Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • Customer support is always eager to resolve my queries and the responses I get are mostly satisfactory leading to the resolution of issues.
  • Document control is very good once people are up to speed on the software. The ability to find documents especially on larger projects with numerous participants is very useful to us.
  • It is a great tool for managing projects and works really well with NEC contracts. Support has been good and the tool is a big improvement on managing via traditional DC.
  • Cons

  • Yesterday, a few of my projects disappeared for no reason, but there were no error messages or warnings that the software was down (it also happened to my colleagues so it wasn't user error).
  • Hours lost learning the system and redoing things. I dread to think how much it is costing the Environment Agency to host.
  • Buttons to submit forms or files are lost in the interface - just a drop down option to the side is not clear. Also, it is unclear that a document/form has been submitted - requiring double checking.

  • Pros

  • It is a platform that can help me manage my project more efficiently and to have a good outcome. It really help me to identify small issues before they become a big one.
  • The "not current" feature is fantastic and the ability to have all of their specifications, drawings and RFIs in one handy, easy to carry place is priceless.
  • Using this for QC is a huge bonus. Everything one one place, automated reports, and ease of use make this tool a great way to track outstanding issues.
  • Cons

  • The lag time drives me nuts. Not sure if its the device I have running the program or the software itself.
  • Is very expensive and for general managment or project engineer in the mining sector is very difficult to work with, because of the lack knowledge and is not very common in the sector.
  • For the field this cant be beat. In the office Bluebeam kills it.
