We have had a great experience with The Magazine Manager..and its always improving and offering us newer and better options to conduct our business.
PROSWonderful system that seamlessly pulls all aspects of a growing business in one complete package. From sales to creative to customer to billing-this system is pulls it all together. I especially appreciate the emphasis on inter-department communications options. I am amazed the ease of adding new product lines to the system. The phone app has been wonderful for the account reps as well.
CONSI believe the integration of this system was fairly smooth. There was a bit of a learning curve on both sides but the exceptional customer service portion of Magman is second to none.

Easy to use
Great. I also like that I have the option to work with a consultant at anytime. The Help chat for immediate answers is great too.
PROSIt helps me organize the sales, and production of every issue. I use it to track potential advertisers for each issue. As well as understanding past advertiser's behaviour.
CONSThere are so many features that are available and so little time to set up the system to your advantage. Almost every time I watch a webinar there is a new tool/trick to using the system better.

I was familiar with the process and I like how it works for me.
Reasons for switching to The Magazine Manager
When I first started with Lion's Roar we used Mag.Man. We switched to SF when management changed. When changes occurred again I was eager to return to MM, so we came back.

A solid product that can do it all, if you can figure out how to use it.
We were managing our printed magazine with a series of spreadsheets on Google until we jumped to Magazine Manager. Now our team has real-time access to billing, contracts, pagination and flatplanning. It hasn't been easy and continues to present difficulties, but overall I'd say using Magazine Manager has been a benefit for our company.
CONSThough they've tried facelift after facelift, I feel that the product is just so complex and has so much "technical debt" at this point in time that it needs a complete rewrite from the ground up in order to feel like a modern product. It is complex software designed to manage complex businesses, but it just doesn't meet the user interface and usability we're accustomed to in 2018.

You won't regret it!
I have been very satisfied w/ Magazine Manager; the program, reaching and tracking support has improved immensely; training availability and said category for training can be suited for individual needs.
PROSThey are making it so you can have one program that does the job of many. It's my CRM, it's my task manager, it handles my email marketing, keeps me informed of my team's progress; helps w/ me a/r; which has saved our company time and money in getting rid of programs no longer needed, reaching a larger client base and in staying on top of our collections. They offer regular training not just on their crm but sales trainings by their team as well as outsiders, like [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]. They are constantly improving their system;
CONSThat I can't make groups on the fly; that invoices can't reference an ad name; that we can't track when a client open's an email. however, when I come up with these instances these can either provide me with a work around or they are in the midst of solving that issue.
