Salon Iris features all-in-one cloud-based or on-premise software solutions suitable for booth renters to multi-location hair and nail salons. With mobile and tablet apps, remote access and a custom website with online booking options and client login portal, Salon Iris allows salons to track clients and client notes, client service and purchase history, manage appointments, maintain product inventories, manage employee schedules, process payroll, and market services.

The solution features automated text message appointment reminders and confirmations, QuickBooks integration, Facebook appointment booking options, POS, automated email marketing and more. Integrated credit card processing options allow for offering clients memberships and packages, loyalty programs and the ability to accept online booking deposits and no-show fees.

Salon Iris is available with monthly subscription pricing and offers in-house, US-based phone and email support and live online chat support. Real-time on-boarding training is included with desktop subscriptions as well as data transfer options.

Keeping stock take, showing everyones clients on 1 screen is a bonus so ithers know when they are free of busy. Keeping a record of the sales and transactions.

Pros

Super easy to use, adding clients changing times, paying for the service it all runs smoothly. I like how it keeps track throught the day, showing late customers no shows and then checking them in when they arrive. Keeping track of products on the system so you know how many you have left if your not so good at stock counting all the time. Just a really easy simple to use nice looking programe.

Cons

It is a little expensive but once you have it you wont look back. I cant say i have anything that im unhappy about with this programe.

Salon Iris - Unbelievable POS

Great software. This solution has been around for a long time and you can tell they have continually improved it the end user in mind.

Pros

This software does everything well. It takes a bit of work to setup but you are assigned a tech to help get through everything from loading clients to setting up employees. The scheduling is very easy to use and the online scheduling works very well too. You can extend this to include product inventory, salary calculations and booth renters plus employees. The system is very stable. The entire team learned how to use it very quickly too. The marketing module is easy to figure out too with nice segmentation features.

Cons

The employee hours scheduling is a bit unusual to figure out. You have to book people into the time clock in the future to schedule their hours and then make adjustments if they take a day off. Minor inconvenience.

Overall Salon iris is a blessing

Pros

i have been using salon iris for about 4 years now it has done wonders for me taking me from a pen and paper business to digitizing my appointments,
Customer service is a breeze (most of the time) short hold.

Cons

2 important think i would like to see added to this software and then this will be the best spa software out there
a better online booking
and intake and treatment record option

I didn't really like using this software. It wasn't easy to use.

Pros

I could save clients names, addresses, and any personal notes and information I want to include. It made keeping my book straight a little easier.

Cons

It wasn't very user-friendly in my opinion. It also wasn't the most visually appealing to use either.

Love this app

Pros

It was extremely user-friendly, having been a bit app shy in the past, I was skeptical about using this for my business. But the ease of it was incredible. Very intuitive.

Cons

This was a great app but I found it to be a bit too pricey as far as a monthly charge. They raised the price since I have started working for myself and I couldn't justify it.

This salon software is extremely outdated.

Pros

The only thing that I appreciate about this software is that it's truly made for a full service hair salon.

Cons

This software is extremely outdated and not user friendly. When I used this software in the past, I didn't appreciate that this software doesn't have a cloud option. One could only access the software from the computer it was downloaded on.

Great software. Easy to use. Nice templates. Great for employees to used. Customers love it.

Pros

I love that my customers can click on my website to schedule their appointment without my instructions.

Cons

I don't really have much to says, instead of if customer was to do cancellation, the software will not tell you if the customer canceling. But their is a software it called DemandForce for better quality. They are partnership with Salon Iris.

It's really pricey for what you get

Pros

I like that Salon Iris has an app that the stylists could use and book from their phones. And they could room reports from their phones, too without blocking up the salon computer.

Cons

I didn't like that the stylists couldn't book for other stylists from their app. Example: if a family comes in and splits between 2 stylists, they couldn't call 1 stylists to book the 2+ services. They'd have to call both

Not very user friendly.

It has a lot of features but its too expensive and not easy to use.

Pros

I've been searching for a salon software for our 7 locations. Salon Iris has a lot of features and tools to manage your business but its very difficult to use, slow and expensive.

Cons

This system its not very easy to use and is very slow on the calendar and while running reports. I've decided to use a different system. You can get better value for money with other systems.

Easy, Managing and fun to operate.

If my clients want addition service i can operate changes. I really love clients profile, marketing email, designing website templates.

Cons

To add more feature is extra, but if you want to make money you have to spend money. If a cancel I can't not see it. I wish Salon Iris can add invoice payment for client that's no call no show.

Overall good program for the price. It just wasn't a good fit for us.

It was easy to use with good features for starting out. It was designed well and visually appealing.

Wonderful!

Pros

I really like Salon Iris because I feel that it is very user friendly. There are a lot of different buttons all over the screen but once you have figured them out it helps one work very quickly!

Cons

I don't like the fact that there is pretty much only one way of doing things. I like having the options with other softwares to customize the page I am looking at to make it look more professional and elegant.

Pros

Ease of use on mobile devices. I love the option box that pops up now when you click on an appointment.

Cons

That I cant look up client history or info through the appointment. I have to go back and look that up through clients section.

It's very convenient.

I'm overall happy w Salon Iris. Easy to use. It's fairly quick to make an appointment or check etc

Pros

I think the remote access on my phone is the best thing about SI. It's super convenient and makes sense for making appointments theses days. Clients like to message me all hours of the day week.

Cons

I think it may be a good idea to customize the display of the screen. There is quite a few options that we don't use and it would be nice to simplify the view and easier to navigate with less options.

Very easy to use

Pros

Able to keep track of my schedule easily. Can check my schedule and am able to book appointments anywhere and anytime day or night.

When our internet at the salon is down. We can't use the app. I feel it should work whenever with the app on our phones

The best part of this software are the reports. No other software can compare to the reports

Pros

I love how detailed this software allows you to be. The reports really help you track your numbers and hold every employee accountable. It also has goal settings to help staff better recognize and achieve their targets in sales and services.

Cons

Poor customer service, not mac compatible , often redundant, not user friendly, support is not pst friendly they close at 4pm pst

Great experience and outstanding customer service

I wouldn't want to run my business without it.. love the automatic text and email reminders to clients for appointments..

Pros

Easy to use even for the technically challenged. When I have had issues (usually caused by me) they were quickly and efficiently handled with a phone call to customer service.
