We liked Fleetmatics well enough but Verizon is beyond horrible. We are currently looking at how to get out of the contract we had as the service we pay for is not being provided even remotely. Find someone else, anyone else.... the Big Corporate Attitude is alive and well with Verizon and they just don't seem to care about the customer.

    Pros

GPS units are really good for machines that may sit in 1 position but are not truly 'idle' as the engine is engaged; fairly easy to navigate the dashboard

    Cons

It doesn't work! The system is glitchy and all customer service does it ping the unit and say "there are intermittent glitches that should be expected". Despite telling them a list of units have been faulty for some time, they just tell us everything is fine and we just need to deal with it. Which brings us to the next problem - customer service is HORRIBLE. They are impossible to get a hold of, don't answer questions and just flat out deny anything is wrong. We even tried our new sales rep and he refuses to respond to any emails despite numerous attempts over the last month to correct issues. Managers are no better - they really do not seem to care.

Just want to cancel at no charge and are being told will only get 30% off contract

    Pros

Very convincing sales reps...it will be everything we need it to do, so signed contract. This system would probably work great if you are an OTR

    Cons

Went over numerous times what we needed this system to do since we are not OTR and was reassured over and over it would do it and now are being told it will not. Horrible tech support

Good product, It works pretty well for all my trucks, and it is very easy to use, the app is awesome. Overall it’s a pretty good product, and helps me keep track of all my trucks

    Cons

Terrible service. I’ve been trying to get a new device installed for two months, I cannot even get a call back, it was much better when I was Fleetmatics

We hope we can get out of the contract without getting our attorney involved.

    Pros

The initial presentation with their rep. He was impressive so we signed up with them.

    Cons

The implementation has been horrific. Multiple training meetings cancelled. Signed up two weeks ago and we still don't have an invoice form in their system. The proof they sent us our artwork was distorted, stretched and off center. We had cancelled our old system and had to go back to PAPER INVOICING until we could get reinstated with our prior system.

    Pros

I like that we can create jobs and dispatch them to our techs while they aren't at the office. It is also nice to have all of their notes automatically attached to the work orders

    Cons

Projects are a little difficult to manage in this software. There is no real easy way of doing it. There is also not a way for our techs to view when they have previously clocked in and out, and that is a huge in convenience.

    Cons

when wifi is out of the picture then it runs a little slower and is more susceptible to error/glitching

System seems to be a collection of separate components that have been tied together with a common interface. Does not appear to have been written with a relational database, Info does not tie together

    Pros

    Nice Mapping, some reports

    Cons

    Tech Support is Horrible
Units disappear from the system with no explanation
Their own integration within components is weak.

Horrible orange gram and they keep billing won’t stop billing me even though the program neve lived up to its promises.

    Pros

The program didn’t work at all. My service men hated it and found it non user friendly and frought with problems. This is not a good program and they won’t stop hiking even though we don’t use it and haven’t us d it for a long time,

    Cons

Too many to list: Invoicing problems, stalling problems, sign on Problems, not user friendly, not attractive display, loss of use in field problems, ie internet problems with this software, service men don’t like too complicated. Importing old data problems, they said they’d help never did help. Not easy to use, not a good program at all. Nothing but problems the confirmation emails come out jumbled etc they keep billing even though I don’t use program or want this program anymore.

Make sure you get it all in writing!!! They will promise you the world to get you to sign and then you will be sorry... They will try to say that there is a two-week trial period. That was a lie...

    Pros

It has a wide variety of functions and customer service is just a phone call away. If getting dizzy in front of the computer for hours is your thing then this is for you!

    Cons

It has so many functions. it takes an office personnel to run the program. If field workers don't complete their portion properly it's hours and hours of Admin work to fix it. The people that try to sell it to you will lie to your face to get you to sign...

Don't let them lock you into a contract, trust me you'll regret it.

    Pros

Simple platform, easy to use if you get them to provide training. Can use for day to day routing and scenario modeling.

