### Most mentioned pros

- The platform helps maintain brand consistency with customizable lockable templates and integrates seamlessly with tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, and CRM systems.
- Marq software implementation has ensured that our organisation is more productive by allowing us to close more deals and accelerate general productivity.
- This is crucial for maintaining brand standards but allowing other employees/departments the flexibility to make updates to designs which frees up time for the marketing department.

### Most mentioned cons

- On my third attempt the store has gone and the contact number was disconnected.
- You will regret it if you have to use the warranty claim.
- The major thing we don't like about Marq is that the trial version has a lot of restrictions, such as no access to premium templates.

### Sufficiently easy template system!

I feel like Marq is a little outdated compared to something like Canva and I would love to be able to exactly use our brand fonts but Marq has many that are pretty close.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Templates are easy to load in and able to be updated quickly. They are relatively easy to find when searching and the ability to duplicate templates is seamless.

#### Cons

I wish the filtering of the templates would default to new to old, as many of our old templates are now outdated and I would love for the new ones to be towards the top of the list.

Discovered Lucid press because some of my co-workers are having trouble with graphic design app like Photoshop. I've been using this for almost 6 months now, and this app is helping my small business a lot, my co-workers don't need to rely on me as a graphic designer to edit small stuff like logo.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It's very easy to use, I can make a template and lock some vital assets on the design and my co-workers can just working and finish the rest without emailing me every 20 minutes asking for direction.

#### Cons

The pricing is the only downside, comparing to similar apps on market, this is probably is the expensive one I found.

Won't use again. Annoying functionality beyond the basics and felt like they nickle and dime to keep a document up to date.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 1/5

#### Pros

Just needed to create and upload a single document. Relatively easy to use to the basic functions, but there are many little annoyances when using the program. I can't imagine making myself use it again. Once the document was published I canceled the subscription and customer service noted we could make edits and republish if necessary with the free functionality. This was misleading, any decent sized document requires you pay again to make changes and republish.

#### Cons

Can't republish a document with any amount of minor edits unless you pay to re-up your subscription, despite the document technically being editable when you cancel your subscription. You can't republish if you're using too much storage space, so its essentially useful once you publish a single document. Misleading.

### I love Lucidress

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5

#### Pros

I find Lucidpress so easy to use. A few years ago, I was actively looking for an online application to make flyers and posters to market my business. I couldn't find anything and I thought I might have to develop it myself. It seemed like such a necessary product. Then I suddenly stumbled upon Lucidpress. It was exactly what I was looking for. With just a few mouse clicks, a novice like me can make a professional looking flyer, saving me hundreds of dollars at a time.

#### Cons

Every once in a while, I select a feature that is only available if I upgrade to a premium subscription.

#### Cons

Lack of an app to be able to function using my ipad. Strictly limited to pc or mac. In todays age, mobility is crucial and lucid press needs to get the ability to function on an ipad.

I love that I found a program that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and that is easy enough to figure out that I can use to produce an online magazine. This is still a rather new venture for me. I have no experience with this type of software and being able to figure it out on my own has been educational and useful.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I like that it is mostly pretty simple to use and figure out. Not having training in any sort of publishing software, this is a very good quality.

#### Cons

There are a couple things that are difficult to figure out sometimes. Maybe it just requires some tinkering and research on my part, but I would like to be able to have template pages to copy more easily, and have an easier way to add, delete, organize, and find the images I use.

It's so easy to work with and reasonable investment for my small business. I'm not a designer by trade, so I don't need a full suite of capabilities - I just need an easy-to-use tool to make good looking documents for my client. This fits the bill. They also have very responsive customer service.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It's easy to learn and much more reasonably priced than other, more popular software. Design is a small part of my business, so I don't need a ton of capabilities, but I do need more than Google Suite offers. I designed a 10-page annual report with Lucidpress and found it comparable to InDesign and QuarkXPress, which I've used in previous jobs. I use Chrome OS so I needed a web-based program.

