In general, it has all the necessary functionality for messaging and calls: good quality video and screen sharing in calls, groups creation and archiving, files exchange, etc. It's easy to sync it with other software to receive notifications (Gdrive, Hibob, Hubspot, etc.). #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros I can sync Slack with my Google calendar (it's very useful as I receive reminder notifications 1 minute before my meeting). It's easy to create groups in Slack (even with external users) - we use it to communicate with out external providers too. It's also possible to create polls in slack channels and templates for standardized messages. Now the AI tools have also been actively implemented in it. It generates recap of all messages received (especially long ones) - it helps reduce the time on reading some long less important messages. #### Cons Nothing in particular. No issues or bugs identified so far. Integration with other software tools like Google Drive ,Zoom and other workplace apps are generally considered as a big advantage for me ,as everything can be managed from one platform . The interface of Slack is clean and intuitive , so any new team members can adapt quickly without any much training. #### Cons The things that I disliked about the Slack are depicted below The important messages can sometimes did not get in focus, when there are too many active channels or notification popping out at the same time. When there is a large teams or active workplaces, messages from multiple channels ,threads , and direct message can become overwhelming making it difficult to focus on high priority conversations. You can set your status and use icons so other users can quickly see your whereabouts. It offers instant messaging making it a useful chat tool. You are able to store and share files on Slack, with a section dedicated to files. You can get notifications or chose to silent them depending on your preference. Slack is a fun and flexible way of communicating with your colleagues. #### Cons Slack does take up a fair amount of ram on my laptop, and when used in conjunction with other similar products it can become time consuming. Slack offers a huddle feature for calls but I do not like this as much as with other products, and it seems a little clunky. The chat and file sharing capabilities are a big time-saver in getting sales pitches and updates to clients. It may not be ideal, but the good outweighs the bad. The ability to create specific channels for particular clients/projects is great, very easy to find what you're looking for when dealing with campaigns. I like the fact that I can send larger files like say a media proposal or a script etc. without putting the person receiving it at risk of having their inbox clogged. #### Cons Occasionally, I will not get a notification when I need to, and have to manually check. It's also not the best way to store older files, sometimes have to search for older files in channels and it's cumbersome. I have experienced some smaller issues such as the app freezing during calls, but nothing insurmountable. I like how they organize conversations. Notifications are easy to receive on laptop and phone. I can easily share files and also search for old files. I enjoy the ability to create and name channels. Lots of helpful features, including polls and schedule sending. I also enjoy the weekly trivia. Definitely worth the money we spend. #### Cons Honestly not much - I didn't find the card-sending features to be very helpful. I also find that some of the features, where you have to use a "/" to make them work, to be a bit confusing. Adding a bot for various features can also be time-consuming or confusing.
