No incentive was offered I've implemented multiple software solutions in the past, and Gatekeeper has been, without a doubt, the best team to work with throughout implementation and management. We've gone from having very little confidence in the accuracy and completeness of our contract records, to being the team and the solution that the company turns to when they want to know about a contract. Our company's rapid growth and the absence of a good contract management solution left us desperate for a better "way". Having a system that helped us file, organize, and track existing contracts was the most important first step. As we've continued to use the system and commit to the process, we are now able to be pro active with our contracts. Gatekeeper is the single source of truth. We strive to support each business unit's unique needs and processes, so a cookie cutter solution would have been too restrictive. With Gatekeeper we can shape our data and workflows to meet our teams' needs, instead of forcing them to conform to a software's built-in process. We knew adoption and integration would hinge on a system's ability adapt to OUR needs, not the other way around. #### Cons The customization's "dark" side is that it can take some time and commitment to learning how to create workflows and manage the custom data. Gatekeeper support was helpful for us in this learning process, though. Our support pros from Gatekeeper always respond promptly and truly listen to our issues and questions. #### Reasons for choosing Gatekeeper Practically speaking, we were drawn to the intuitive and clean user interface, as well as the customization and email/messaging options within workflows. The Gatekeeper team that we met with throughout our review of the product was friendly and helpful, but also honest with us about what the system could and couldn't do. This stood out to us and made us feel confident that we weren't be sold something different than what we would receive. We felt they would be helpful and patient with us as we not only implemented the software, but also created a contract management process. They have not disappointed us over the past few years we've been working with them, and they continue to be an extension of our team as we work to support our company. #### Reasons for switching to Gatekeeper We needed a contract management solution that was flexible and robust enough to track data alongside a document record. This is where so many vendor solutions with a contract component fell short. We also needed an intuitive and customizable process management solution for contract reviews that linked up easily with our existing email platforms. This was a functionality that very few contract management solutions provided, but Gatekeeper did. The dashboard is quite informative, giving us a clear overview of our security posture. Additionally there are definitely areas for improvement which will make it even more useful and broaden the scope for which it can be used. Having directly dealt with Frances on a recent project she has been very helpful and a pleasure to work with so I have no issue asking her any questions I have to further my usage. We like that there is an ability to create custom fields on the fly in most sections as well. #### Cons The reporting is not as robust as we had hoped. There are several pre-made reports that you can leverage, but there isn't an ability to create our own reports leveraging all of the different fields in the system. We also ended up having to purchase additional features that we needed, but weren't included in the plan that fit our company's record size. It is also priced very uniquely - by contracts and vendors v. by users. This could be ok if a company had limited records, but we have a lot, so pricing went up quickly. In addition, we thought we could decrease the record amount by nesting amendments and SOWs into the master contract record, but we can't do that as workflows have to create a new full contract record. #### Reasons for choosing Gatekeeper Gatekeeper had a more modern UI/UX that was easy and intuitive. We like that we can do our own configuration along that way via custom fields. I also need to ensure adherence to rigorous security standards that are demanded by our industry and integration of a chosen solution within the client's ecosystem of applications. Following a detailed review of the market, shortlisting and formal procurement process, Gatekeeper stood out as the class-leading vendor and contract management solution based on the feature set and flexibility of the application. The current solution available and the overall vision is compelling. We conducted a granular security review including our own penetration testing. It is clear from the output of this process that security is at the very core of the Gatekeeper application. This cannot be underestimated as we all move to the cloud. We worked with Gatekeeper to implement their solution quickly and effectively across the organization. A seamless integration with OneLogin has made provisioning and user access simple and highly effective. User adoption is high and we look forward to expanding the use of the solution to their Portal Technology. The Gatekeeper Customer Success Team and Technical support are, like the solution itself, the highest standard we have found in the industry today. It quickly brings up all documents that relate to the term searched. A close second is the reminders you can set up to alert you about important contract milestones such as auto-renewals. #### Cons When searching by counterparty it can be a bit awkward to remember to then click under the various tabs to get to the agreement. Easy to navigate and build out workflows from templates yourself is a massive plus. The Gatekeeper team have done a great job onboarding and go above and beyond to find effective solutions.