#### Cons

It's web-based, so sometimes can be slow or freeze up. A small annoyance is the scroll bar is sometimes hidden under a button that expands the design menu, so I have to zoom in or out to be able to scroll. It's a very minor annoyance though compared to the ease of use of the program!

#### Reasons for switching to Marq

Price, operating system

For a cloud service to use in documents, it is very usable. Just don't expect to do creative design in it. Create multi-page text documents in it if you want, but do your cover somewhere else.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

My colleague uses this and invited me to try it on her account. It has nice features and allows you to create and layout documents, and provides a catalog interface so I can see and choose all my created content quickly. Easy to use for a cloud service, good for beginners to do basic stuff.

#### Cons

To be honest, it feels a bit old, reminds me of Aldus Pagemaker back in the 90's. Layout functionalities are limited and stiff, provides few options for creative design. Don't get me wrong, it is very usable and you CAN do good layouts in it, but it takes time and a lot more steps than what I am used to.

#### Reasons for switching to Marq

Didn't really switch, used those before, tried Lucidpress, then went back.

#### Pros

User intuitive, and simple to use straight out of the gate with useful templates to get even the newest of users started quickly. Brand Management options make for quick projects as well.

#### Cons

Free options are limited and the sizing and formats could be a bit more diverse. I personally can do the same thing in other programs with their free versions what requires a subscription to do in Lucidpress.

Used it to publish my wife's book on Amazon. She had a ton of non-standard writing too (poetic indents, lots of italics and bolds and quotes, etc.) and Lucidpress handled it all

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

If you have written a book and tried to publish, you know that writing the damn thing is one project, but getting it into book format is a whole other beast. Lucidpress is amazing for getting your words in book format. HIGHLY recommend if you're trying to self-publish on Amazon or something.

#### Cons

It's great. No real cons. Amazingly helpful tool and seems to just keep getting better/easier with every update. Keep it up Lucidpress!!

LOVE IT! I highly recommend this for a team who might be down on designers but wants to spiff-up their assets!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love how easy and approachable Lucidpress is. Without having any design experience I have been able to learn the software as I go (very approachable) and yet always produce professional looking designed assets. They have a vast template library that I find to have the best looking templates on the market! (Much better than Canva in my opinion). I also think the value for money is the best on the market. Lastly, I have been using lucidpress and lucid chart over 3 years and see the innovation over time. Native integrations with other key areas of our tech stack is important - such as JIRA and confluence.

#### Cons

It is expensive for someone who uses it infrequently. That being said, I have done annual contracts or month to month and never experienced any issues in closing and reopening my account (all my data was saved and their support team was very helpful in the process).

#### Reasons for choosing Marq

Better templates and I like the features and interface better! Also I was familiar with the Lucid-ecosystem (LucidChart).

### An intuitive platform for managing content and creativity

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

You don't have to be an expert in design to produce top-notch content using Marq. A selection of pre-made templates is available to you, which may help you save time and effort. Furthermore, Marq is a tool that anybody can use, even those without previous knowledge of graphic design, as it is straightforward and doesn't require much training. For small firms and teams without in-house designers, this is very helpful. I particularly enjoy the site designs it offers; they are straightforward, simple to use, and have a fantastic user experience.

#### Cons

The major thing we don't like about Marq is that the trial version has a lot of restrictions, such as no access to premium templates. To get around these restrictions, we have to purchase the premium plan. Marq also utilises third-party applications like Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud to enhance the flexibility of content production and customization.

Overall Lucidpress gets the job done and is a good resource for someone just starting out or looking to do some quick designing. I wouldn't recommend it to more affluent designers, but newbies should certainly consider adding it to their tool belt of programs.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Lucidpress is a good resource for basic level design rendering with a clean and simple user interface. It gets the job done. The company offers a free demo as well so you can do some basic testing of functionality before committing to spending money on it. The ease-of-use is a prominent feature that makes it a great tool for designers and non-designers alike. I would highly recommend this to people looking to do their own design work on a very basic level.

