Lodgix is a cloud-based vacation rental solution that provides tools for online booking, guest management and accounting for owners, vacation rental managers and boutique hotels. 

The Lodgix inquiry system helps customers find answers to various types of queries including pricing, quotes and availability using template-based responses. It supports integration with external websites for listing ads including Booking.com, AirBnB, Expedia, Flipkey and Tripadvisor.

Additionally, Lodgix supports importing and exporting information from iCal for all properties and third-party sites. Users have access to a free Lodgix WordPress plugin for their websites. It also supports Authorize.net for credit card processing.

Lodgix comes with subscription-based pricing based on the number of properties. Optional modules that are available include employee management, e-signatures, property management and QuickBooks syncing.

Property and vacation management at its best!

Pros

The free trial is great. The customer service is phenomenal and well versed in how this product works. The payment management makes processing payments to/from clients very easy and safe. This product makes it very easy to import data from other sources, such as AirBnB.

Cons

I would like it if this software was also suited for a larger number of properties per account. But, it does the job for what I need.

Easy to set up and use!

Pros

Lodgix is intuitive to navigate and easily integrate-able. Great customer service and an extensive online manual that is actually helpful.

Cons

The only negative thought I have had so far, and it is not huge, is I would like to charge a pet fee per pet per night. The only way currently in the software is per pet per stay. For a property where stays are all typically the same length that is no problem. My properties lengths of stay varies from 2 days to 2 weeks and I would like to charge a little more in pet fees for those who stay longer with pets. The reason being wear and tear, not to mention cleaning, from pets is generally double what you see from guest traffic alone.

None waste of my time and poor customer service

After a long set up process I got everything up and running on my site after a small set up issue...

Cons

I made the mistake of asking one question regarding an issue with the WordPress install and they responded by saying maybe I shouldn't try to learn WordPress, which as network admin, I already know WordPress, but suggested I go to wix and have them build a site and drop the html into my site. Worst advice anyone could give and when I responded I don't need to LEARN WordPress and if the WordPress plug in doesn't maybe I should move on and the owner responded yes I should just move on. So with those great customer service skills I don't see why anyone would use this software. I own a large property management company and pay a lot for my software and wanted to this out. Now I know and will stay with what I have. [This review is of the Free Trial]

This particular individual was not a Lodgix subscriber. The individual had one property and was extremely rude to our support staff. There are many smaller platforms that work great for small accounts with less than 3 properties. Due to channel restrictions Lodgix in many instances is just not a great fit for those with <3 properties. This individual clearly needed technical hand holding and so we kindly suggested that he try a couple of other platforms that cater to individuals who don't understand all the technical nuances of wordpress and who cater to smaller companies. This did not sit well with this customer and I guess it upset him even though it was our intention to only steer him in a direction where his expectations would be met and happiness would result. He was a trial subscriber for less than 24 hours and does not represent the many 1000s of satisfied customers that are illustrated in the other reviews present here. Thanks! Lodgix

Accurate and Easy to use.

Fully integrated with Facebook, VRBO/HomeAway, etc with one central place to edit listings and rates and availability.

Pros

One central editing location for my rental listings and fully integrated with the leading rental websites.

Cons

I have to create my own monthly earned income report used for my taxes. They only have a check in monthly income report instead of reporting actual deposits for future dates as well as when the balances are actually paid for current accounting months.

Good, but not great.

One of the few affordable hosting services that has full integration with both Homeaway and Airbnb simultaneously. Unfortunately, the lack of dynamic rates or rate imports and other features makes it not a good option for me.

Pros

Easy to integrate with major channels like Homeaway and Airbnb. Sync availability, rates, and listing details from one source. Flat fee per listing makes it affordable.

Cons

Airbnb integrations incurs an addition 1% charge. No native messaging through the Lodgix app. Slow customer service can take hours to respond through online chat. Pretty confusing interface makes certain features hard to find. No dynamic pricing support. Lacks integration with some smaller channels.

Hello, thanks for taking the time to review Lodgix. It is true that we do not currently support dynamic pricing. To date the data just isn't there to say it's a must have for the typical vacation rental pm. Many who have tried it, have stopped using it. Another consideration is that dynamic pricing creates confusing interfaces and adds more complexity than may be desired by most of our customers. That being said we are actively exploring (and coding) to support dynamic pricing should it become a valuable tool in the future. If you read our reviews, one of the most noted themes is our great customer service. I am sorry you did not experience that, our average response time is 12 minutes for all online tickets. In reviewing your acct, you were only a trial subscriber for 3 weeks, and I don't see that you scheduled any training, nor did you submit any formal support tickets, perhaps that was the problem! Either way we will review our processes to try and get better!

It's a hidden gem - stumbled upon Lodgix + learned how awesome it is

Using it for over 1.5 years. The manuals are pretty up to date, it just takes some time to get acquainted and set it all up, but the team is very responsive. They have a blog I discovered that they constantly post updates from on new features coming up. They've updated a lot of the user/guest interfaces. Though it has taken awhile to get all things in order, it has saved us a lot of time ! Integrated PM account with Homeaway/VRBO and TripAdvisor/FlipKey, calendar syncing for other non-integrated sites. I've attempted to "try" or convert to another platform/VRM/CRM but due to the extensive set up process, I have not successfully switched. Lodgix has all you need at a great price. I'm glad we stumbled and started with this. It's pretty flexible/versatile, but if you want something better and are willing to pay top dollar, then there's other options out there.

