I've used several (far more expensive) TMSs in the past decade, and AcendTMS is the best by far. Everything is chat, AI, call center, yuck. I did demos of a lot of different software and this one checked all the boxes. Support is very quick to reply and they are very open to changes or feature ideas. #### Cons Because the software has to cater to a large range and size of trucklines and brokers, sometimes that creates extra steps. Two examples, when uploaded a BOL within a load, you have to select the customer or it won't send with the Invoice. Other would be the customer email addresses show up when sending a carrier confirmation. They are unchecked and marked with a RED ! to say don't click this. But I would prefer they weren't there at all. #### Reasons for choosing AscendTMS Price, cloud based, intuitive feel, and friendliness of staff. #### Reasons for switching to AscendTMS Dispatch Mate by infosite was not option so I select one of there other products above. We had the local version that we paid for. They raised the support cost to be higher than the monthly charge for cloud TMS programs. At the end of the day Ascend has incredible features, and at value that allows you to scale from day 1 with 5-10 loads per day through year 10 doing nearly 10000 loads annually. They are updating features quarterly that add more value to the suite without making implementation a massive capital undertaking on day 1. Highly customizable environment that allows the user to build format that works for them. The ascend team does a great job assisting in any data uploading that is necessary to avoid costly data entry man hours. I have worked with other software companies, and none were as quick to reach back out with a solution. #### Cons If you don't have some sort of carrier setup integration, i.e. RIMS or some similar service, the uploading of documents can be tedious as you can only upload one doc at a time. #### Reasons for choosing AscendTMS We needed a product that could integrate EDI for our customer(s). For the price, Ascend was the best option. #### Reasons for switching to AscendTMS Pricing...Mcleod is very expensive and has regular upgrades that you are required to pay for. It is rather easy to use after a few times in the system. I would certainly love for our Fleet coalition to utilize this system because it is easy to duplicate, easy to train others but i do wish the pricing was a bit more competitive. #### Cons The part that I was not in love with is when I had to add customers to the database. Ascend is a one stop shop for all your TMS needs. From tracking loads to billing out loads everything works great in an easy to use manner. #### Cons The one thing working in this industry is getting carriers to adopt new technology. I find that sending tendered loads via email for some of my more seasoned carriers is a pain. The text with a link feature is great and easy for my guys to use. Also, perhaps adding a feature where the BOL can be signed via phone. As a small business , this software gives me everything I need to process orders. It is easy to use and helps me keep track of my shipment statuses for my customers. I understand there is a section to add in my factoring email addresses into each order, but I am curious to know if I can just add an e-mail once and have it appear on all loads. i.e. my wife takes care of my accounting and instead of going in and adding her onto every account so she is copied, I would like to have her appear by entering her e-mail address once somewhere. If there was an alert or e-mail when a delivery date passes and a status is in transit, that would be helpful as well. There are a few little things here and there, but nothing major that I would change. I am a one man show, and would like to add a user, but me and my wife use the same login, and was wondering if a second user could be added at no cost. Otherwise at the moment this is great value. thanks for being my provider of choice. your team is exceptionally friendly. Bill Nofsinger is a great guy, energetic and a heck of a sales guy. You simplify brokerage software like no other, and I don't know why anyone else hasn't done this before. All the other programs I have used are not only more expensive, but much more complicated. The accounting module has been able to send all AR info to QuickBooks, all of the AP payments we have had to annually record because they released an incomplete module. Have had promise after promise made to us about software releases to only be told oh sorry we have had so many new features being released we haven't had time to work on the existing modules. My overall experience with Ascend TMS has been great! Extremely easy to use, very affordable and the customer service and support is always exceptional every time that I need it. most recently,[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] helped me figure out a problem I was having with my accounting side of the system and he was able to not only guide me to what I was doing wrong but showed me a way to deal with my issue that made my life 10X better! 10/10 would recommend this system to anybody in the industry! #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros I love how easy It is to use ascend TMS. I've been in the transportation industry for a few years now and I've used quite a few different TMS/CRM systems; besides being over priced, most are extremely confusing to learn and adapt to. I feel like Ascend TMS is the first system I've ever used that I knew how to operate at least 75% from the moment I started using it. Also I absolutely love how the systems remembers previous information and stores it for future use like customers, locations etc.. #### Cons Up to now I have zero complaints about the system. It integrates flawlessly with my business. The only thing I think would be a great future feature would be if it had an APP. I believe that would be very useful to companies like mine that are agent-based because as an agent you're using your phone for work probably more than a computer or laptop and although I have signed into the system from my phone when in an emergency, I feel like on an actual app it would perform much better. #### Vendor response WOW WOW WOW - thank you so much, David.
