Vantaca has been a game changer for IAMHOA.com!
Vantaca has helped our accounting team so much that we estimate we have saved 2 FTE we would have had to hire had we kept using the software we were using previously. That enables us to focus more staffing in places that customers see and feel.
PROSWhereas most other community association management software seems to be an accounting software that was tweaked to do most things well, Vantaca is like someone took an amazing task management, communication and automation software and tweaked it to do everything else well. Think about the day of a community association manager. Task management and communication are involved in probably 90% of what they do. Being able to automate things and reduce workload is another huge advantage!
CONSWe have had a few experiences with customer support that were not at the level we had grown to expect. My guess is Vantaca has grown so fast they've had challenges growing their support team to keep up.

Frontsteps destroyed Caliber by never focusing on improvement.

Good property management software
I really liked this software if you're in property management. They are constantly updating the software to meet user demands.
PROSI really enjoyed the simplicity of the software navigation menu. It was easy to navigate and made doing the accounting job easier.
CONSCustomer service is nonexistent and you can't communicate by phone you have to submit a ticket for every question you have.
Reason for choosing Vantaca
It was easier to use than the other systems and was more affordable than the alternatives.

Moderate for all it was meant to be. With the lack of focus on small details like reorganizing folders, sorting features, reporting, etc. it make the job for managers more difficult in many ways when the software was meant to help.
PROSThe ability to tracking actions in the software.
CONSThe lack of focus on making simple processes better like dragging and dropping files in the system, the user interface on my messages and viewing action items is not user friendly, reporting features are limited, etc.

The ability to modify and streamline was most appealing.

Closest thing to an all in one Software
As a community manager, I liked being able to go back and look at things that happened before I was managing that community. This allowed me to be prepared for community meetings. As a community manager, there is a lot that goes on in your portfolio so being able to discover the information without having to wait for a response from the previous manager saves me time. As a systems analyst, I like being able to see the full history of what is done on any side of the platform. I can research and find accounting errors without a degree in accounting, and I can help train new hires and staff that may need a refresher, with real data. I can also easily use association data to demonstrate to leads (board members) the usefulness of the software. Board members can see how the data works with real information to help better make a decision when they hire the management company.
PROSWe have looked at other software providers and Vantaca is the closest thing we have seen to an all-in-one software choice. We have looked at software that has the things Vantaca does not, and we noticed that we would be giving up critical features if we did so. Things like Accounting Software, Board approval functionality, and process management. If used properly, Vantaca is great for historical purposes. If the users keep most of their work inside the software, the management company can see timestamps on when messages were sent into the system and when the users replied to the owner. The system has a database of all the information the management company needs for associations. This can include "is there a pool?" "what are the rules for pets?" which will make it easy for managers that take over a community or for the customer service team to be able to answer homeowner questions without having to reach out to the manager.
CONSThe system looks intimidating when you first start using it. Most users start to understand the more they use the system. After the user understands the process of stepping an action item, the entire system starts to make sense to users. Training is a MUST with using this software. It isn't something most users can figure out by navigating themselves. Certain processes are harder to manage in the software. Different communities have different rules for violations and the system does not allow us to set different violation models in the database. If you use the app, there are no issues however.
Reasons for switching to Vantaca
The system was outdated and most of the work was done outside of the database.

Vantaca is pure awesomeness
The Vantaca team has been so great to work with. They prioritize feedback and are constantly making changes and adding features based on user feedback. We requested an amenity calendar feature that has recently gone live. This feature has greatly helped our customer service team provide better service to our homeowners.
PROSThe [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and board portal have been game-changers. When board members are given the tools to be more self-sufficient they feel able to effectively make the decisions needed to manage their Association. The ability to view homeowner information and detailed financial reports in the portal has strengthened our working relationship with each board member. The magic of the income statement or profit and loss reports cannot be overstated. In the portal, board members can drill into each line item on the report to view specific GL details within the same report.
CONSIt would be really great to be able to have the action item window be able to open as a new window like a report or attachment. Being able to confirm the email addresses that were copied on an email or the specific details without toggling to another tab in a web browser would be very helpful.

The other software companies were very slow to make updates and improve their software.
