Branch Messenger is a cloud-based employee time and productivity tracking solution designed for businesses managing multiple employee shifts. It offers the ability to track hourly work, view schedules, plan shifts, assign tasks and communicate with employees.

Branch Messenger provides both real-time and future visibility on workforce availability to help managers plan resources and workflows. A mobile self-service app lets employees track daily schedules, message coworkers and swap shifts. Managers can import photos of paper schedules or create digital calendars. Employees receive notifications of new activities or schedule changes, and can submit time off requests or apply for shift changes.

Other features include digital scheduling, geo-fenced location tracking, time clock corrections and paycheck advances. Branch Messenger integrates with the various third-party applications such as Zapier, Box, Salesforce and SAP.

Pricing is per user per month. Support is provided via phone and email.

    It’s really easy to navigate and allows me to contact other employees if needed. I love that it shows me my schedule so I don’t have to call and ask what it is every week. My favorite feature would have to be shift coverage, it is extremely helpful when the unexpected happens and sends an alert to all of your coworkers.

    Cons

    The only complaint I have would be that sometimes the amount of money it says I’m making is incorrect but I have noticed it is more accurate then when I first got the app.

    Love the branch messenger app. It has really improved communication with the team. We use it for scheduling, business needs, and recognizing our top performers.

    Pros

    The ease of use and the automatic schedule converter to my calendar.

    Cons

    It logs me out consistently to protect my info. I like the idea in theory, but it's annoying because I don't leave my phone unlocked laying around enough for that feature to be convinent.

    Being able to share ideas and see what your other workers are into is very handy.

    I like how easy it is for you to get a hold of another colleague and to be able to see your schedule st your fingertips.

    Cons

    I don't really like the set up of the profile pages. I'm not sure how effective that is.

    It is simple to use. It is a more fun and interactive way to communicate with coworkers. It’s made switching shifts, getting our weekly schedule, asking time off, and getting updates a single simple and easy place to do so. It’s made everything more transparent for us. The messenger makes it easy to access every team member. It doesn’t have many features for the messenger portion as the other tabs due, but it does the job. I love the fact that it tells you how many hours you worked the week and how much you’ll get.i love that we get a notification two hours before our shift starts.

    Cons

    I don’t like that you can’t see the days you worked once the new week begins. It would be nice to look back on the app of the days you worked previously. It would be nice to also include the estimated total pay amount for the month or two weeks.

    People always show up for shifts and knowing the changes going on within the store instantly when they are posted has been a major benefit.

    Pros

    The ease of use and ability to connect and communicate with my store is so great! Notifications of posts are instant and i feel like it's easier to hold people accountable for shift trades and coverage.

    There's not really anything i don't like about the Branch app.

    Using branch the ease of anything revolving around schedules has been amazing.

    I’m a manager with a lot of younger employees. I’d much rather use this as a form of communication with them instead giving them my phone number. Plus we can view schedules at home, and I post daily motivational quotes, funny pictures, and recognition in the news feed.

    Cons

    I would rather this app take up more space on my phone instead of having to load everything every time I use it. I have Verizon and don’t get service at work. This makes the app only useful to me while I’m at home.

    It over all has been very good. it has helped in a number of ways but it would like it to work faster.

    It allows for the company to communicate and it allows employees to communicate with each other about shifts and other things pertaining to the company.

    At times it can be very slow. often times I will have to get out of the app completely, close it, and open it again for it to work correctly.

    We love the ease of this app. We just take a pic of overall schedule and we can look at that but I love that it notifies everyone everyday of their shift two hours in advance.

    My overall experience with Branch Messenger is great. I hope it is always available and helpful as it is right now.

    Pros

    I love that I can look to see who I’ll be working with, who I’ll be relieving and who will be relieving me on my shift. I love that I can have immediate contact with managers and co-workers. I love being able to see my earnings each week.

    Cons

    I wish our schedules were posted further out so we can make plans for holidays or even to schedule appointments.

    You can put in your hourly wage and it will count how many hours and how much you make in a week

    Its easy and quick to communicate with the entire staff. PS the added gifs are fun!

    Pros

    Its super easy to use. The entire team loves it.

    Cons

    If someone posts their availability I cant see it, and im the one doing the schedule. Took us a few weeks to figure that one out!

    Can easily see on a calender who is working that day versus fleeing through a schedule

    Cons

    When a schedule is posted it notifies me. But when I exit out of the app to pull up my calender app on my phone it will disappear. I have to wait for the schedule to reappear. Same if the chat feature is used. One second it is there then it is not. Wait for a while and it comes back. It is not very expedient.
