I'm writing emails and sending out reminder emails every day. Typinator makes it nearly effortless to instantly write what would otherwise be time-consuming emails. It also allows me to streamline other writing tasks.

I haven't encountered any cons yet. It can take some time to learn how to develop more sophisticated shortcuts but that's not necessarily a con, it's just a necessary part of the process.

Here is an email i sent to Ergonis: Hi there. I have used your product for years and although I use it extensively, it sort of flies under the radar because I rarely see the app itself. I just want to let you know that I find it in valuable for two reasons: 1. I do a ridiculous amount of repetitive text 2. I have chronic pain in both shoulders and using my fingers aggravates the pain On the first point, you can save me literally hours per day. I don't actually save time, I become more productive because I use that time to do more work. On the second point, the less typing I do, the less I aggravate my shoulders. So like I said before, I find your product invaluable. Thank you.

Simplicity of use is the feature I like best

I suppose having it tucked away in the corner of the screen where I can hit the Apple icon by mistake.

I don't know what I'd do without it. I have used similar apps on my Mac, but none have compared.

Typinator saves me oodles of time when responding to prospective clients and with my client follow-up. Clients constantly comment on how quickly I get back to them with information specific to their needs. I can do this in large part because, with a few keystrokes to trigger the appropriate information I've created and stored in Typinator, I can provide fantastic customer service and save myself loads of time.

I appreciate Typinator so much that I feel compelled from time to time to send a note to its creator telling him how integral it is in my day-to-day life. Ironically, I was about to send a note of appreciation of my own accord when I received the email asking if I would review my use of Typinator. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a version I could use on my iPhone and iPad.

Of all my productivity apps, Typinator is the one I use daily - often hourly.

I can use Typinator for both business and personal use. I've created everything from short snippets to entire emails in Typinator. Much of the work I do requires reaching out to multiple people/organizations with essentially the same message. Typinator allows me to almost instantaneously create correspondence for each one that can then be customized simply by adding their name in the Greeting. I'm also often asked by clients for availability dates, and I have a simple snippet that details my calendar procedure and includes a link to my online calendar.

Mostly user error. I have so many snippets, I sometimes forget I've created one, and inadvertently trigger it. However, being able to choose character case and other variables helps mitigate that.

I've used Typinator for many years and in invariably find myself when there is a new version and I have it installed across my multiple workplace computers.

I like the fact that Typinator will reproduce words immediately where there is a specific industry non-standard spelling. It is also brilliant for quickly completing forms where you have saved your regularly input data.

It can be a little confusing trying to add new shortcuts as the interface is not exceptional!

Made it easy to have canned text for static and repetitive communication, as well creating templates for populating numerous forms and applications fields. Useful for repetitive cli commands.

It has a bit of a learning curve, and took some time to discover some of the useful functionality for what I wanted to accomplish.

I would recommend the product to everyone because it makes my workflow faster and more efficient.

Snippets and spelling correction are my most used features. I use it for adding autotext like different signatures on emails based on who I am responding to. I also use snippets for adding commonly used text and it makes life so much easier.

There is nothing I don't like about the product.

Has worked reliably for years. The company continues to develop and improve the software.

Easy to create text expansions and to import, export, and enable or disable as needed.

Really no cons. There are competing products which for me have only minor differences.

Sometimes Typinator won't activate but after looking into there are reasons and is easily fixed.

I really like the diverse ways you can use Typinator. Especially the integration with Apple Script opens up endless possibilities, making the program like a Swiss Army knife in every productivity toolbox. Plus, it runs smoothly and the results are exactly what I expect. Perfect!
