It allows users to utilize tools like Office or OpenOffice that they are already familiar with, and, with the help of a very simple yet powerful templating language, produce high-quality PDFs. The API is easy to integrate, the documentation is great, the designer is perfect for supporting template authoring, and you can get support in under 5 minutes! #### Cons Carbone lacks PDF merging and form filling options. However, this is not the core focus of the product, and there are alternative tools available to manage these tasks. Nonetheless, it would still be a great addition! #### Reasons for choosing Carbone Pricing was very fair, and tempalating technology was above all other products for this price. #### Reasons for switching to Carbone The pricing for Carbone was very fair with regards to what itext was. The feature set and the workflow starting from Word template was a key factor in our choice, to replace Gotenberg too. #### Vendor response Thank you so much for your fantastic review! Regarding PDF merging, this feature has been available since Carbone v5.0.0 with a new formatter called "appendFile." It allows you to add one or multiple PDF files at any position within the generated document. As for forms, you can inject dynamic data into editable input fields within ODT templates to generate a PDF. The documentation for this is available on our website.