#### Cons

There is unfortunately a very limited selection of free templates to use and no library of icons or stock graphics to pull from. It limits and inhibit users some in the process. It would be a great feature to consider adding to make the software more worth the money.

This site is perfect for creative people and people who just need help getting something done. They can make simple event pamphlets or even simple business cards. There are a variety of options. I needed a site a few months ago to help me with my posts and blog newsletters. This site allowed me to create and I was able to work on my projects with no issue. I am glad I found this site and it’s helped me with my creative process as well. Simple and affordable prices as well.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

This site has to be one of my top favorites. I love how I am able to create so many different visual projects with this site. I have blog posts and writer posts that I create daily. I also work on newsletters and this site helps me get each assignment done. I love how I have so many choices in templates and I can create with each template design. I especially love the book template designs and the newsletter template designs. I also enjoy being creative with each one and it’s not overly time-consuming. I get to be free with what I am trying to do. I like how each button I need to work on my designs is on the left side of the page and very easy to get to. I love how I can go to my recent document section without a problem and I love the option of being able to upload my own images for each project. I love the amount of storage space offered and that’s a good amount for me. My user settings are broken down and easy to understand. Finally my other favorite thing about this site is that I am able to connect with Microsoft and also Google Drive.

#### Cons

I dislike only one thing about this site. I don’t like how there are only two free templates to work with when you are working on a book cover. It would be nice to have at least a few more .I know it’s the free version I have been using for a while, but it would be nice to have more.

As a small business I have a limited budget for graphic design. For small projects Lucidpress has been used for our one-off reports and mailers. This platform is perfect for people like me who have a limited budget and a basic knowledge of layout. I am sure that if I was a trained professional I could capitalize on all the features and do a better job, but for the projects that I have this is a great solution. I highly recommend this platform.

#### Pros

Ease of use. Everything pops. Lots of versatility and storage. When I create posters and flyers they look professional, more than professional. They grab attention, and I didn't have to attend 30 hours of online courses in learning to use complicated software.

#### Cons

I'd like to see the ability to "flatten" PDFs for printing. Printers have come back to me with questions regarding fonts, graphics, etc. that aren't embedded. I've encountered one or two glitches in a final printed product that resulted from non-flattened transparencies. I don't have Adobe's suite of products (and don't want to pay for or learn to use them), that's the whole point of using a product like LucidPress. Please get that "flatten" feature working!!!

Publishing for small churches is usually a big challenge with the people that need to often do it that don't have the necessary skills set to pull it off. Lucidpress really comes alongside people like me and make publishing flyers, brochures, booklets etc. much easier.

#### Ratings breakdown

It's not exactly my cup of tea, but Lucidpress really made my life so much easier. Often I need brochures, flyers and other things and this software really helped me getting that going. I'd recommend it particularly to not for profit organizations that need to publish some materials but don't necessarily have the means to do it. This program is a great alternative.

It is a good tool to show in a more attractive way short reports with support of images and dynamic typography. When staff training workshops (training) are held, the material to be used to support the workshop is easily done with this program.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5

- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Like Lucidchart, it has multiple preloaded options and multiple templates for the preparation of brochures, dynamic reports and creative templates. It is easy and simple to use, the design is selected, the templates are taken from the menu or some photo or support material is uploaded and the document is saved, this can be exported in pdf or shared through the web.

#### Cons

You must have a good bandwidth to use the program since it only works with the internet, in the case that a job is being done and the connection is lost, it is likely that some edition will be lost.

If you need a quick document or poster designed and you haven't dived into the Adobe world yet, Lucidpress will work in a pinch. The navigation is fairly simple and easy to use, and they've got a great selection of pre-designed icons, symbols, and pictures you can use. It's been a lifesaver for quick projects when I didn't have access to InDesign.

#### Cons

The free version is extremely restrictive in the amount of data you can upload + pages you can create. Good news: the first paid tier isn't prohibitively expensive (so expect to pay). Functionality isn't at all as robust as InDesign, and I've often found myself scrambling and searching to find a basic function like page rulers/guidelines. But if you're expecting basic functionality, this will get the job done.
