Stop Standing In Line at the Post Office
Very easy to use. Very cost effective if you have the postage need. It took us several months to begin to recover the costs associated with starting - but we realized our needs would grow and it was better to learn the system while still small than jump into something untested and putting our reputation on the line...
PROSEase of use... Online capability... Free Digital Scale (to weigh your packages and pay accurate postage)... Print your stamps directly from your desktop computer... Schedule a pick up or just "drop off" at the post office...
CONSMake sure your cost basis for using this system includes the monthly fees. When we started, we were actually losing money each month (until our postage expenses rose to meet this need). Be sure to order your replacement stamp sheets well in advance. There is nothing like running out of stamps to print and having to to the post office, only to come back and find your replacement stamps delivered later that day...

Stamps.com least expensive way to ship for a small online business
Been using Stamps.com over 10 years. very satisfied customer. great support, even when setting up a printer.
PROSintegration is quick and easy. Simple to use
CONSI wish they connected to more online channels. i would rather use stamps alone then together with Shipstation

PROSData import works fine from either Access or Excel.
CONSProgram freezes alot. Lose print jobs costing money. Can not reprint because the software froze. So far lost almost $300.00 of which I had fight to get back $167.00 so far.

Address data base is better than most competitors. Bad idea to go that route.

Great option for postage
I was able to purchase my postage right through the website. Once you set up the account it was very fast and easy to use.
CONSAs easy as it was to use there are other shipping options out there so you are limiting yourself by just looking at stamps.com

Nothing comes close to Stamps.com
Very positive and will continue to use them in the future. You do save a bunch on all the different carriers when you use Stamps.com and you can even schedule pickups.
PROSI have my Stamps.com account linked to Shipstation and have used it for over 14 years now and love it. Easy to use to find the best shipping rates for any order and shipment. I have all the UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS set up to check the cost of each to ensure we get the best price for each shipment.
CONSNot good at letting you know when FedEx, UPS, or USPS adds to the price already quoted and paid. But that is with any shipping software. They add additional cost after you have paid, shipped, and think you are done. Like adding $$ for delivering to a residential address.

Overall, they really came through for our organization during the pandemic. We ship out a decent amount of merch, so it was nice to avoid post office trips and potential Covid exposure.
PROSIt's nice to be able to do all the labeling work at home, without having to worry about being inside a dingy post office with no air circulation and grumpy employees. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple to use.
CONSThe Ux is very confusing, and the cost for labels is kind of outrageous. The fact that you have to pay a monthly fee is also not ideal.

Stamps.com has been a business game changer for the better!
Overall Stamps.com has been a great software addition to the business. It is easy to use, and has the most up-to-date technology. It has made the ability to ship and track packages a great deal easier. I would highly recommend.
PROSStamps.com is very easy to use. The ability to track shipments is also very useful if a customer asks for a package status update.
CONSStamps.com has a lot of great features. Sometimes the software is a little slow, but that will happen with any software.

Finally, a service that is completely post office free
There are so many features that I like the most about the software. The concept as a whole is very professional. Set up is extremely simple. It's all so nice to have all of my mail needs in one location. Financially wise, it is a steal.
CONSI don't really have anything negative to say. I do think that customer service needs to be educated better and perhaps more agents need to be hired.

Overall Stamps.com is a great company to work with. The united States postal is good company that delivers mail and packages for it customer for years.
CONSIt just a great company to with and the software makes it easier for small and large business owners. It convenience for everyone to use.

Turnkey point-and-click shipping for novices
I've set up Stamps.com shipping at several businesses now and it's always the first shipping software I select when setting up a new shipping operation. Ease of use and setup are huge pros for this software
PROSSuper easy to use and setup. You can be shipping your product on day one and having the Post Office deliver products to your customers. Just point n' click!
CONSIt's limited in other software integrations, but by the time you need those, you'll be ready for the next level of shipping software. For the ecommerce entrepreneur shipping from their basement, Stamps.com is all you need.

