Positive Experience for a First Time ERP Purchase

My overall experience was 5 star. From start to finish Omnna was respectful, not pushy, and informative. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], my Omnna Sales Rep understood my decision-making process would take months, need multiple approvals, multiple demos, and a lot of phone calls with random one-of questions. He always answered or called me right back, almost always had an answer, and on the times he did not know the answer to one of my questions, instead of making a false promise, told me he needed to follow-up with his team and then get me an answer, which he always promptly did. Also they never tried to supersede my decision making power. I was tasked by our ownership to find a solution. Multiple other vendors tried to reach out to said ownership through things like LinkedIn or Facebook which I, and my [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], found a little annoying and rude. Omnna never did anything like that. They respectfully asked a time or two if our ownership would like to be present for a demo, which I kindly replied they did not, and that was it. Really a great company to work with. They do feel like partners rather than just a service provider.

PROS

The thing I enjoy most about Omnna is that it is an all-in-one* solution. After extensive research I found there are two typical models in the ERP market. An "all-in-one solution" where everything in the system is within the same native program and a "bolt-on" system where many solutions can be added to, or "bolted on", a base system. I star Omnna's all-in-one tag because it does use QuickBooks to manage the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and the General Ledger. But it connects to and auto-populates this information. Since the biggest problem for our internal accountant was data entry into QuickBooks, we were fine with this one small bolt-on, as she is very comfortable with Quickbooks. But here is why I prefer Omnna's approach. When you partner with Omnna you gain access to the whole system for the agreed upon price. With other models I found the bolt-on's yearly cost added up quickly. Examples: Robust warehouse management system with Omnna -Included Bolt-on's: We have a basic warehouse management system, but for your operation you need to add on this 3rd party warehouse management system that integrates with ours. Their price is $6,000 a year. Shipping with Omnna - Included, and they have some regional shippers already in their system,if they do not, it is a small one time fee for them to develop and add that shipper into the program. Shipping with Bolt-on - What? A non-national shipper? You need to add Shiphawk, that's an extra $4,000 a year.

CONS

There are a few high-level features I hope to see in Omnna one day that other ERP solutions have. Please remember these are tertiary features that have no immediate need within our business but features I saw in "Bolt-on" Models. Also remember these features were hundreds to thousands of dollars per year per user more. Incoming Email Capture - I saw this function on a CRM component of a competitor. Omnna allows you to email through its system, recording the outgoing emails to clients, which is great. But I would love to also be able to capture incoming emails in outlook with a click of a button, a sort of add to Omnna button built into outlook so that it adds the email to a customer file with a matching email. Again understand this is not a primary concern, but in our business we do have some dealings with federally regulated procedures, so this kind of ease of tracking on select email strings would be nice. Field Service Management - I have been told they are actually developing this within the system. I am excited to see it. We currently use a Field Service Management system that would not allow third parties, like Omnna, to connect to. Omnna did a great job reaching out. We wanted the connection to make completed services to auto-generate a service order to bill the customer for. It would make it easier and less error-prone for billing, but it was not allowed. So when their FSM comes out, it may mean we unsubscribe to our current FSM.

Reason for choosing Omnna

There are a lot of reasons why we chose Omnna. It has everything our business needs to replace our current system. The pricing was fair, but more importantly the TERMS of the contract felt fair. Other ERP companies sign you up for a termed contract with NO guarantee about the next negotiation of terms. I read many stories about businesses getting a "great deal" on the first term for a few years only to have the price significantly increased once the company was dependent on the system. This will never happen with us and Omnna. Also they have an extensive support system form recording the original training videos your team performed, to videos in a library that show how to operate the system, and a call-based support line. This is big for us as our team has been using a paper file system for a long time. Its a big change for our staff and we need as many resources to get it off to a good start as possible. Like I said, they just felt like partners instead of service providers.

Modern Chemical

It has been great. The sales team did a great job selling the product, and making sure we were taken care of.

PROS

I liked the data analysis aspect of it all. You can pull a lot of reports.

CONS

I think the UI could use a little bit of a facelift. I think the point was to be simple, so it's easily digestible, but I do think it could use a little more color.

Reason for choosing Omnna

We liked the salesman selling the product. You all seemed to want to serve our needs, opposed to others that wanted to dictate what you could do on their system.