Pros

Integrated payment processing, email and invoice template customization, automated trigger emails, custom rules/pricing, integrates with our website, homeaway, tripadvisor. 2-way calendar sync, and tons of reporting functions/exporting to excel or pdf is simple.

Cons

Can't import data, takes time to DIY and learn it if you don't have experience setting up a CRM/VRM. However, they'll schedule a time to guide you and show you via phone/web conference. I became acquainted with (and set up) this software just by using their online guide/manuals and some googling + some late nights when customers weren't calling.

Just works

I was given 1 month to switch reservation platforms when my current one went out of business. My web Pages were hosted on this platform as well as all guest data. Lodgix was a life saver. The wordpress plugin was great! I was able to get everything up and running within a week. Everything is pretty intuitive, especially for the customer. Some of the configuration options are a little fragmented but can be found pretty easily, especially with the documentation.

BEST PM SOFTWARE I HAVE WORKED WITH>>BOTH HANDS DOWN!!!!

I have only been using Lodgix for 3 months now and have found it a life saver! Getting started was fairly easy. There is a learning curve in some areas but mostly it is common sense. I have often peppered online chat with questions and their response was very good, no matter if it was 2pm or 2am. I have found customer service to be not only open to suggestions for improvement, but surprisingly agreeable to changes and enthusiastic about the implementation of such ideas to enhance the user experience. I have found customer service from the beginning and through the date of this review, that they have been exceptional. Customer Service is the obvious winner here! Customer Service really deserves 10 out of 5 stars in my opinion. All questions are promptly answered. Their scheduled trainings are not only informative, but they go out of their way to spend more time answering any and all questions even if not related to the training subject matter. Customer service is so wonderful that it sometimes overshadows the features and value of Lodgix software. I have been able to fully integrate many booking channels under one roof and even opening up a few more. Channel manager working great. I was able to bring over my current payment service. Everything, once set up has been executed without issues. Some time and diligence is required though. Dont try to rush your self to get going (it is easy to do I must admit). Take your time, you will be rewarded once you flip the on switch! I am beyond satisfied with Lodgix and so grateful to Brent and his team for making the transition into Lodgix painless.

Pros

This ability to fully integrate Homeaway/VRBO, TripAdvisor/Flipkey and Booking.com has been great...AND...ICAL syncing with just about everyone else!

Take your time to get to know all of the functions. You will be happy that you did.

This software is great!

It is important for me to be in control of my website. Lodgix is designed to integrate with my Wordpress site, and it does that seamlessly. The calendars all sync perfectly so I never have to worry about a double booking. The merchant account set up was easy and it works great. Digital signatures for my contract. Wow. Support is right there. I never wait more than a few minutes after leaving a message. There are so many more features I haven't even set up yet, but I had to stop and write this now. And the price is great too! It's a must get.

Awesome support and very powerful feature set

The worst thing you can say about this software is, that it's usability can be improved. But they have a lot of valuable features and an awesome support that makes up for all the complexity that the wide feature set brings. They are responsive and helpful. And they even say no, when no is the answer. It has improved the way we do our rental business. I love the way they sync all dates with all platforms via ics. Saves tons of time and allows to use loads of platforms. Cool stuff.

Syncing features. Ability to do billing including all documents like offers, invoices and such. Like the stripe integration

Cons

I needed to ask a lot. But support helped out awesomely.
I do not like, that they do not decipher between kids above and below 2 years like airbnb does.

No software is perfect...

...but this comes very close. I chose it because it was one of the few channel managers for small businesses than I could run on my *own* website, but it has many other good points.

Pros

Very flexible; very customizable; excellent, prompt support; excellent documentation

Cons

If you want a to integrate this channel manager into an existing website (rather than using just the provided pages) be prepared to troubleshoot--that's not really what the software was built for. Also, all the options and flexibility can be a bit overwhelming at first.

BEST! Rental Management Software

I have been using Lodgix since I started my vacation rental business in 2012. They by far have the BEST web based program, the BEST customer service, and the BEST tech support. In the beginning the staff had been amazing with assisting me with the set up and understanding of the software. One experience really sticks out for me with Lodgix's support. I sell discount ski tickets which is only a seasonal service. I contacted tech support to ask if there was a feature that I could turn off the sale of the tickets during the non ski season. At that time that was not a feature however, their response was "I'm pretty sure we can make that an option for you". Within a very short period of time I received a response back that they had added a feature to have the ability to turn on/off each service. There has not been much need for me to contact them since because everything works great for me!

Simple, Effective and Great design

We've now set this up on 6 Wordpress sites. Its so easy using the Lodgix plugin. We'd like a little easier way to customize the look and feel rather than having to search thru the CSS but its not a huge issue.

Adding or removing your properties to each individual site is a simple radio button. Leaving us the opportunity to create niche specific websites with ease and only including the vacation rentals that are relevant from our property list.