In my opinion, Stamps.com is easier to use than competitive products. Additionally, it receives official support and integrates directly with the USPS.

Stamps.com is good for small businesses
Stamps.com is a good starter software for small businesses. It works well if you are only selling on a few platforms and shipping small amounts of orders at a time. For multiple platforms and many orders, it becomes difficult to use. I find myself having to do a lot of things manually, like adding tracking numbers back into the selling platform to update the merchant and customer. I also hate having to purchase special labels and stickers through their shop as it gets expensive. They do offer great shipping costs though. I’m really neutral with this software. It works decently but there are better options out there.
PROSI like that I get low shipping rates and the orders are easy to find and ship.
CONSI don’t like that the labels and accessories must be bought through stamps.com as they are expensive.

Good program for small business
I have no problems with Stamps.com except that other programsa have not charged for membership because of covid and Stamps.com has not done this and is still charging a monthly fee.
PROSEase of use and cost per month is very affordable. Plus you have options to actually print out stamps and envelopes for mailings.
CONSThere are not as many mailing options as some other programs such as Fed Ex etc.

Clunky and Difficult to use
It isn't a horrible software, but for the monthly fee I expected a better interface.
PROSI was able to do what I needed with this software, like connect to multiple WordPress sites, Etsy, Ebay etc.
CONSThe software was clunky and had problems fairly often. It was sometimes difficult to figure out how to do things. The interface was just difficult to use.

Stamps.com is fine with me
Customizing shipping labels and tracking emails lends credibility to our small business.
PROSIt is a simple and comprehensive solution for shipping. It's easy to customize shipping labels for your business. Grabbing a refund is simple to do, although it takes a while.
CONSThe USPS pick-up feature seems easy but has never resulted in an actual pick up. Likely not STAMPS fault. Printing from other computers is a pain. I wish we could customize the shipped email depending on the sender's address. As I ship as multiple businesses, the messaging should change.

Customer support experience has been good. HIGH ink use not adjustable. Close program, lose reprint.
Ease of batch printing. Multi-platform. Ease of international postage.
PROSSeems to work well overall. Import of orders rarely fails. Works well with several platforms. Easy enough to learn and to teach to employees. Easy international shipping.
CONSThe inability to control the high ink use which also means SLOW printing. They say it is required by post office, but PayPal, eBay and Amazon do not require high ink print for postage printed from their websites. Accidentally close the program? Guess what? You just lost your ability to reprint any failed stamps. It is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. I can go back to eBay and Amazon at any reasonable length of time from the first printing of the stamp and REPRINT. I don't have to worry about accidentally closing the program or a power failure. Also, why can't we use the program at the same time as our employees? There should be multiple log-ins available. eBay is now offering a FREE multi-platform shipping service and I am looking into it. However, you guys do have very good customer service and I really wonder if eBay can match that.

You won't regret using Pirate Ship instead.
Between glitches, being unable to reach the support team, and being charged for using a free trial, I had no good experiences at all with Stamps.com, other than the customer service agent being polite. I don't like to leave one-star reviews, and I'm sure other people must have better experiences with Stamps.com, or they wouldn't be in business today. But I don't recommend them. Try Pirate Ship. Much cheaper and it has an intuitive user interface that takes no time, effort, or digging through help documentation in order to use.
PROSI was not able to use the software at all, due to glitches in every area of use--opening my account, shipping, and even glitches when I tried to close the account. The website didn't even let me in to ship anything at all until after I had closed the account. So I have no idea whether there are any good aspects to the software. I will say that the customer service agent was polite and helpful after I was finally able to reach somebody.
CONSIt's expensive, considering that Pirate Ship charges only the cost you'd pay at a post office. But it simply didn't work. The account wouldn't let me in to ship anything, so I started using Pirate Ship instead and tried to close my Stamps.com account. Even though I closed the account before my four-week trial was up, I was charged for the "month" that I had used Stamps.com. After sending two emails to the support team and waiting on the phone for fifteen minutes for a representative, I was able to get them to promise a refund. I sure hope there are no more glitches between now and the money coming back.
