Heavy Wrike User

Wrike has changed how we schedule and assign tasks for the better. Our team finds it easy to use and navigate.

Pros

Wrike is a very powerful project management platform/software that makes it easy to keep everyone on the same page, as well as, keep projects on pace. I am the assistant project manager for the systems and integration depart I work in. We use Wrike very heavily to let the team know exactly where we are on a project, what their tasks for that day are, and finish tasks on time. We have been extremely happen with this platform and have found it to be worth every penny.

Cons

There isn't much bad to say about Wrike. It's super easy to use and does everything we need.

Wrike for Project Managers

Pros

I love how you can see all projects but star those that are yours or the most important to you as a PM.

Cons

I don't like how others can have access to your tasks and modify them without your knowledge.

Subtasks floating unattached

Pros

I like that you can add subtasks to tasks and add things like time and attachments per task item - very helpful.

Cons

However, I don't like that it is not clear the tasks are under a particular project. You would expect the visual structure to show a project and then its subtasks to be leveled under it, but instead they seem to float off on their own. When I disliked what I saw and went to cancel my account, it was not a simple process to cancel.

Wrike is Great for Collaboration!!

Pros

The software was very flexible for my marketing team, it allowed our team to be very agile as we worked through internal processes between content, design and campaigns. Also they are continually improving the platform with shortcuts and new features.

Cons

The only real issue was the way files were managed and consolidated but that was rectified in a recent update.

The best manager for creative and research projects

I have used this manager in projects that require extensive journalistic research, and in which it is necessary to keep track of the tasks to be performed, the results have been successful

Pros

Lighten communication between the members of the work team, spend your time tracking tasks with the tools it offers: assignment of tasks, notifications, sending reminders, the breakdown of projects you can reach is incredibly useful for monitoring , shows timelines, I have even exported the results to excel to present progress reports and results

Cons

It takes time to learn how to use it, for some the interface may not be very easy to use, so it costs a bit to integrate the entire team in the optimal use of the tool

Easy to use, flexible and constantly developing

I use Wrike to manage projects with outside clients, it is extremely helpful and over the last 2 years of use I've been pleased and impressed with the constant growth and development of the tools and functionality.

Pros

Wrike provides an easy-entry UI which allows you to get the basics of a project set up fast. As your skill in the platform develops, you can set up more and more complex and intelligent boards and rules which make it easy for a project to follow a smart workflow that is semi-automated downstream to other users.

Cons

I dislike not being able to export spreadsheet reports of my dashboard that structures everything in rows for easy manipulation.

Teamwork Simplified!

Pros

Wrike is a great tool that enables completing projects fast and simple! I'm able to work on my part of the project while my other teammates are completing their own tasks. Collaborating with teammates is made really simple which allow my group to coordinate and keep in sync with the projects' goals consistently. Overall, Wrike is a great program to work on projects with your team to get the tasks done efficiently!

Cons

Wrike is generally an easy to use app but if you are not on par with the updates that Wrike provides, it is very easy to fall off and not be able to use all the features that are provided. But overall, Wrike is a wonderful functioning and manageable client that although comes with little cost.

Power tool

Pros

I like the software for its high intuitiveness, so I can assign tasks with ease. It integrates without any difficulties with most of the programs that are used in our company.

Cons

It was quite difficult to integrate software with a secure document repository. There is no calendar in which it would be possible to view daily tasks.

Good software for project management. It's a big step up from Trello or other simple tools

Started a little bit ago to start managing our marketing team projects with Wrike. Not a bad tool or system, once you get things customized and setup properly.

Pros

Love that you can customize the workflows, create request forms, and manage team projects in multiple ways (boards, lists, charts, etc). Very powerful and granular tools.

Cons

Gets a bit complicated but it's not too bad. Once you get used to the lingo and how it works, it's pretty easy to setup things.

Good Project Manager Software

We needed a way to manage projects with multiple people, multiple tasks. This was it. Took a little to learn at first, but was great once I got used to using it.

Pros

Powerful way to manage projects, especially projects that involve multiple people and a lot of information. Really like the ability to create templates and processes that were part of work flows.

Cons

Feels a little clunky at times. Nothing exactly wrong, but it feels like things could be easier.

Keep your team on task, under budget, and on time

Project management, reporting bugs, documenting QA issues, maintain and document department SOP

Pros

I recommend Wrike for department and teams that require a lot of collaboration. I've also used Wrike as a tool to maintain and document department SOP.

I love that you can see in real time someone else commenting/editing a task while you are looking at it!

Cons

I wish it had a help desk plugin built in, the good news is that there is an integration with Zendesk

Amazing tool for managing small projects

Pros

One of the best things about Wrike is its ability to manage a large number of projects for small teams. Its interface allows users to easily see which team members are responsible for tasks which tasks, and also does a great job of offering a task timeline with multiple views.

Cons

The one con about Wrike is that it can take some time to properly learn, and it allows customization which can be overwhelming. Once users get used to the platform, however, it is an incredibly helpful tool.

Great Proof Review, so so Process

Pros

Good software, reliable, and great for the proof review of our graphics internally. Reviewing / proofing is best part of the software. Can proof internally / externally, and makes it easy to do so.

Cons

The file management and process workflow leaves a bit to be desired. It's ok, but manually need to work through the gnatt charts, upload files in separate screens, and doesn't do a great job of walking a product through from start to completion. More of a separated / distinct experience than a easy to follow path.

Brought sanity and transparency to our work

Pros

I choose Wrike specifically for the ability to submit project requests. 99% of our projects have to go through some sort of compliance approval, and auditing through a bunch of emails and folders that hopefully had everything was a recipe for disaster. Wrike allows us to have reporting and automatically assign tasks It's incredibly, almost overwhelmingly customizable, so I can have my own workflows to manage website issues while print projects can have their own process, etc, and these templates are automatically assigned, filled out, and dated when the requester fills out the form. The dashboards are nice so you can customize how you want to view your projects, and you can also monitor your team's projects to make sure everything is moving along, and easily step in and request help. Another pro is the collaborator user role, so coworkers not in our department can track, comment, and answer questions within tasks without seeing the other projects, and all of their communication is attached to the project and on record for everyone, including compliance, and not just trapped in one person's email.

Cons

Set up is daunting. Although we paid for someone to help us set up the process, we quickly realized that their orientation instructions weren't suited for our situation at all, so it took a few weeks for us to get everything into place. And I don't think our situation was particularly unusual, we're an in-house marketing department that needed to accept tickets.

While Wrike is really good about constantly releasing updates, there are some common sense things that have yet to be ironed out, for example, someone requesting a project can set a due date in the past.

Wrike is a powerful project management tool

Pros

The first thing I like about Wrike is that it's very easy to use. Setting up and assigning tasks is easy with Wrike.
I also like that Wrike can easily be integrated with a variety of softwares that we use, especially Dropbox and Salesforce.
Another feature I like is the tagging feature that allows me to easily link different tasks.

Cons

I personally think the interface is rather dated and due for upgrade.
Another issue is the lag I experience from time to time, especially now that we have used it for lots of projects.
