Personal Review of Neontra
I liked the organization of the app as well as how easy it was to integrate with other products and its a super convenient method of money managements. I also liked the stock ticker integration made it very convenient to keep track of what stocks I want to buy and sell.
CONSI am a little unsure about having all of my financial info all in one place while it is convenient I would appreciate if they had an extra layer of security like a facial scan incorporated into the app login not only would it ease the access of the app for me but it adds that extra layer of security.

My experience using any sort of finance app
Overall I liked the app I through it helped me be at ease of mind and a lot less stressed as I could skip over the overwhelming stage of figuring out what I do. The forecasting and planning tools are a game changer. However I am still deciding if its worth its price or not. The app itself is a complete game changer but not sure about the price.
PROSI really like the forecast and goal based planning, it made it really easy and visual for me to see where my money is going and how I should manage my spending. It made this overwhelming process really simple. It helped me save a lot of time as I did not have to use my time nor brain power to figure out how to plan where my money goes.
CONSI least liked that initially it was a little challenging to figure out. I had never used a similar app before so maybe that is why but for me it took some time to figure out how to use the app. I also found the transactions aspect annoying as the whole process to do transactions seems really hasselsome.

Good Parts and Potential Bugs
I think it will be useful for many people who are interested in budgeting and saving.
PROS- Like the initial step of the app. Directing the users what the steps to be completed for the set up. (One thing to note here: when it is on the fourth step, which is setting up the goal, it doesn't direct me to the goal menu when I click the button "4th step") - Net worth performance graph, health check, and balance sheet are visually compelling and easy to understand!
CONSThere are a few bugs I have noticed. - Every time I go to markets > simulator and press cryptocurrencies button, it automatically logs me out of the app. Also, after I got logged out, I have to attempt logging in twice. - For some "?" buttons, they doesn't show the information as expected (e.g. Insights > Overview > beside the "Net Worth Performance") - Under the market > washlists, there are three buttons on the top. Clicking the rightmost button, showing a garbage bin image, triggers the app to stop and return to the iPhone home screen. - When I tried to add recurring income under cash flow > recurring, it is added as recurring expense instead. (e.g. adding $500 income shows as a negative value, -$500) Here are something I hope to see in the next version! - I wish the UI for the markets products' detail are visually appealing and easier to read (I'd suggest to have a chart) - Enable the user to add another wishlist lists in the market directory - Too many taps to navigate to on the top of the screen. It was hard to find where the things are at the beginning.

An insightful overview of my financial status
Overall, I think Neontra is a very useful app to monitor all aspects of my finances to help with some ease of mind. Sometimes trying to keep track of it all can prove a difficult and tedious task, but with this app it allows you to have it all in one place.
PROSWhat I liked most about Neontra is all the useful features it contains. The features range from cash flow and budgeting analysis to current markets and how things like assets and investments are performing. It is a great app that has everything you would need to track your finances, all in one platform
CONSBecause there is a lot you can do within the app, it can be very overwhelimg at first with how much you can do, and so having some possible form of guidance within starting to use the app could prove beneficial and ease the sense of overwhelming.

Interesting concept, could use some polishing
Reading some reviews I was a little worried I would be able to even login and navigate successfully at all, however the app does seem much more functional now. I still believe there is some work within the user interface as it is pretty overwhelming on a mobile app to navigate. The actual content of the app is great however.
PROSNeontra seems to have a wide variety of features to be able to understand my finances, set custom goals, tracking, see live data, connect multiple different accounts. It is essentially a great all in one app in terms of the number of features it has.
CONSThe interface, actually finding these features seems fairly challenging sometimes. For example, I would suggest a dropdown menu or a vertical menu instead of horizontal slide menus for items. For example, to find the customer support option, it took me a bit to realize that you needed to swipe on the top menu as on my device the entire bar was filled properly so it just looked like there was only 3 menus (Personal Info, User Settings, Subscribe).

Initial Neontra Thoughts - Has Potential
The app seems like it has potential but currently is a bit overwhelming and not very user friendly. There’s some bugs that need to be worked out but the idea for this app is definitely there. I think this app needs to have a user guide when first entering the app and helping the user navigate through all the options this app provides. From a new user perspective there’s almost too much going on in the UI. Would have preferred a drop down menu with the various sections under insights, money, cash flow and markets. Again this app has potential but definitely in a stage where there’s a bit too much going on and needs to be more clear for the user.
PROS- I like the goals section and being able to apply certain accounts towards the goal - I like that I can look at my accounts all in one place to track how much money I have - I enjoy the section where I can see dividend increases for stocks I’m interested in
CONS- Simulator Demo Funds help button does nothing - Slow to add a card and stopped working - Same with adding a stock it’s slow and bugs out - Lots of individual TSX single stocks missing. - Idk where my new watchlists go? - It’s a bit overwhelming for a new user. Needs to be more clear. - I don’t like that I’m stuck with a certain chart view, would be handy to customize or even change the time frame - Don’t like having to log in every time would be nice to have a keep me logged in function

Neontra App Review
Overall, I had a good experience with Neontra and would recommend it to anybody who wants to make it easier to manage personal finances.
PROSI like how Neontra's ease of use, functionality, as well as it's goals and visions as a financial planning application. The app encourages financial stability and achieving financial goals.
CONSI feel like the real time data such as the market prices under "Watchlists" could have been implemented better from a visual standpoint, including the product details for each as well as the interactive charts.

