Quetzal is a cloud-based point of sale (POS) solution for small businesses. The solution works with iPad but can also operate offline. It is suited for operators of apparel and footwear boutiques and other related retail segments such as accessories, cosmetics, toy stores, gift shops and pet supplies stores.

Quetzal includes a full POS system with customer and employee management, inventory management, reporting and analytics and an e-commerce integration with Shopify. Inventory management supports multiple color and size matrices and users can clone existing items in the system. The POS allows users to print or email receipts with custom logos and footer information. Quetzal can support 10 different languages and currencies and allows the user to select from a number of payment options.

Quetzal also includes a built-in loyalty system, employee leaderboard, customized reporting functionalities and many payment processor integrations. This solution is suitable for both start-ups and expanding businesses and offers client support through phone and email as well as training and import assistance.

Great POS if you are tech savvy

Pros

Quetzal has great features for the retail business, in depth reporting and accurate tracking of inventory.

Cons

The system takes a while to setup, printers, scanners and barcodes can be tedious to install and keep working. There are a lot of moving parts and if one thing does not work perfectly, it throws off the entire system.

Not very friendly to other processors. (They are accepted, but seamless integration is difficult).
