Great product - easy to use

PROS

Ease of use. Very little training needed for everyday tasks. Candidate submitting, job building etc can be done in no time.

CONS

Reporting - all reporting can be done, training could be better. While reporting functionality is there, it is not easy to locate on your own.

I love using BrightMove

The only reason I rate BrightMove as 4 Stars instead of 5 Stars (and 9 instead of a 10) is because I don't believe there is a perfect system for everyone.

PROS

Having worked in Recruiting / Hiring since 1993, I have used lots of systems over the years and can confidently say BrightMove is my favorite system. I think it is very intuitive and easy-to-navigate. And if-when I am ever not sure how to do something, I can find an answer to my question fairly easily on my own or by contacting a Customer Support person in the U.S. who is easy to understand (instead of someone overseas who has a thick accent and makes me repeat everthing multiple times).

CONS

I wish there was a Auto-Login feature or a "Keep Me Logged In" feature so I wouldn't need to put in my Username and Password every single time I want to use BrightMove.

Okay product, crappy customer service

Pros - Easy to use, more additional functions (although most don't work very well) and cheaper than other options Cons - If you are operating in Canada many features are not yet functional; its annoying to use their LinkedIn integration, the resume formatting is so bad we often have to ask candidates to resubmit resumes directly to our e-mail; some issues with the interface/workflow; customization is time consuming or will cost you extra $ to do; the real CON is their customer service team I have asked questions several times, and if the issue is really basic they do okay, otherwise it can take weeks of e-mails back and forth, only to be told that the solution is either your problem or will cost extra to fix if you want........for instance I noticed that we were not able to integrate our BM account with our Monster account in 2014, at that time when I asked the CS team to address the issue it took several days of communications, and then I was told it was fixed, it was not fixed. Rather than continue to argue with the CS team at BM, we left it as is. Then in 2015 I again brought the issue to the CS team's attention, they said it worked again, and this time I decided it point out it still didn't work....they asked for our Monster rep's info to talk to Monster, only to then tell us it was our responsibility to deal/talk with Monster....urgh. Terrible customer service - exactly how do I communicate to one service provider about an tech issue that one of our other vendor's products has? It was the same with issues with Twitter integration, and several other requests I have had - basically figure it out on your own or pay us a lot to deal with our own crappy product bugs. Honestly, I wish looking back we had of gone with CATS. I have used that ATS in the past, and way fewer issues. Buyer beware!

While we certainly regret not being able to resolve the integration issue with Monster in a more timely manner, I assure you that we were working diligently behind the scenes to correct the problem. Unfortunately, we are sometimes constrained in integration situations, based on the flexibility, and responsiveness of the companies we integrate with. On a positive note, we were able to resolve the integration issue. We have additionally worked to improve on support communication during the resolution process. Thank you again for your comments.

We use this software daily to manage applicants and record activities

PROS

You can easily parse resumes and create profiles. We have a chrome extension added to this site (Text Recruit) that allows us to text from Brightmove and stores the conversation history that is super helpful. It would be great if Brightmove had similar built in features without having to manage a separate software.

CONS

Refreshing the jobs is cumbersome. The website is less user friendly with too many options that we don't use. The reporting is less useful...if I want to pull all candidates in submitted status I just want to click a button and not run a full report. Better yet, I would like that report to have hyperlinks to the candidate's profile or job so I can work off of the report.

Bright Move is easy to use

BrightMove is very easy to use and helps to streamline my process. The customer support live chat feature is wonderful, and allows me to continue to work instead of staying on the phone with a customer service rep. There are a couple of features that I would like to see come back (hourglass resume function, being able to print out placement details). Overall it works very well for my recruiting needs.

New update has lots of bugs, took away good features.

Brightmove is great for startups.

PROS

The vendor has excellent customer service. The product provided is decent for the price you pay. The functionality makes it easy to train new employees on. Searches are easy to maneuver and the customization for this system is very flexible. I would recommend this to a start up company.

CONS

I least like the following: Implementation is lacking: While there are tools in place to teach you how to put triggers into place unless you understand technology on what I'd describe as an intermediate level they may not function the way you'd like them to. The owner of our company stated that when they purchased the system for use any customization beyond the standard template software had to be completed on their own. When I started working with Brightmove there were many triggers that did not function the way they were intended to for what the owner needed. Simple operator error that I was able to fix, but it's not exactly simple for a person not as familiar with some of the tech intel. Data Manipulation: Data Analytics is hard to gain with this system accurately. There are multiple ways to manipulate the data and therefore makes it almost impossible to set tiered goals for the staff as the data is then not broken down completely. The numbers can be spoofed due to this oversight.

My overall experience with Brightmove is satisfying, they recently improve a lot.

Easy to use, excellent customer service, new Gmail integration, new ad-hoc report, good reporting tools,

CONS

The limited configuration for users in the dashboard, the ad-hoc reports need to be improved all user-defined fields should be available to create a report.

Great ATS.!!!

PROS

Great program to post jobs and manage candidates. I like the ability to rate candidates and post jobs to multiple sites.

CONS

Definitely would like the ability to connect the program to Outlook to email candidates. Currently, I have to jump out of BrightMove to send emails.

