Infor Hospitality Management Solution (HMS) is a cloud-based property management solution (PMS) adaptive to meet today’s and tomorrow’s hospitality challenges. Infor HMS is used to manage a wide range of properties, and is recommended particularly for hotel chains, resorts, cruise lines, casinos, campgrounds, and government lodges. The system offers integrated hospitality management applications including front desk and property management, yield and revenue management, central reservations, housekeeping, CRM, financials, business intelligence, analytics, and maintenance management. It can easily integrate with point of sale, sales and catering, price optimization, and other applications.  
Infor HMS offers mobile functionality to engage with guests and empower staff:

Pros:

Infor HMS is a progress PMS solution, where new enhancements are released every quarter. Initially, our experience's were not great in 2016, as HMS was somewhat lacking in features. In 2018, we have integrated practically all our system's in Infor HMS, delivering best in Class functionality. Paperless check-in via IPad is the best product out there. Housekeeping Mobility, saves your business 12 thousand a year, as its included FOC! New check-in app allow's you to provide VIP Check-in Expierence like no other!

Cons:

The new enhancement's do come in wave's, and mandatory. Takeup of new changes can be quite challenging to some.

Overall, we are very happy with the INFOR HMS. The onsite training was top notch, the functionality and ease of use is amazing, and the reports that are available give us the ability to forecast and adjust as needed to maximize profitability.

Pros:

The reports that are available are extremally helpful. Training time with new employees has been greatly reduced. This is the third PMS that we have had and by far the best. Functionality and ease of use is amazing.

Cons:

The lack of a Defense Travel Service Module. It would be very helpful if we could message all in our system via e-mail. We have new challenge that will affect all our out of state travelers. The lack of rental car availability in Alaska will no doubt have an adverse impact on the majority of our customers. Being able to send a PSA to all our inbound guest through INFOR would be very helpful.

Reasons for choosing Infor HMS

It was the desire of the Pacific Region to select a product that would best serve the multiple properties in the Recreation Lodging enterprise. We collectively found INFOR would best meet our needs.

Reasons for switching to Infor HMS

Galaxy was purchase by Marriott and they informed all independent properties they would not allow us to renew our contract.

Pros:

Nothing. This system single handling destroyed the hotel's staff morale. Only feature that is better is remote friendly, meaning you can log in at home and use it since it is web-based.

Cons:

Everything. Our hotel "upgraded" our system from OPERA to Infor HMS. After 3 months of using Infor HMS, clearly OPERA is way more advance in their program. Infor HMS can improve on their billing screen, room assignment, finding guest reservations past/future, everything you can think of as it is NOT USER FREINDLY, you have to take multiple steps to do a single thing. It's basically an EXCEL Sheet someone created from their mother's basement.

HMS is incredibly user-friendly. It is easy to navigate using the drop down menus, and its bright, bold pages make it easy to read. Everything is fairly straight forward.

Cons:

I do not like the customer support options; often feels like phone tag and representatives can be hard to understand. HMS would also slow down somewhat regularly, causing a negative impact when we made reservations or checked people in, as we would be waiting a while for things to load.

The drop menus are self explanatory. Functionality is easy to work the program . Easy to log into the system from different windows.

Cons:

Not crazy about printing or separate folios. The screen does not show what you want to immediately print. And there is a long pause when printing.

Pros:

You can choose a lot of different options to personnalize HMS for you h&#244;tel. The support is always friendly as I have to contact them almost every day (which is not a good point of course).

Cons:

I use HMS since less than 6 months and I already regret my last software. Never seen a software so slow. Be patient, very very patient and ask your customers to be too. Too much crashs on the system, the support knows some of them but they can't do anything about it... Updates at any time without informations so you can't work for a moment and you don't even know what was the updates. Who made it, seriously ? Someone who's never at the front desk, for sure ! Sorry if there's mistakes, english is not my birth tongue. If you have to change your software, definitely don't choose HMS. Infor needs to improve and works a lot on it !!
