it does what you need

Pros

we manage 2 separate storage facilities with the software. does everything it needs to for us to run efficiently.

Cons

when looking up a client you need to be in the correct facility. if you are in location "a" and you client is at location "b" your search for them will return no results. not an issue if you have 1 location but i can imagine if you are managing multiple locations this would be cumbersome.

Looks fantastic, lacks in accurate reporting.

Pros

The product is beautiful and has a VERY modern feel — especially in comparison to everything else in the storage industry. They’ve spent years catching up to the functionality that the old softwares in our industry have but they’ve done a great job.

Cons

My biggest issue is the reporting bugs. We’ve been struggling with them since we switched and it’s a huge bummer.

It is constantly evolving and upgrading to adhere to the ever-changing industry and technology that supports it.

In the beginning it was a lot of open promises about reporting and changes that were going to be made to the software without avail - however the pace has been picked up and the customer service is amazing

Love the web based platform

Pros

We swtiched from another platform that would crash when the internet would stop. This being web based allows me to pick up where I left off on my cell phone when that happens. I can also check the management reports when i'm away from the office.

Cons

The reminders screen is hard to remember as the tab off to the side isn't something I think about. I wish there was a way to put the reminders on the dash so it is the first thing you see.

Decent option for property management but not a favorite

Pros

I like that it's web based so that if the property loses power or internet we can continue on with our cell phones accessing the site. Reports are useful and thorough.

Cons

Overlocks are hard to catch as they don't pop up where you can see them. Operation is kind of clunky as everything is spaced out in places that aren't logical or convenient.

The Best Management Software our Facility has Ever Used!

We transferred from a moving company's management software. We've been with Storedge ever since and have not even considered looking at other software/company!

Pros

I enjoy the ability to assign notes and tasks to individual units or tenants. I can set rules and permissions for our employees. Storedge also integrates with our website and facility gates.

Cons

Has more features than the average Joe can make sense of. Full-fledged software!

Great customer service and very impressive with how dynamic the software gets.

Great software and easy more advanced then I had first thought at the start of using it.

Pros

Great customer service. Awesome videos if you are learning how to work the software. Cloud based! Not to hard to get used to.

Cons

Random errors occur. Customer service hours are a little earlier then I would like but its not pacific time zone. Some bugs that will get worked out eventually.

Fast and easy to use. Some issues with reporting.

Pros

I like that it's a web based platform, makes it really easy to access it from anywhere. It's very easy to train new employees on the system. The other great feature is the call tracking integration with software make it really easy to track leads.

Cons

The biggest con is the lack of reporting and the inaccuracies in the numbers. Because it is web based sometimes it does run slow especially when pulling large reports.

Attractive and intuitive user interface paired with frustrating functionality quirks

Pros

The user interface is well designed and intuitive for anyone who has ever used a smartphone. It is easy for site managers to learn and grasp quickly. Reports can be downloaded in various formats for analysis and data manipulation. Customer service is generally friendly and responsive. The management team continually works to improve the product.

Cons

storEDGE reporting lacks logic from an operational perspective. Their team does not have industry experience and this shows in their product. For example, occupancy reports order units by door width rather than by square footage which makes pricing difficult. Their suggested workaround is to export to Excel then sort which produces a report that is no longer user friendly.

Their word processing function is difficult to use and requires the use of third party software to format which itself is challenging and produces poor results.

Lastly, as the software is web based, storEDGE is plagued by snail like speeds and links timing out.

Very easy to use, has boosted our business.

SO many. Our monthly rentals have increased, our profits have increased and our tenants are happier with our overall service because of the help of the software.

Pros

The friendliness of the software is so nice. It is so easy to use and very easy to train. Our tenants love the ease of use for them to use the online rental center.

There is not much I don't like about the software. They are constantly fixing any glitches that it might have and are responsive when we need help.

StorEDGE is an awesome company! If I ever have an issue, the support safe is wonderful!

This software is convenient for both our business and our tenants.

Pros

StorEDGE makes our life a lot easier since units can be rented and payments can be made online, and this is also a nice convenience for our tenants. We are also very happy with the support staff. Everyone at StorEDGE is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Cons

In the beginning of using the software, it was a little confusing, however, that's true whenever you learn something new. The support staff was wonderful and helped whenever I had any questions.

Efficient.

The ease of conversion from one self storage software to another has been seamless.

Pros

I can access both our facilities with the same log-in. The software is user friendly. The fees are very reasonable.

Cons

It doesn't have some of the reports that our previous self storage software had. I wish it would have had compatibility with the credit/debit card processing software.

Great Product - Always room to improve

I like the ease of use. I think that the creators of StorEdge truly know how to create a management platform and they customize their platform and reports to the needs of different customers which I think is really impressive because every owner and operator is focusing on different things at the end of the day and have different priorities.

Cons

While I think that StorEdge has their technology and evolution to keep up with industry standards down pat, I do think they have a long way to go in terms of aligning better with the goals of the industry. They need more storage-centric people who have been in the industry for years and know how the field works in order to become the best.

Simple and Complete

Ease of use. Simplicity.

Pros

Easy to use. Has all the reports I need. I use it once a month to pull monthly reports for the managers.

Cons

Haven't used it long enough to discover this. As noted above, I only use it once a month. But soon other facilities in our portfolio will be switching to StorEdge so I'll get more experience.