I love using Brightmove, it's so user-friendly and easy to organize information!

It is so easy for us to organize all of our client and candidate information so that unnecessary information isn't in the way of the specific things that I am working on!

PROS

I love that Brightmove allows me to put my jobs into a folder for just me, because I can find what I'm looking for very easily and go through my co-workers jobs if they need me to do something for them. I also really love how we can customize all of the templates that we need!

CONS

My least favorite thing is that after you rate a candidate, the page re-adjusts while loading so you might accidentally click on a resume that you didn't mean to click on.

Customer support is unbeatable!

PROS

The power search options make it easy to narrow down what you're seeking. Since I help create and post the jobs, the templates provided also ensure that you don't miss the most crucial information in the job postings.

CONS

No cons that I've experienced. Is it possible that the software is too amazing? Honestly, the only issue I've had is the information sorted didn't stay that way when I switched from job posting to list again. My overall user experience is not tainted by this in the least.

Great Customer Service!

PROS

I love the ease of use. The platform is very easy to understand and user friendly. I like the customer service options as well.

CONS

Some glitches. Wish it had more reports. They are adding new features often, so that is great! I also like that BrightMove gives its customers the options to add features and actually moves forward with them. Great!

What I like most about the software is being able to figure out new tools and functions so easily. The system is very user friendly and the support staff is always available to help out when needed!

CONS

What I like least about Brightmove is that at times it can be slow. There seems to be system errors randomly and sometimes it doesn't seem compatible with Google Chrome.

Review of Brightmove by Kutcher Tax Careers

Am a long-time user of Brightmove and am always satisfied. Have used another ATS and this one is superior. I can run and ad at anytime which has helped me make placements. The Brightmatch feature is a winner!

PROS

(1) Easy to use (2) Can run ads through ATS--so don't have to pay separately (3) Friendly and knowledgable staff (4) Brightmatch feature is a winner

CONS

Don't have 24/7 customer service and name recongnition is lacking--most of my clients never heard of Brightmove

I come from PeopleSoft and BrightMove is by far easier to use.

PROS

Simple and easy to use and they are constantly tweeking the software for a better overall experience.

CONS

Search results can be frustrating at times. Searching by internal ID on "all site" or "everything-internal ID" doesn't always give me results I need. At those times I have to search by "client" and find the job attached to the internal ID that way.

Happy customer with a few suggestions

Thus far I have had a pretty painless experience. The provided template emails help for a non-seasoned recruiter and the ATS is very easy to just jump right in to !

PROS

Allowing you to bounce between accounts easily, recognizable tabs for quick clicking, and overall color scheme keeps the experience bright and engaging,

CONS

A few useless tabs that take up space and could be used for better information gathering. The Notes tab does not have a time snap- so for a new recruiter knowing to bounce between the two can be confusing and irritating. Notes and activities are essentially the same. The tab with the graph has absolutely no use. If graphs were clickable and gave legitimate information, it may be useful.

All you can ask for in an Applicant Tracking System.

Manages everything I do throughout my day. Outlook paired with Brightmove is all you need to recruit.

PROS

Intuitive and well organized. No matter what you need to do in Brightmove, the answer is either obvious or just a live chat away.

CONS

The reporting leaves a little to be desired. Other ATS systems I have used allow you many more options.

PROS

I enjoy systems that are user friendly especially in the everyday hustle and bustle, sometimes you do not have time to sit and figure out long processes.

CONS

Really there are not any cons however if I had to think of one..... With any system there are always scheduled maintenance (when the sites are down), usually they come in the most inconvenience time.

Great Tool for Applicant Tracking and Sourcing

PROS

I liked how this system allowed me to see what status each applicant was in and set it accordingly

CONS

I did not like how to search for applicants because of the status they were in it made it difficult to find some sometimes

PROS

I love that as a recruiter I can keep all of my past and present candidates information organized. This really helps me to do my job to the best of my ability.

CONS

Sometimes there are software glitches but that is true of any software. doesn't happen very often!!!

Nice software

PROS

The customer service is great. It is very easy to figure out, user friendly. I like that your jobs go out to free job sites.

CONS

You have to go through several unnecessary steps to put employees on an order. You have to do the set up on your own, example setting up triggers to change someone from available to working, and then back to available when the job ends. It is hard to get everything set up to flow correctly. The system seems to run slow, a lot of wasted time waiting for things to come up. When you do a search and pull up a person, when you go back to your search, it somehow goes way back to a search you did earlier, so you have to type in the search criteria over and over.

Needing to integrate more effective job posting websites into Brightmove and have it automated. It appears that without Indeed, Source2 would have a difficult time in having a strong exposure in regarding to marketing jobs. Removing any possible setting options that could result in being in experiencing a negative consequence. We used the advertisement feature in BM where we could extend our radius search and we are now having issues

I use BrightMove daily, very easy to use and a great value for the money you pay.

PROS

The ability to navigate is very easy and almost like common sense. I also really enjoy the searching ability and so much more! I

CONS

My only cons abou the software would be the lack of reporting ability. The ability to create reports through BrightMove would allow our clients to have more ease when creating reports for upper management instead of keeping it in an Excel document as an example.