    Cons

Product is not bad, the company and people are the problem. They sell you the product and then charge for every minute of support. My company had to manage their upgrade to schedule 8. The project manager, developer, and product manager were completely disorganized. Not to mention the sales executive assigned to our account couldn't give two S's about our success.

    recurring workorders and invoicing

    Pros

Recurring workorders, easy to invoice, easy to assign new jobs to fieldworkers. Mobile and desktop access.

    Cons

ZERO support from developers. Sales will tell you once thing, it doesn't happen and you get zero response from any feedback/enhancements you submit.

The biggest problem we find is that you have to upload photos one by one, you should be able to check all the ones that apply and do one upload. And when viewing those photos and attaching to invoices, you have to download and review one by one, when you should be able to toggle through the photos quickly like you would with any other software or program. We have been asking for this upgrade since the day we signed up and the developers do not care or respond.

If they would fix the photo issue, I would give 5 stars across the board. But because they refuse, we have to use DROPBOX as well as this software to effectively manage photos. 2 different programs when 1 should be all that's required.

We largely use the software for dispatching and field management.

    Ease-of-use
    Functionality
    Quality
    Support

Simplification, the ease of seeing job laid out.

    Pros

I like the ease of use. The drag and drop tool to rearrange service calls is handy. It just makes it far easier to get an idea of what our schedule looks like.

    Cons

The integration with Quickbooks is not well done, and we had to stop using that feature. If we went back into a job ticket in Verizon Work, after it had been sent to Quickbooks, it would revert back in Quickbooks to reflect the job ticket. So we would losing any pricing or grammatic corrections that we had made.

It was a lot better then the previous software being used which was Foxpro

    Pros

Easy of use from screen to screen. Having the ability to run reports. The ability to log into the software on any computer.

    Cons

Not being able to exit from various screens back to the main screen. Not having the ability to run a report based on certain fields.

please steer clear of this product its a massive wast of time and money and simply doesn't work well. if you want endless train sessions, a product that can't be administer from a mobile platform, a huge head ache, lost revenue and lost time it might be the product for you. I truly feel SCAMed by Verizon and by this product. 3 month of a terrible experience and the still want to make me pay for the full 12 months. I'm looking at a total loss if i add up the cost of the app, the useless train time, the loss of productivity from my team as they were trying, the time trying to fix issues with the program, and im still dealing with lawyers because they are trying to make me pay for services they didn't provide. we even switch our wireless phones off Verizon to T-mobil due to this and found they were overcharging us for those to!!

    Pros

The promises that the sales team made, the promise we could integrate scheduling, billing, invoicing and GPS (but they couldn't deliver on it.)

    Cons

poor functionality, we lost data, we lost billing, its wonky, its buggy, its way to expensive, they lock you into a year contract and won't let you out even when the product fails to perform, its not intuitive, it really just a big scam

I gave a 60 days notice to cancel our account and they shut down our access 2 weeks later. Right now I have customers calling that want us to do work and I can't schedule them. I cannot add any parts or labor that my service technicians are out there doing. I also don't have access to the jobs completed from April 1 - present that we haven't billed for yet. I have spoken to our account manager and she doesn't have authority to get us back in line. Getting someone to call me back is next to impossible.

    Pros

It worked much better than scheduling and tracking customer data in Excel. For us to go from very manual to using software and an app was good.

    Cons

    Very little flexibility
A LOT of manual and very time consuming tasks required for a software that should allow for automation

    Pros

No much to like. It is hard to find and add data. The start up to the app is slow and starting a job takes to long.

    Cons

Was told that software would do everything I asked for. Signed contract and began moving info over. Then when we started to use it we found all kinds of flaws. When I made a list and called them to discuss it so that changes could be made. I was told those things were not available yet. Here are some of the things we found.
Can't adjust time, No inventory, Poor response for help. Everything is in the future. Slow to respond when trying to operate software. Print is so tiny on work orders you can't read them and are not adjustable. Print is badly spaced out causing you to use twice as much paper.
