Excel based product that's very flexible.
Flexibility in designing and running reports.
Pros
Very flexible and works well with Microsoft Dynamics. Ease in creating and designing reports. If you know excel, you know Jet.
Cons
It takes a while to run a report that has about 31 columns and 722 rows of jet formulas and sometimes ends up freezing the software.

Jet Reports Review
The infrastructure of staging database and data warehouse and cubes made it difficult to learn and maintain. I would recommend Power BI against Jet Reports as the BI solution.
Pros
The cube and data warehouse for the out of box data structure of the existing ERP systems made the development of the reports to be easier.
Cons
The complexity of the infrastructure requires people who has advanced IT skills and SQL query skills to maintain it and develop custom cubes.
Reasons for Choosing Jet Reports
Before Power BI came out a few years ago, Jet Reports was the best option.
