I can't imagine going back to life without Nostra
Visibility. The UI is simple, and it's easy for me and my team to know exactly where every resource is. It makes forecasting so much easier, and helps me optimize my project configuration by showing me how different configurations affect my bottom line. As our company has grown, knowing each of our teammates and their particular skillsets and interests has grown next to impossible. Nostra has been a game changer when it comes to tracking this information, and it even offers a fit score that recommends the best available resource for my project.
CONSNostra is relatively young, the bones are there but I think they could add some additional functionality to make it even more powerful. There are a few little things that might be considered minor defects in the application, but nothing major. I actually left feedback on one of them and they did end up fixing it!

Time tracking, project management, revenue forecast tool
I've felt my tracking of time and managing of skills has improved with the addition of Nostra. Understanding project status and looking at revenue forecast has helped improve overall utilization and expense management.
PROSNostra has helped spreadsheets become a thing of the past. Tracking time, revenue forecast, and managing projects and roles are made much more simple and easier to understand with the implementation of Nostra.
CONSIt's a relatively new tool but whenever my company or another client has asked for a new feature to be added, their support team responds and looks to find the best solution.

Very good time tracking and employee management software
I like that Nostra is easy to use and that I can log in via my Microsoft Outlook account.
CONSI have no cons about this software and it is really helpful.

Setting a new trend in resource planning and resource management
Excellent. I have enjoyed their approachable willingness to collaborate to meet our needs. There's nothing I would change.
PROSNostra has made the difficult task of managing resources and planning for future staffing needs much, much easier. They provide an innovative solution that us unique.
CONSThere are features and UI/UX gaps that are still under construction, however, the team has been quick to resolve any roadblocks to deploying.

Great recruiting management tool!
Nostra has been a massively impactful resource for me as the leader of recruitment within a mid sized software delivery firm. My department is responsible for making sourcing and hiring decisions as well as building engineering teams from our existing roster of employees. Prior to Nostra, we relied heavily on tribal knowledge, spreadsheets, and our database of employee resumes to allocate employees to the right projects. Nostra uses data about employees' skills, levels of proficiency, project schedules, and interests to produce a "fit score" for any given role, so when I am looking at a new opening on any given team, I see a huge list of possible options ordered by their "fit". This has been incredibly helpful with the complex task of team building! The Unstaffed Project Roles view has become my primary tool to view the open roles in our organization and determine our recruiting priorities / high level strategy. I typically sort by "start date" and "probability" to see which roles are most important to fill first. Conversely, I sort by "type" when I have a promising candidate and am deciding where they might fit (ex: If I have a solid Project Manager and want to see all of our PM openings side by side). I was very excited to start using Nostra and it's saved an immeasurable amount of time for me and the larger management team. The UI is clean, intuitive, and easy to use despite the complexity of the problems Nostra solves.
CONSI've made a couple of feature requests through the "feedback" tab in Nostra, and so far they've all either been addressed or are in progress. I am looking forward to having more easy-to-view data about which skills are most needed across different roles.

This is an essential tool for any professional services businesses
As the VP of People for a 200 person company, it’s so important that I have one place to find information about each employee for when I manage reviews or address concerns. We have all of our employees manage their own profile and have explained the importance of it for reviews and staffing, so we have great turn out with it. I like that myself or the managers can also go in and review or make adjustments to qualifications as well. It really creates a good environment for regular conversational feedback which is so important when your people are your business in professional services!
CONSTheir customer service takes feedback very seriously, but sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks to implement a requested change. It’s not a big concern, but in an ideal world I’d prefer a quicker turnaround.

Excellent Planning & Management Tool
The most impactful features of this software are revenue forecasting and resource management. We always know projected revenue for our work streams as well as resource allocation across the entire company. If someone is underutilized, it shows up in a report (same if they're over-utilized). In addition, if we make changes to a project, we can see impact to revenue and margins in real time.
CONSRecruiting features could be expanded upon, however I understand that those features are coming soon in an update.

Easy to learn tool for sales teams and executives to stay connected
Nostra’s project page is a streamlined way to view all active projects, and current deals. We’re a small team and don’t utilize a CRM, so managing active deals out of Nostra allows for transparency every step of the way without having to sit down for constant update meetings. The most important reporting feature for us is the financial forecasting. It’s easy to use, a clean interface, and has important filters that allow us to dive deeper into pipeline revenue and what we need to focus on closing. Since there is regular travel and this is a busy business, it’s important that we have this insight into what everyone is do

Great product withg a Myriad of uses with very responsive customer service.
So far, everything has been great! The software is easy to understand and use and the team helping us set up has been very responsive and helpful. Making sure we are content and have a solid grasp on the product.
PROSIt helps keep projects organized. Helps to better prepare for an upcoming project with skill trackers.
CONSThe names between Nostra and your connected software HAVE to be identical. If they aren't, it will create copies. It creates just the slightest bit of clerical work at the start but more than makes up for it later.
