Everything is chat, AI, call center, yuck. Not Ascend, real people like [sensitive content hidden] are paying attention and ready to help. #### Cons I wish there was a way to email carriers based on filters. Conestogas who have moved loads from MN to the southeast for example. We figure it out, but that sort o functionality would be ideal. #### Reasons for choosing AscendTMS Not sure. Took a chance. I've used several (far more expensive) TMSs in the past decade, and AcendTMS is the best by far. The ease of use, integrations, and great customer service have made me a huge fan. #### Cons My only critique is that there is no open API yet, but I'm told that's in the works. I did demos of a lot of different software and this one checked all the boxes. Support is very quick to reply and they are very open to changes or feature ideas. #### Cons Because the software has to cater to a large range and size of trucklines and brokers, sometimes that creates extra steps. Two examples, when uploaded a BOL within a load, you have to select the customer or it won't send with the Invoice. Other would be the customer email addresses show up when sending a carrier confirmation. They are unchecked and marked with a RED ! to say don't click this. But I would prefer they weren't there at all. #### Reasons for choosing AscendTMS Price, cloud based, intuitive feel, and friendliness of staff. #### Reasons for switching to AscendTMS Dispatch Mate by infosite was not option so I select one of there other products above. We had the local version that we paid for. They raised the support cost to be higher than the monthly charge for cloud TMS programs. It was stupid for us to pay for the hardware and support of the internal database and still pay more than cloud based software companies charge. #### Vendor response SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!! Thank you. At the end of the day Ascend has incredible features, and at value that allows you to scale from day 1 with 5-10 loads per day through year 10 doing nearly 10000 loads annually. They are updating features quarterly that add more value to the suite without making implementation a massive capital undertaking on day 1. Highly customizable environment that allows the user to build format that works for them. The ascend team does a great job assisting in any data uploading that is necessary to avoid costly data entry man hours. I have worked with other software companies, and none were as quick to reach back out with a solution. #### Cons If you don't have some sort of carrier setup integration, i.e. RIMS or some similar service, the uploading of documents can be tedious as you can only upload one doc at a time. #### Reasons for choosing AscendTMS We needed a product that could integrate EDI for our customer(s). For the price, Ascend was the best option. #### Reasons for switching to AscendTMS Pricing...Mcleod is very expensive and has regular upgrades that you are required to pay for.
