Pay for what you get

Pros

NetSuite is a smart program with a lot of capabilities, if you can figure them all out.

Cons

Can get expensive with add-ons and plug ins. Time consuming workarounds if you don't invest.

NetSuite - Robust and customizable, but everything is an add-on.

NetSuite is a robust ERP system that I would generally recommend for medium to larger businesses. If you can get past the implementation phase, it is generally very easy to maintain. If you need a lot of customization for your business processes, be prepared to manage and test the customization extensively, as there are lots of nuances that can be missed during the testing phases that can prove very difficult later to fix when additional workflows or scripts are in place.

Pros

It's a reliable, secure, and easily accessible cloud service. The platform is robust, and has highly customization forms and reporting, as well as a a lot of integration potential.

Cons

The software is very expensive, and a lot of times, you will need to do heavy customization to have it fit your needs. You will need at least one full time staff on hand to manage the software as an administrator, and the training is very expensive as well. Most advanced features are an add-on, and are not cheap either. While robust, this software isn't ideal for smaller businesses because of its price tag.

Once you get the software up and running, it is very easy to maintain. However, implementation can be difficult, and success varies with the amount of customization you may need. NetSuite professional services, who offers customization build outs, generally leaves a lot to be desired. Most of their professional services providers were off-shore, and at times difficult to communicate with.

From OBIEE to NetSuite with no business process loss

Pros

The quick change from using Oracles OBIEE to the new system which allows a bit more flexibility more than just reporting.

Cons

Not so much software related but having a deadline to get the suite installed. It is a bit of an infrastructure overhaul getting systems to communicate with one another whilst converting tech stack as well.

Controller at Non-Profit Legal Service Provider

We have used NetSuite for two years now. The Software saves us lots of time and makes our job easier.

Pros

User friendly software!!! Great for custom reporting and searches, able to import payroll in a few minutes, drill down feature, web-based you can use anywhere and open multiple windows at the same time. The ability to scan in AP backup which saves space and time on billing and audits, recent activity allows you to find what you did last quickly, dashboard can be customized to specific users - shows key performance indicators such as bank balances, sales & expense versus other periods. There are workflows to automate task such as vendor approvals, customer service and all NetSuite employees are very friendly and extremely helpful. Also being a non-profit, NetSuite employees volunteer their time with through Pro Bono projects - we have used this three times with great results.

Cons

Any hurdles or issues that i have had were solved by reaching out to NetSuite. One year I was having difficulty printing 1099's but customer service helped get me on track.

MGIS review of NetSuite

We have been very happy with NetSuite. We switched to NetSuite mainly because of the financial statements. Our NetSuite consultants were able to configure the financial statements to best suit our needs.

Pros

I like the most about NetSuite is it is dynamic. It has a lot more functions than our previous accounting software.

Cons

It has too many features, which makes it harder to get an overall knowledge of the entire software.

The Best Accounting Software I have tried

Pros

I love how the different pages have a clean look, but nothing compares with the flexibility to modify all the reports to tailor to your specific needs. We have added a variety of custom fields so that we have useful data points that enable us to present and understand better financials.

Cons

I really wish they had better live customer service support.

NetSuite has a the functionality, lacks ease of use

It's a CRM and works but hasn't had the ease of use expected.

Pros

All my customer notes and tasks are easily visible.

Cons

Correcting duplicates should be easy but often isn't. Sometime NetSuite is super slow.

NetSuite CRM is not the only Oracle NetSuite product

It is a web based CRM and has been on the market for ages; hard to fathom how Salesforce managed to take all the thunder away.

Pros

NetSuite CRM is a fully functional web-based CRM with a good many features and functions. The customisation possibilities are incredible and it sports every API you can dream of.

Cons

NetSuite CRM is naturally bloated, as with all feature-rich products. Hence, the learning curve will require some time.

Easy Experience

The good thins about Netsuite is that you have everywhere conexion to your company numbers, data and information with a familiar and good user Interface. It helps you to make the "work from everywhere" real.

Pros

- Friendly user Interface
- Good to be manage
- With the correct training the daily tool feels familiar and easy to go through known paths and discover more utilities

Cons

- Most of the reports are configured to be at current period. You cannot modify the dates or specify if you only want just one month of some year for example.
- Sometimes it gets slower.

Good product but falls short

We are being able to sort out all of the information that comes into NetSuite in an easy to visualize and summarize way. However it's not as flexible as other databases we use. But in a first instance it's a great way to commute the information across all the systems the information comes from, the best part is that it's easy to use.

Pros

What I like the most is the ease to look for anything that's in NetSuite, also how it gives you a lot of options to download your information in diverse formats (excel, pdf, csv, etc), as well as to customize when you get which report (like scheduling a report) and lastly how you can get the system information (which is a great detail of the upload time, changes and so on and when they took place).

Cons

There is a limit to the information you view, so you may have to make a custom view with custom filters to see what you want to visualise, however the formulas in NetSuite seem to fall short so, customization falls short at times or even the profile you need may not have the customize option.

NetSuite takes geting use to.

Pros

We use Oracle in our daily business so this was a perfect marriage. The integration was seamless. We have a lot of data with the customers we are involved with and numerous reports. Also being in cloud based environment which we are getting more use to was a plus.

Cons

In the beginning like most software there are problems in getting use to and data reports had to be rechecked to make sure. But the more we worked with it the problems ceased.

NetSuite Review

NetSuite made it easy for us to customize the system to be used the way our business needed it to be. The user interface helps the user to easily get around the system too. While automating most tasks and having our financial data in the cloud, allows us to do our work wherever we are at.

Pros

NetSuite made my job easy. With the options to automate a lot of tasks, NetSuite made the month end process a breeze. From bank reconciliations to rev rec, NetSuite makes is so that you can spend less time in the weeds and do a more high level analysis. Their user interface is also very easy to navigate and use.

Cons

With our company, there were a lot of customization that needed to be done. At times, there was no good way to do these customizations in NetSuite, so we had to do some work-arounds.
