

#### Reasons for switching to Teamwork.com

Excel wasn't powerful enough for us as we added more projects

I created the entire support system for my company inside Desk and Teamwork. It took a few months, but we were basically going from email to this. We can now generate monthly invoices and send them to QuickBooks via automation.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

They have a lot of project management integrated, so I don't have to go back and forth. The price is reasonable, and they have continued to update the product. I think they have balanced complexity and usability well. I am able to schedule and plan my day from their calendar interface well. The recurring tasks are easy to create and fairly easy to manage/update. Also, Gantt charts. They also have an API that my AI is able to use. The automated triggers are also nice. Decent level of granularity.

#### Cons

There was a learning curve moving from other project management software to this, but I think that is expected. Some of the higher-level functionality is less intuitive to access than the day-to-day stuff. Oh, the inbox "Desk" functionality is an add-on. We weren't clear on that when we signed up. It also seems like it is being actively maintained, though, so that may be worth it.

#### Reasons for choosing Teamwork.com

Cost, Mailbox Manager, and Gantt charts, I think. It's been a year, so I am not 100% sure I remember.

### Intern Approved!

As an intern at a web design company, my experience with Teamwork has been very positive overall. It’s been especially helpful for tracking my time and seeing how long different projects actually take to complete. I really value being able to look back and see myself becoming more efficient over time, that’s been one of the biggest benefits for me personally. From a project management perspective, it keeps everything organized and transparent. I can clearly see my tasks, deadlines, and priorities, which helps me stay on track and manage my workload effectively. It also makes it easy to understand how my work fits into larger client projects. That said, the platform is definitely feature-rich. As an intern, I don’t use all of the advanced tools, and at times it can feel a bit overwhelming because there are so many options and capabilities. However, I can see how those features would be incredibly valuable for my boss and for managing the overall business operations.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It is my favorite time tracking tool. I use it for the ability to measure personal efficiency and productivity. I enjoy the clear task and project organization and it's great for agencies managing multiple clients.

#### Cons

It can feel overwhelming due to the number of features, there's a slight learning curve for new users. Some advanced tools may be more than necessary for junior team members, maybe if there was a way to set what was seen in the dashboard and what can be hidden, it would free up some space and ease new users in.

#### Reasons for switching to Teamwork.com

New company used new tools, I would NOT switch back. I will use Teamwork in my personal business outside of my current job.

Thus far, it's been really positive. We went all in on a project management system migration to Teamwork.com, and it's been wonderful to have all the task descriptions, different notes we can put on there, etc. within the PM system. It's been a real level up for us and I can't wait to see how that keeps going!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love the clean look to it, the varying views, the planning tab - a lot of features in there make it great and easy to use. Their customer support is responsive, making sure that when we have ideas, we are heard. It also does a great job of finding automations and making it easy to edit and check every day.

#### Cons

There are a few kinks here and there - we've had trouble with our custom end dates being saved in a Gantt chart view, but overall not bad!

#### Reasons for choosing Teamwork.com

Ease of interface, how it worked for our specific team, the calendar views, etc.

#### Reasons for switching to Teamwork.com

it was too custom for us - we had to spend a lot of staff time updating it and in the end, it wasn't worth it. we wanted an out of the box solution.

Great service, good people. The software has a lot of great features, but the per person/per seat model is too pricey to take advantage of some of them that we need. We need to be able to budget.

#### Ratings breakdown

Customer support is great. they are invested in helping you succeed and very friendly. They take the time to teach you the system and listen. I really think they are trying to add as many features as possible to the product to let it work for any business configuration.

#### Cons

The pricing model doesn't fit my business. I don't need the full set of capabilities for all my users and it gets expensive fast. I want to do budgets but have a lot of users.

#### Reasons for choosing Teamwork.com

We liked the project and multi-homing features. Also embedded in our workflow

Overall our firm used Teamwork when we were starting out and used it for a number of years until the redesign forced our hand. We liked it so much that we go back and revisit it every year or so to see if they have added any new features that address our concerns. I would love to go back to using the.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Right off the bat, Teamwork is a beautiful and easy to use project management system. They made some tweaks to the interface a couple of years ago that made things a little more difficult to find, but overall they are still the best. There are extremely granular permissions, allowing you to basically setup any user however you wish, even at the project level. There are templates for both projects and task lists, a custom login URL, capacity management, and most anything else you could want except a few items. Overall, it is a great value for the price.

#### Cons

The first is the lack of email integration. We ended up switching from Teamwork to a different project management system and this was one of two deciding factors. With our new software we can communicate with our clients through email or chat directly from the current project we are working on and it attaches to the project so we always have a record. The second drawback for us was the lack of recurring projects. We do monthly accounting services for clients and we need repeatability. The recurring tasks feature did not work well for us, and quite frankly, was not well thought out. If you do a search for the feature you will see a lot of complaints around the internet. Another feature that would be extremely helpful but was not a deal breaker for us, would be a client portal. A login where clients can upload files and send up questions. We used other software for that but it would have been great to have them all in one place like we do now.

#### Reasons for choosing Teamwork.com

We chose Teamwork due to the ease of use and the pricing was much more attractive for the features.
