Oracle Retail POS Software

Oracle Retail POS is a software solution created for large retailers. It can only be deployed as a Web-based system.

Key features include line-busting capabilities, cross-channel offerings, save-the-sale and cross-store inventory search. The software includes critical information such as a customer’s profile, purchase and loyalty data, and has a graphical interface.

Oracle Retail's inventory management feature system provides Unique Identification Number (UIN) validation and direct inventory updates.

The centralized transaction data facilitates cross-channel returns, cross-store returns, non-receipted returns and security for returns. Other features include a barcode scanner, credit card processing, sales commissions, automated ordering, inventory tracking and purchase orders.

The Oracle Micros POS System might have been good when it was supported by Micros but since Oracle bought it they provide no support at all. They take your money to pay for support and don't record it properly so when you call because your system doesn't work they tell you to pay again or hang up on you. They take forever to pick up the phone to begin with so they leave you using your old cash register while they keep you on hold. No good at all! Run away when the Oracle sales person comes to call.

Likes Least

They provide no support for their system. You pay your money and you're on your own after that. Every time there's an blink in your electric service your back to using your cash register. It's a hopeless case!

Run when you see the Oracle sales person coming! You'd be a fool to put a dime into any Oracle POS system.
