- 3 stars: 190 reviews (6%)
- 2 stars: 32 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 15 reviews (0%)

### Most mentioned pros

- The built-in design tools and content management features allow me to take updates quickly and present design ideas in a realistic environment and that is what I like.
- Squarespace has removed some of the typical version control problems my team and I face with independent development and we have also been using data sheets to monitor leads and have had no issues so far.
- We use Squarespace to manage our website and as someone who knows nothing about creating a website or editing one, Squarespace has made the editing process so easy.

### Most mentioned cons

- One of the downsides to Squarespace is the payment feature. Although it is easy to collect payments through Squarespace's processor, it would be better for nonprofits if we could integrate with other payment processing servers.
- Depending on the design templates, you can't get always get all of the features, which isn't ideal when you love a template or when you switch templates for a brand refresh.
- Is stylish but pricey compared to others, with limited flexibility and some migration or customisation issues that may frustrate growing websites.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

Squarespace has a great reputation and has continued to add more templates to choose from, which is great.

#### Cons

The main con that I have is that you are limited as a designer to move and adjust the templates. The web builder is more drag and drop.

We've built sites in Squarespace for over 8 years. We've seen a lot of improvements in each iteration of the builder and have consistently been able to quickly create professional, clean websites. For some of our clients, the drag and drop builder is ideal for them to make their own updates (honestly, why are you paying someone else to change a photo?) There are limitations to what you can customize/change without CSS, which is also a good thing when it comes to clients accessing their sites, too. :) On the few times we've needed to connect to customer support, the team has been responsive and resolved matters quickly.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

We love using Squarespace to build sites for clients who need an easy platform to navigate, with a very user friendly interface. The templated sections make building very fast and the sites are always clean with hardly any technical issues.

#### Cons

The level of CSS you need to know for customization can be an issue for some people, however, there are good online resources to teach you. The pricing is also sometimes an issue for clients who are lured by sales on WordPress sites.

#### Reasons for choosing Squarespace

We choose the platform that we think best fits our client so that they can make their own simple updates.

Never returning, but it's not a uniquely horrible product. I could use it, but I would rather put my money into tools that offer more rather than just charging more.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

I liked the high amount of templates. You really can just put your images and copy into most of them and end up with a beautiful website. It had decent SEO features. Somewhat easy to navigate and use.

#### Cons

It is not in any way worth the cost. They charge more for nearly every aspect of service from payments to web hosting to domains. Customer support is kind, but lacking. The user interface is buggy and often extremely confusing. I also constantly encountered bugs on my site.

Very beginner-friendly. You don’t need to be tech-savvy to build something that looks professional.Overall, it’s been a good experience. It helped me create a clean, professional website for my business without a lot of stress. The only downside is when I need support, it’s not always easy to get immediate help.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Pretty good overall. You’re definitely paying for the polished look and ease of design. Worth it if visuals matter to your brand. The design is beautiful. My website looks very professional and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments. It’s easy to use and makes your brand feel elevated without needing a developer.

#### Cons

Customer support. I wish there was a direct phone option or faster access to real people. That part can be frustrating when you need help quickly. This is where it struggles. It’s hard to reach a real person quickly, and sometimes you just want to talk things through instead of waiting on chat or email.

#### Pros

I really enjoy how easy it is to use Squarespace. There are a variety of templates to chose from, so you can find something to fit your brand and needs, and I like that it's easier to add custom elements as well. I also think that it's pretty easy to add your domain to their website. Overall, it's a great value for your money and helps organizations of all sizes get their name out there.

#### Cons

One of the downsides to Squarespace is the payment feature. Although it is easy to collect payments through Squarespace's processor, it would be better for nonprofits if we could integrate with other payment processing servers. The other con is customer support can be confusing. In a day and age where companies are leaning into AI, it would be easier if we could have a person to talk to instead of endless FAQ page.

My overall experience with Squarespace has been absolutely stellar. It is a massive relief to use a platform where everything just works together without any glitchy workarounds. The native integration with Acuity Scheduling makes booking client appointments completely hands-off, and collecting payments through Stripe and PayPal is flawless. It is easily the best value for money if you want a professional online presence that runs like clockwork.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Absolutely beautiful and incredibly easy. Building a website with Squarespace is pure joy. The user interface is so clean and intuitive, making the whole design process smooth from start to finish. I love how beautiful the templates are the page layouts automatically look amazing on both desktop and mobile. Setting up my online checkout and payment system was flawless and took only minutes. For the time it saves and the stunning results you get, the value for money is outstanding. 100% recommended!

#### Cons

Because Squarespace focuses so much on making sure your site looks beautiful and stays perfectly aligned, it can sometimes feel a little rigid. If you are an advanced coder who wants to completely change template structures or build highly complex, custom page layouts from scratch, you might run into a few creative walls. It’s designed to keep things streamlined, which is wonderful for most of us, but power-users might want a bit more total freedom!
