Branch Messenger is a cloud-based employee time and productivity tracking solution designed for businesses managing multiple employee shifts. It offers the ability to track hourly work, view schedules, plan shifts, assign tasks and communicate with employees.

Branch Messenger provides both real-time and future visibility on workforce availability to help managers plan resources and workflows. A mobile self-service app lets employees track daily schedules, message coworkers and swap shifts. Managers can import photos of paper schedules or create digital calendars. Employees receive notifications of new activities or schedule changes, and can submit time off requests or apply for shift changes.

Other features include digital scheduling, geo-fenced location tracking, time clock corrections and paycheck advances. Branch Messenger integrates with the various third-party applications such as Zapier, Box, Salesforce and SAP.

Pricing is per user per month. Support is provided via phone and email.

easy for almost anyone to use, easy to set notifications, easy to swap schedules, love that I can see my schedule from my phone

Cons

no issues other than I have to upload a picture of my schedule for it to function, but all the other modules are great

Pros

Posting is very easy for everybody, very steamlined and easy to use. Going back to review is a button away.

Cons

Some limitation to the content being posted, and few bugs, but being fixed really quick. Overall, it is great.

This was my first real job and having something to lay out my shifts was real nice.

Pros

I like that I can see my schedule and get notifications on upcoming shifts.

Cons

Sometimes my time requests didn’t go through or I didn’t get notifications for my shifts.

I'm able to connect with my coworkers and digitize my work experience

Pros

Allows me to connect with coworkers and post my shifts. The schedule always transfers to my Google calendar.

Cons

It's buggy. I have a lot of issues accessing my message history and also have to close the app and reopen it several times before I'm able to view my schedule.

I like how it sends you that heads up alert when your shift is going to start. I like how you can just post a screenshot of your schedule and it'll use the information and I Like that you can add multiple jobs

Cons

Sometimes when you forget how to use it it is a bit confusing. I wish the layout was more of a grid with buttons. My profile. Post a schedule. Coworkers ect. I don't like how it's like a Facebook news feed. What's the point? Say if I had other co workers using the app with me something inappropriate could be posted

Pros

The messaging allows for quick decisions such as shift coverage and call ins, it also allows for team members and managers to communicate roles outside of work

Cons

That managers can easily, and accidentally, delete a workplace schedule, this is a very common issue in my workplace.

I was able to send out communication to all my team as well as ensuring that I could post schedules and communicate with my employees

Pros

The fact that everything is all in in app. A place to post schedule get in contact with employees and post availabile shifts.

Cons

The glitches in the system sometimes.
The app stops work or doesn't show you recent messages until later

Pros

Ease of use is great for getting my schedule from home, it just takes some time to load when my data is throttled.

Cons

Our team hasn't fully come around to using it completely because we don't use it for communication, only our work schedule.

Pros

Ease of use is a major thing for us. Some of the team is tech savvy and some not so much. This product really worked for everyone at all levels of experience that needed to use it.

Cons

Like anything there are improvements that could be made but they ARE being made frequently so no complaints here.

Always knowing what days I work this week. Being able to contact any of my co-workers. Receiving a two-hour alert before my scheduled shift.

Pros

I love being able to check my schedule anytime I want. I also like that I am able to release, or pick up, a shift. I like the daily calendar feature that shows what employees are working at what time. The messages section is nice to have because you can easily message a co-worker because you do not always know their phone number.

Cons

The total weekly earnings always seems to be off. I learned to not pay attention to it because it does not count my hours correctly. Also, the feed seems to occasionally be slow and unresponsive.

An easy way to see/keep up with work/ work schedule! And see what you'd get paid for that week

Pros

That I can see when I work and who I work with. I can see how many hours I'll receive and how much I will get paid that week! Also, see how many others work too! Also, easy way to get in touch with every staff member all at once!

Cons

It doesn't show my past pays like since I get paid biweekly I'd like to take my last week and week before to add up and see what my paycheck would be but it won't let me review past pays.

It empowers my employee's to make their OWN shift trades safely without worry.

Pros

The idea behind the app is awesome. Everyone is into social media, and it's like social media for your workplace and neighboring franchise stores! Easy to use,

Cons

Sometime it will say I'm offline and I have to close it out and reopen it. There are time I update my employee's info, hit "Save" and it keeps telling me there was an error until AGAIN, I force close it And try again.

Quick and easy app. Pretty straight forward. Easily able to submit schedules, add workers. I do enjoy how it automatically adds the workers weekly hours to their respective profiles.

Cons

As the GM I wish I can disable the changing shifts option. Even if they left it I wish there would be an approve ir disapprove option.

It reminds you when you have your next shift. How much money you're getting paid this week, and how many hours you're working.

I like that I can view my schedule, get reminders before my shift starts, and post shifts for my co-workers to pick up.

That I can't view who sees the post, to verify if they're getting the notification. I don't know if my co-workers are ignoring or looking at the posts.
