Highline is a cloud-based retail platform that offers Point of Sale, Inventory Management and Customer Management. The system includes advanced features and can be used on any iOS device, from iPhones to iPads. Location management is built-in and can scale from one store to multi-store organizations.
Highline was designed specifically to include mobility, so the ability to engage with customers is built right in. Running cash or credit transactions, returns and exchanges, and printing or emailing receipts can all be done on a tablet or smartphone. Sales associates are also able to record important details about clients and look up inventory without ever having to leave the sales floor.
Beginning in October 2015, merchants will be liable for fraud that occurs on chip-enabled cards unless they begin to accept EMV cards. Highline supports both EMV and Apple Pay out of the box, to help manage the security and complexity of EMV payments. This way, companies can adopt EMV and contactless payments, and avoid PCI audits.

Customer serviceeeee! I love how practically anytime you need help with any technical issues or any questions, Highline makes you feel like they are practically there next to you to help you. They genuinely want to see your business flourish and are so receptive to feedback.
The whole interface is minimalistic and easy to use - it didn't take long to learn. There are also various features to discover.
It's also super mobile! we take the handheld devices practically anywhere for events, sales, trunk shows, etc. All you need is wi-fi and you can sell anywhere. We can easily process transactions with cash or credit, issue refunds/discounts/gift cards, email receipts, have access to all product inventory details and customer/sales history.
Highline is also very keen on being ahead of the game - so far they're the first POS system I noticed to use Apply Pay and EMV chip with PINs. The Highline device is just a case that encompasses Apple devices and is equipped with a scanner to scan barcodes, which is pretty neat compared to other mobile systems.
They system is overall great - there are minor things that can be easily improved such as searching through inventory...it would be nice if the page didn't start from the very beginning again when we click on a SKU's details. I also wish there was an expanded way to search which customers bought what items or search by collection.
Hopefully overtime Highline can connect to our e-commerce site, which would make inventory tracking much easier. We also hope there's a simpler way to clean out old inventory details - we have so many old SKUs accumulating.
Also the devices can be fussy after an iOS update and must be restarted, but usually is easily fixed right away.

We use highline as our POS system at Tess Giberson. I find that it is quite simple to use, and covers all the bases in terms of what we need for our business. Because we do a lot of sales events off-site, it's been extremely helpful to have a mobile POS system that we can take with us anywhere. Importing inventory is very straight-forward and allows us to keep track of what we have in stock. Highline has a built-in template in excel which we fill out and import directly, rather than importing each item manually. Making sales is stress-free and easy, particularly with the new addition of apple pay, and we are able to send the receipt directly to the customer with no hassle. It's also pin and emv chip compliant, which customers greatly appreciate and prefer. The system also allows us to keep track of all invoices and sales records per month, and also by day. It's great to be able to see trends in sales at different intervals of the year.
The only thing I can think of that might make this program better is if you were able to search products by color and size, in case a customer has a request for a certain piece but doesn't have a specific product in mind.
I think that this software is great for small businesses. It's simple to use, makes sales a breeze, and keeps inventory organized in a way that's easy to understand and refer to.

My company has used Highline for over 2 years now and it continues to grow with our needs. I've had the pleasure of working closely with the Highline staff and they have always strived fix any issues that arise quickly and efficiently. As with any new company, there were some growing pains at first, but when I address a concern to them they respond immediately.
The interface is easy to use and easy to train my existing and new staff members on. I use Highline on all levels and continue to find easier ways to acquire the data I'm looking for.
My favorite part about Highline is the EMV and ApplePay capabilities.
