Now it simply pulls the data directly from its source, providing each department access to viewing the exact same dashboard. This alone saves me several hours per week since I no longer have to perform manual updates to charts. The manager’s simply login to view the trends without having to request that information from me. Anyway I am using the Logility Platform to take our unorganized spreadsheets and combine them into one dashboard. I love the fact that I don’t have to understand coding to use it and I simply drag and drop the widgets where I want them. It also ties all of our various database systems together allowing us to finally see what both the sales teams and finance team are doing in one location. Prior to this we were completely dependent on manual updates to Excel. #### Cons Additionally the date filter widget is extremely buggy and usually doesn’t even function properly with the first click. It also gives us a centralized location for our client’s numbers, therefore they no longer ask me where the file is. In order to customize your own plots, you need to have some knowledge of technical stuff. The bus is running late again and im so hungry i could eat my shoe but at least building predictive models today at work was fast. You just connect it to our crm (customer relationship management) system and it does all the math without me having to learn python. #### Cons It uses way too much memory on my laptop when i run big datasets and sometimes it will completely freeze and i'll have to start over which is super annoying. Trying to get help from support people is a joke. They just keep sending you in circles. So happy to see that the dashboard reports are working properly. I find changing the data type of columns to be an annoyance. But since it handles the terabyte sized tables automatically for me, I don't have to do it myself. Essentially, it cleans-up large amounts of messy data logs generated from my equipment, then looks for patterns within those cleaned-up logs. And I am no longer required to spend countless hours writing every line of code necessary to generate predictions. It helps me link other systems together so that all data can be used to help each system function properly. Drag-and-drop the small squares to create your data pipeline in a few clicks without having to write code, great. The auto-find for my sensor logs selects the most fitting model with no need for me to tweak it for an eternity. #### Cons It takes literally forever to load at times and hogs way too much ram. My laptop fan was screaming about 20 minutes ago. Some of the python libraries were pretty irritating to get working as well. They just won't work smoothly or easily. The drag and drop chart's aren't bad, i guess. I am typing this out on my cracked iphone screen in the freezing warehouse office as i wait for our 3 pm truck to dock and my hands are numb. As usual enterprise software is a nightmare. Logility handles the excel files from the finance guys ok. #### Cons The problem is when you try to load a large data set, the loading wheel just spins forever and you're wondering if your computer died. Dax formulas are so confusing, i missed one comma yesterday and the entire inventory count was zero, which caused panic. I hate the licensing. It holds all of my companies expense data in one place so I don't have to juggle a million different spreadsheets. Honestly, we could probably just hire two more employees to do this but I'm impressed the 3-way matching functionally works without failing. I can also create a history of invoices from here. The basic workflow tool does what it's supposed to do. I'm glad it does handle our Amazon bulk orders (it doesn't crash). I can pull up the dashboards and visually analyze how demand inventory and supply chain are related to each other; and since these dashboards sync with our erp system the numbers i am analyzing are actual, not 3 days old. Forecasting accuracy improved since switching to Logility and that was not something id expected. #### Cons Setup was longer than we were told - i mean a lot longer. Its a little petty but the ui still looks kinda out-of-date. Finding an exact metric thats titled differently than the dashboard title takes a while. Why cant they be the same. Ad hoc reporting/analysis isnt nearly as flexible as id like it to be either. I think most of the non-technical people will be able to drag the objects around and it will not crash. The AI portion creates the descriptions for the chart and I was surprised that it created something that had some real meaning. The docs were better than expected. The Kubernetes build was quick which I did not expect at all and that was good news. #### Cons Windows users are dead and buried while Linux get all the new toys. Why do I have to write a script to change a font or add a simple word wrap to a widget. It seems as though they do no testing of the upgrades before releasing them. I spend numerous hours each week repairing the dashboards that were working perfectly well the previous week. No incentive was offered OpsVeda has become a very handy tool in our business processes at Siemens because it is now part of a larger audience. Initially when it was implemented, only 2 people from the team had an idea about what the tool could do. After 2 years, there are more than 300 users who are currently using the tool and more that are familiar with its functionalities. When I first took up the responsibility of managing the software as a main admin from Siemens, I had about 10 suppliers using the tool to its entirety. Today, I have 85 active suppliers that constitute more than 70% of our critical open orders who use this tool everyday. Suppliers that are onboarded onto our electronic process (EDI) of confirming purchase orders are now very inclined to use OpsVeda instead due to the interesting feature of watching the orders move from one grid to another when changes are made. We have requests from the EDI suppliers to start moving them to OpsVeda and the word is being spread all across the globe. The instantaneous response with every click, makes it more exciting for users to move towards it. This could not have been possible with the great team at OpsVeda that ensures questions are instantly answered and issues resolved. The most impactful feature it possesses is the ability to create exceptions to fix data errors in any ERP system. It is a very transparent tool with easy navigation. As troubleshooting is my everyday task at work, this portal offers insights in making my task comparatively simple than doing it manually. The automation used in this software is straightforward and easy to comprehend. Although this is an extensive tool that has varied features, it is tactically built. One of the critical features that encompasses any general software's success is the usage. OpsVeda gives the flexibility to monitor the usage metrics to quickly identify who is accessing the portal. This is especially important for an analyst to be able to gauge the performance of the tool and its users. #### Cons Working in a supply chain environment and dealing with purchase orders/acknowledgements, the one feature that clients look for is able to add attachments for easy access. OpsVeda develops new modules or capabilities quickly, but (in my case) their team can say that what is being developed is "included" in the "current cost" of OpsVeda, and then backtrack on it and say "it actually will have a cost", once the new module has been developed and presented to their customer (in this case, us in WD).
