AdvantageTMS by HA Advantage is a cloud-based transportation management solution designed for small and midsize manufacturing businesses and wholesale distributors. It offers distribution management, full truckload and less than truckload shipments, routing, vendor selection, industry benchmarking and reporting functionalities within a suite.

AdvantageTMS offers vendor freight management for both domestic and international shipments. The solution allows users to integrate route and mode management systems with the existing ERP system.

The solution allows users to search and select the least cost carrier and suitable routes for their LTL shipments (less than truckload shipments) from a list of partners. The product also features “optimized benchmark analysis”, which allows service providers to view their positioning in the industry and assess business performance against the competitors.

They need tonwork on their setup and that would iron out most issues they have

Pros

It was easy to access. It worked alright and it was fairly fairly easy to input information and print from.

Cons

It was not so easy to use for a newbie. It worked alright until everyday at certain times it seemed to have a gliche in the system.

Great JE tool, reporting and custom reports. Most reports export to excel without any issue.

Cons

if you have a mac, you need to go through citrix. takes time. But overall, not that big of an issue.

The support team is quite good, and has always solved my problems when needed; I just wish I didn't have to call them so much.

Cons

It's just not intuitive. Changing cost rates is way too difficult. Had to call support for a workaround because my changes wouldn't save.

It is ok for what needs to be done but there is too much issues that make what should be easy take a lot longer.

Pros

It keeps all of the info it should in order for us to keep working and going on with our day. I feel that if it actually worked they way that it should, it can make our jobs 10 times more easier.

Cons

So advantage doesn't "speak" to other programs so we end up having to enter the same information 3 different times. It also doesn't save properly sometimes even if we hit the save button so all of the information that we inputted has been erased.

Variety Distributors is a co-op with 1,000 plus members. We ship to 49 states plus the Bahamas weekly. Our merchandise mix is roughly 30,000 skus, which our members can order individually or in cases if they wish. The real reason we were searching for new software and transportation services was to streamline our transportation efforts as well as pricing on transportation costs. Before the AdvantageTMS system everything was done by telephone and email, which was very cumbersome. The implementation was very smooth, it was set up overnight and the training was very easy. We did have issues with accessories at the start but HA Advantage stepped up and made changes to accommodate Variety's issues. Customer support has been top notch; any issue we have is soon addressed and taken care of. The costs savings was huge to our members and they were thankful for the changes.