Canadian Student Free Trial Review
Overall a good app, it does the job well but personally for me, who is a student with only concerns to my spending and investments, competitor apps such as the native TD banking and MySpend apps are easier to use and are more convenient.
PROSThe app was easy to use, especially the integrations to link your financial institution and see the spendings and savings in your account analyzed. Overall, the UI is intuitive to use but a tutorial prompt at the beginning when first launching the app would have been a nice feature.
CONSThough the UI is intuitively easy to use and is well designed, the aesthetic of the app can use improvements. I see a lot of awkward blank spaces and the formatting of the "product" and "charts" pages of the markets tab can use improvement for better visibility.

It was a bit confusing at first but now it is very useful to me.
PROSThis is a great app and helped me keep track of my spending. It helped me realize what I can change with my finances to meet my goals.
CONSThe app is a bit overwhelming with all the features but once you learn how to navigate it it’s great.

Neontra - An Affordable Alternative With A Bright Future
Lots of competitors out there start charging at US$15/month. For a cashflow analysis app that's supposed to help you with your money, that's just a nonstarter for me. Seeing all my accounts in one place, tracking my net worth, and keeping up with my daily transactions are all great.
CONSIts a newer app, so some features I would like are still in progress, but they are releasing new features at a very good pace.
Reasons for switching to Neontra
Automated connected accounts so I didn't have to keep up to date with transactions manually.

Experience of using Neontra for the first time
Did a fairly good job on demonstrating the real-time financial status, able to distinguish between bank accounts, investments, loans and other personal assets.
CONSShould have used the actual bank icon to avoid any confusion, and should have some features making the app unique from regular bank built-in features for financial management.

A Solid Financial Planning App
Overall, my experience with Neontra was mostly positive. The application was very useful for financial tracking, and I would recommend the service (I used the free one) to most people who are looking to manage their money. The only complaint that I have is the unintuitive and confusing UI, which soured the experience slightly through minor annoyances.
PROSFeatures - There was a great variety of tools and features that, even for a first-time user, encouraged me to manage my money better. App - The availability and accessibility of the app was appreciated and allowed me to track my spending more conveniently. Variety - The sheer amount of options that even represent a lot of assets, such as physical cash.
CONSWebsite UI - The UI was very intimidating and a bit confusing for a first-time user. There were many different tabs and blurbs and the overall experience was a bit too cluttered. There was also a scaling issue for smaller-screen laptops, which was what I used. I had to physically scroll the tab to see the far end of the application.

Easy to use and really good design
What I like most about Neontra is its ease of use. Everything is simplified and the app's design is super convenient for Gen Z users, reminiscent of Instagram or TikTok but for financial aesthetics.
CONSThe interactive charts are somewhat confusing. As someone familiar with math and statistics, I can understand the graphs and diagrams to some extent. However, I believe that the average user may struggle to comprehend them, making the interface less inclusive in that regard.

Handy Tool for Personal Finanaces
I would like to explore more features of it and use it as a more efficient way to manage my finances compared to my current, archaic, spreadsheet method.
PROSIt was super easy to link my bank account and other investment accounts to the app to see my total net worth in one place and have it automatically sync.
CONSThe overall financial health check does not seem like an accurate depiction of my financial state but perhaps I just need to make more adjustments/customize my profile more.

An honest review from a financially clueless student
I had a good experience and I am happy I got it, I am not a financial person but I was interested in learning more about finance
PROSIt was very aesthetically pleasing, fun to work around and in general did feel easy to use
CONSA little more instructions on how to use the features could have gotten me to care more about my financials and use Neontra more.

Good experience, would recommend to friends and family.
PROSI mostly used Neontra for watching my spending habits and budgeting. It was extremely helpful for both and works especially well for me since I don't have a job at the moment and need to keep a keen eye on my financials.
CONSMy banking information didn't auto sync for me, to solve this I just logged out and signed in again. Not a huge issue but would be nice to see this fixed. I would also like to mention that it would be nice to have the log in connected to Face ID so I don't have to retype my password and what not next time.

Casual student use review
For someone only mildly interested in Preston finance I found this app easy to get started with and easy to navigate. Part of this was due to the aesthetics and proper use or figures and graphs. Part of this was the ease in which I could load my accounts.
CONSI experienced some crashing when trying to load in a credit card limit.
